About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 673roh0 contributionsGreat scenery and even better tour guide. The Blue mountains scenery speaks for itself, we had a day just how they promote it. But when you get a guide as good as Dave then the day becomes even more special. My wife and I celebrated our birthday here and Dave arranged a special picnic lunch at a quiet lookout, so nice. Stopped on the way home at the wildlife park for the kola bears and heaps more animals, ending our great day.Written 15 January 2025
- G8009BXjoes0 contributionsThey take good care of your family. As we were a family with young children we chose a private trip to the mountains. We wanted just us and the guide as we had a 5 and 8 year old with us. Extra nice service being picked up at 9am at our b and B and returned at 5pm. We got to see the 3 Sisters, do all the rides at the Scenery World, nice lunch at the Katoomba cafe, Dave suggested Yellow Deli which was so goo. The final stop off was to see koala bears, dingos, crocs etc. at an animal sanctuary. It was worth coming all the way from the USA just to make this day. Full marks to Blue Ribbon.Written 11 January 2025
- Swedever0 contributionsIncredible to see.Katoomba is at the top of the mountains. Dave took us up there with us smooth driving and he knows all about Sydney and gave an excellent commentary all the way. The cliffs and gorges have beautiful colours and it’s all so green. On the return we stopped at a Wildlife sanctuary to pat Koala bears and Kangeroos ,it was a special time. We had such a nice day , having Dave to ourselves as the escort made the difference.Written 27 December 2024
- tomlopez990 contributionsBrilliant private tour.Visiting for the New year and had a spare day for the Blue mountains. Last time we did a bus tour so thought spend a little more and take a private trip. Our hotel again recommended Blue Ribbon and we had Darren to guide us. Such a gentleman and showed us so much, with a few hikes and nice picnic lunch. Another top day to end our year.Written 25 December 2024
- D2096UCdiannep0 contributionsFresh eucalyptus Aidan's incredible scenery made for a great day.Getting out of a big city was our aim to have a day in fresh air and Dave was the man for our private tour into the mountains. After a 9am start which we asked for a late time we arrived in Katoomba around 10.30. We saw many lookouts and added the option to do the Scenic world which we really enjoyed having 90 minutes there to take all the rides and leisurely do the forest boardwalk. Dave was with us to take care and explain trees and animals. We came back to Sydney on the ferry for 45minutes ending our best day in Oz.Written 21 December 2024
- braxlet0 contributionsGorgeous Blue mountains. It's only 2 hours flying for us to Sydney, so for 3 days we went to Sydney , mainly to stay in the mountains. Darren took us on a private tour of areas we didn't see last time then he dropped us at the Hydro hotel ,old and beautiful. We did some hikes ourselves and the next day Darren explained how we can take the train back to Sydney. Was a nice option having him takes us there and come back by train. More great service by the Blue Ribbon company.Written 16 December 2024
- Y3027GLtimr0 contributionsA perfect family day out from Sydney. Our first day in Sydney the weather was so good we went to the Blue mountains on a private tour with Dave Taylor as our expert driver and guide. We got the most out of a very beautiful excursion, Dave knows all the right places to take you away from the crowds yet seeing such beaut scenery. A must do was to ride the little train and gondolas, we even avoided all the queue lines there. Loved Featherdale park to see lots of koalas and kangaroos. We opted to be dropped back to our Hyatt day, it was all magic.Written 21 November 2024
- Tom S0 contributionsA most enjoyable private tour guided by an expert. This is a professionally organised company who do everything right to make the day in the Blue mountains great. Their planning and schedule is so good we got to see all the sites in good time. All together a fantastic day and we will tell all our friends to use you on their trip.Written 23 October 2024
- M2287FDpeters0 contributionsIncredible private tour by Dave - exceeded what we expected. From the moment Dave fetched us from our Hyatt hotel we knew the day was to be good. He detailed the day to us and then we were offered any preferences we had. Along the way we made a few scenic stops and a craft store for my wife. The Grand Canyon is immense and so green, it was brilliant, along with Dave's explanations of geography, animals, birds etc...is there nothing he doesn't know ? The wildlife zoo to pat a kangaroo and to see so many koalas finished a wonderful day. It's sure much better having an local to guide you, he was brilliant and thanks a million.Written 17 October 2024
- paulbD2003KK0 contributionsMake the time in Sydney to not miss this excursion.Having never been to Australia we relied on these reviews to select a private trip of the Blue Mountains. Dave sounded pretty good when we called up, and he sure lived up to his reputation. He was friendly and attentive and a fountain of all things about Sydney and the mountains - geology, plants, animals ,the lot. We struck spring time when it all looked so colourful albeit, a bit cool at 13 degrees. Gentle walks with Dave, the beautiful Leura village, up close with koala bears and kangaroos, and a comfortable ride made our day one to be recommended.Written 4 October 2024
- O9137YWtomr0 contributionsA private journey to Blue mountains, Kangeroos , Koalas and so much more .It was a great private excursion by Dave for just us - he is so knowledgeable and skilled giving us a good historical perspective of everything ,he is engaging to answer any question. The views were clear and thrilling, the day could not have been any better.Written 2 October 2024
- U197DHjoanp0 contributionsNature at it’s best - worth paying the little extra for the private tour. This was our first ever private tour as it costs a bit more. But it was so worth it, to have the freedom of the time to ourselves, AND to have Dave as our chauffeur for the day at the Blue mountain. On the way we visited koalas and kagaroos, then it was a lovely scenic drive up the mountain and the road wasn’t even windy. Dave took us to various viewpoints and an easy 30 minute bush stroll. It was a most enjoyable day and Dave showed his true worth giv8ng us heaps of things to learn and understand. The mountains are a piece of artistry by nature.Written 25 September 2024
- grantpQ4769VQ0 contributionsGrand times with Dave and the Blue Mountain. It is worth the long trip downunder to see all Australia has to offer. Our private tour for a whole day out in tjhe Blue mountain was a highlight. Dave made it even better, not to mention having time up close with koala bears and kangeroos. Fresh mountain air, amazing blossom trees in springtime and cute villages makes an amazing day. Dave ene fetched us from our Hyatt Sydney hotel and returned us there at 5pm, we enjoyed a most comfortable ride and e taught us so many things, and even he can throw a boomerang. Is there anything he doesnt know about his unique country.. Thanks a million, Dave !Written 24 September 2024
- andreacE7182UW0 contributionsGreat Day !Dave was the perfect ambassador for Australia. So much knowledge of Sydney and the Blue mountains. We had the best day and could easily do it all again. The mountains are a most unique and diverse environment, nothing like we have in the USA.Written 19 September 2024
- O859HPtomc0 contributionsExtremely good tour. It’s the perfect day for a family to see all of the Blue mountain. We had Dave to ourselves from pick up at our Hyatt Sydney hotel, we requested 9am and wanted a bit later return at 7 pm, that was no trouble for him. You can see he enjoys his job and is an expert on everything about the mountains sites and nature. We felt so comfortable being with him, as did our two teenage boys of 16 and 18y. He escorted right thru Scenic world and along the forest boardwalk so we did not get lost. We did so much sightseeing and views it was amazing and fulfilled our life long dream of bringing our family here. Of course being spring time with all the blossom trees made it even better. We recommend Dave to all other visitors to Sydney.Written 9 September 2024

