I'm always a bit sceptical of a guided tour but this genuinely was excellent! The tour was engaging, full of fascinating facts and the guide had a great sense of humour! There were also rehearsals happening for the opera inside, so we were able to sit and watch that for 10 minutes. The building is an incredible structure! Can't recommend this your enough!

This is a fascinating tour giving a full history of the buildings origins and building challenges. The external balconies and walkways afford amazing views of the harbor including the bridge. Inside they explained about the acoustics and the materials used in construction. Very interesting way to spend an hour.

Wonderful opportunity to learn more about this iconic building, and it's development. Our guide, Nick, had a wealth of knowledge and experience which he was happy to share with us and his enthusiasm was infectious. He even made the climb up the many steps interesting, pointing out vantage points for photos, and architectural details which could easily be missed. Very enjoyable.

Our guide, Stephen, was very knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of information on the architecture of the Opera House and what it took for it to be built and completed. Very worth the time and money. Glad we bought tix early as the tours were sold out the day we were there. Plan ahead!!

Darrell was awesome, a wealth of knowledge, pretty sure he is a serial ‘over thinker’ fabulous story weaver, self deprecating dry comedy, he kept us on our toes! Great!

A can't miss experience of one the magnificent structures on earth! A guided tour into the spectacular design and construction is awesome.

To get a sense of the size of the productions, we began with the loading docks, which feature doors and elevators. We got a sense of what goes into putting on a show by touring parts of the dressing rooms, orchestra pit, and props rooms. We learnt about sound and lighting while climbing through catwalks. We saw the Joan Sutherland Theater, the Concert Hall, the Ballet Theater, and the Drama Theater up close and spent some time in an orchestra pit.

As the Sydney Opera House is a landmark and probably one of the first spots one thinks of as representing Sydney, my friend and I booked a guided visit with lunch. One should reserve in advance. Sadly I was very disappointed. The architecture is impressive but the building badly needs renovations on the interior which looks rather shabby. For a facility which prides itself on acoustics, the sound system for the tour was dreadful with constant static. My friend and I were to have lunch but the lunch included had long lines. I was not impressed with the dining facilities at the Opera House even the high end restaurant was not particularly good

David was an outstanding tour guide. You‘re lucky if you get him with your tour! Genuinely on me of the best tours I’ve attended. Can highly recommend to anyone - visitors or locals!
