    Stop: 11 hours
The experience begins when a friendly guide greets you at the meeting point. You'll be part of a small group of no more than 11 travellers aboard a comfortable minibus that takes you south out of the city along the beaches of Botany Bay and through the Royal National Park. First stop is Bald Hill Lookout, a popular launch site for hang gliders and para gliders, which affords sweeping views of the Illawarra coastline and the famous Sea Cliff Bridge. After the break it's just a few minutes drive to the family-run Symbio Wildlife Park which is active in koala conservation. Here you'll find out everything you ever wanted to know about these fascinating marsupials during a private koala experience with a keeper. Snap the ultimate selfie - just you and a koala. You’ll also be able to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies and get up close to other native Australian wildlife. Next you'll meander along the Grand Pacific Drive traversing the Sea Cliff Bridge as it sweeps out over the ocean, well clear of the crumbling cliffs to which the old highway clung. You’ll continue to follow the scenic coastline to a golden beach where you’ll enjoy lunch in a café popular with locals with views out over the ocean. Bring your swimmers for a dip if the sun is out! In the afternoon you’ll head up through temperate rainforest into the Southern Highlands. An easy hike leads to viewpoints that take in the spectacular sandstone gorges and towering waterfalls of the Morton National Park. Finally, you’ll drive along country roads to a boutique winery to sample locally-produced, cool climate wine before returning to Sydney. Arrival back at Circular Quay is around 6:30pm.

Sip and Savour tour of the Southern Highlands
Jun. 2021
We thoroughly enjoyed a winery tour with friends and Steve as our driver/guide. Steve was completely professional, friendly and made sure we were all looked after the whole day. His mini bus was modern and clean and he provided an informed, good humoured commentary along the way.
We sampled many, many wines ( reds, whites and dessert wines) and chose a complimentary bottle of wine each.
Lunch was in a Berima pub and was ordered ahead of time (our choice of meal) by Steve so that we didn't have to wait too long for our food.
The day was well-planned and well executed. A great day was had by all ... laughs, beautiful scenery, nice wines, a hearty meal and we didn't need to drive home !

Hi Helen, Thanks for sharing your experience of the Sip n Savour tour in the Southern Highlands. You've given anyone that might be considering taking the tour a pretty good rundown of what to expect. So thanks for that too. There were lots of laughs - and all the other good things you mention - so it was a pleasure to host you all for the day. And to do the driving on the way home too! Cheers, Steve

Incredibly beautiful!
Nov. 2020
I've been living in Sydney for 3 years but I hadn't explored Australian beautiful nature and wildlife yet. This was the perfect tour for me and Steve is the best guide you could ever have! In just one day you can meet koalas, hand-feed kangaroos, enjoy lunch at the beach, have a walk in a National Park and admire the breathtaking view of its waterfalls. And then relax with a wine degustation. I wish I could do it every day!

Awesome Sydney day-trip
Nov. 2020
An awesome day away with wildlife, waterfalls and wine - plus a number of beaches, iconic towns and national parks to boot. Brilliantly curated by Steve who is also a wealth of knowledge on the geology, flora & natural history. A great one day away. I cannot recommend it enough!

Beautiful scenery, fun, full, diverse and informative.
Our guide Steve was professional and personable, easygoing and jovial. Imparting his knowledge of local history, flora and fauna as we navigated through different regions.
Highlights for me was winding through The Royal National Park, the Fitzroy Falls lookout and I absolutely love the Southern Highlands...wineries!
A fantastic tour for anyone seeking a unique and quality experience.

Hi Danielle, I'm delighted to hear you had "a brilliant day"! We really are very fortunate to have such beautiful natural areas so close to Sydney. And wineries too! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with other travellers. It was the first tour we have been able to operate for nearly four months so it's encouraging to hear we were able to jump straight back in and deliver a "fantastic tour". Cheers, Steve

Great day with "the other" Steve!
Feb. 2020
It was an amazing day. "The other" Steve (our driver) kept us entertained with jokes during the long ride, sharing his knowledge about the history and biology of the area. We encountered beautiful scenery, had nice lunch (with the possibility of a short dive), petted koalas and kangaroos and went for wine tasting. The group of people was great.

Oh Lazaros! Do you have to rub it in? Ok, so "the other" Steve is funnier than me and a wealth of knowledge. And he tells me you were a great group. Now I really feel like I missed out on "an amazing day"! To be serious, we really appreciate you taking the time to let other travellers know about your experience. It helps them, it helps us and as a bonus it's good karma for you for paying it forward if you used reviews to choose the tour in the first place! Thanks so much. Cheers, Steve

(Not-the-boss) Steve was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and welcoming. Other than the traffic we hit on the way home, it was an amazing day! Thanks, (not-the-boss) Steve! P.s. Actually-the-boss Steve I’m sure you’re fine too 😉

Feb. 2020 • Couples
Steve was kind enough to go ahead with our tour even when we were the only two signed up...so score! Private tour for us to a great variety of what this area has to offer! Picked us up from our hotel and spent the day giving us a great narrative of historical, cultural and natural background of the places we visited. We saw coastal highlights, a wonderful animal sanctuary, had a great lunch looking out on the ocean, drove up to the Southern Highlands, took a short hike through the subtropical rainforest to Fitzroy Falls, and ended the day with a tasting of local wines! This tour is a perfect way to spend a day..especially if you just have a day or two pre cruise!

Pam, it was a delight to take you and Larry on the tour and show you a sampling of what the Sydney surrounds have to offer. Thanks for paying it forward by sharing your experience with other travellers. I hope you both have a great time on your cruise and that you enjoy Bernie, Melbourne and New Zealand too! Cheers, Steve