Been on other excursions on larger busses so thought would splurge and take a private tour this time. We found it well worth the extra to get the flexibility to do what we want and not wait around for other folks. You get to ask the guide all you want to know. He designed the trip around the Mountain with places we wanted plus chose a nice village for my wife and her shopping addiction. He navigated us so nicely to some most amazing looking points, such beauty of canyons. Even let us smell the different trees. We will always close a private tour in future.

Dave took us to the Blue mountain in his SUV. It was just him myself and my 14 year old daughter. He was very good keeping us both interested along the way, stopping at various places to see views, birds, plants and trees. It was a most fascinating day. The mountains were not so high but the expansive vistas are amazing. It was a very cold day so as it was a p[rivate tour he took us right back to our hotel instead of catching the ferry. A really good day out.

Dave will make your day, his anecdotes about life in Sydney during the drive out to the Mountains are so interesting. He navigates the mountains like he did hundreds of times before and takes you to some unforgettable viewing places. He loves his job and that shows through all day long. We loved our tour into the Blue mountain.

My family and I spent the day with Dave on this incredible Blue Mountains adventure. Dave himself was as marvelous as the scenery and the experiences from the world's steepest railway to feeding the kangaroos to the skyrail to a visit at Sydney Olympic Park. The private tour is so much better than one of those massive bus tours - well worth the extra expense. This is as much a must as visiting the Sydney Opera House or walking the Harbour Bridge!

Our family wanted to not be on a bus with others. Our Sheraton hotel recommended this one. They fetched us at 8am and in 90 minutes we were in Katoomba standing at the impressive 3 Sisters. The canyon is immense and blue. Our guide suggested Scenicworld rides, which cost $59 and is really a must do to see the views and forest from alternate places. Really good chats by our guide and we took the ferry back to the city. It is a top day.

Our guide was very well versed in all local things and he was able to clearly impart it all to us. The Blue mountains came to life with his descriptions and explanations. We sure fitted a lot in the day which was because we did this private option and did just things that we liked. We covered al the main attractions and stopped by a Koala and Kangaroo sanctuary. The Scenicworld option is $55 but it is something so unique we feel is a must do even though it's pricey, but we had a full hour to enjoy the rides. Definitely a tour to recommend.

So nice to do your own tour without worrying about others. We told them our interests, not too much walking, just take us around to the best lookouts and avoid crowds. That's just what Dave did and our Blue Mountain tour made our Australian holiday - the people are so nice. oh, and we saw no signs of any bushfires, we wondered what all the news reports were, it was all so green and fresh air abounds.

Our day journey in the Blue mountains was made all the better having Dave take us through. He was very receptive to our emails and organised our day to perfection.
It's private meaning you just have him for the day, ask him any questions and stop at places we chose using his advice.
We enjoyed so much the mountain vistas, the gum trees, the Scenic centre rides and having the company of Dave.

It cost this bit more for a private tour but to have such a professional as Dave for the day made it so worth it. He drove his SUV with me and my partner to Katoomba and back. It was a cold June day but the freshness is great. Saw the 3 sisters from various vantage points and took the Scenicworld optional extra. The Blue Mountains are a marvel of nature you would not want to miss seeing when visiting Sydney and meet Dave.

Sorry, but are kidding with your price calculation for this event. Price start from A$100, I wanted to booh for 5th Nov, but the price raised to A$1600 = A$400/person, but for 8 people is the price total A$1200 = A$150/person. so should I book for 8 people io 4 to get it to a resonable price. Btw Blue Ribbon offers A$139 whatever the number of people is. Thanks for your answer. Regards. Jiri.
