- pamelasU9947TU0 contributionsBlue Mountains Sunset TourOur group was a mixed bag of young and healthy to old and less fit. Guide Dave found ways to have us all have a wonderful day. Hiking the falls, stopping for ice cream, having a glass of whatever while we watched the sunset: all good. Plus we didn’t have to get up at o’dark hundred. And we saw kangaroos!Written 25 September 2024
- Sarah P0 contributionsBeautiful views and a lovely hikeAmazing hiking tour with a beautiful sunset to finish. Some of the hiking was strenuous but plenty of options for all fitness types. Beautiful scenery. The guide Mitch was funny, knowledgeable and made the day perfect.Written 19 April 2024
- Craig C0 contributionsWow what an amazing day. You must do this. This is an amazing trip - our guide Mitch was enthusiastic and kept us all entertained all day. Great places visited with helpful commentary from Mitch. The Blue Mountains are better than everyone say. The three sisters and amazing site. Then off to Lincoln Rock OK even for those without a good head for heights. Sunset came and went with no Sun but it did not spoil a great day. We even went looking for a kangaroo’s which Mitch found . A small group around 25 on a small but comfortable bus. A upbeat playlist on the bus kept the group entertained. Mitch ended the day with hotel drop off’s which was an unexpected bonus Brilliant day. Well worth it.Written 23 March 2024

- LandBP80 contributionsA really great hike in any weatherWe went on the absolute worst day and it was still worth it. Our guide kept trying, but the rain & dense fog made the views impossible. We walked up a waterfall in the rain, fed cockatoos and made the most of it in the beautiful forest.Written 29 January 2024
- C9653DUcatherines0 contributionsGreat ExcursionThis tour was amazing. Our driver, Asish was very informative and catered the trip to our needs. The Blue Mountains were beautiful and the visit to Scenic World was breathtaking. Riding on the railway was something we have never done before. The skyway was magnificent, the walkway through the forest was great. The visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park was much better than I expected. Seeing, touching and feeding the kangaroos and seeing all the native wildlife was amazing. Wish we had more time there, but there was so much to see and do.Written 22 January 2024
- Bas-Anneloes0 contributionsBlue Mountain sight seeing.Nice day with several viewpoints and waterfall walk. Derrick is a perfect guide with a good voice and lots of information about nature and history. The 28p bus was also fine, good air conditioning, USB charging points. This was a nice tour of the wine region nearest Sydney. It was a 2+ hour drive to get there, but the driver (Steve) did a good job of providing interesting narrative of some of Australia's history and background about the wine industry in Australia. The wineries tasting rooms were all nice (they call them Cellar doors) and the hosts all provided interesting info about the wines and their processes. Lunch at the resort was nice, with options to sit inside or out. The stop at the cheese factory was probably not needed, as it was right after lunch. All-in-all, it was a pleasant day trip for wine lovers.

It was amazing! Steve was such a funny and great guide, Hunter Valley is beautiful and the group was great too. I had a super duper great day, I can absolutely recommend it!
Only thing I'd change is offer a free water bottle on the bus, we got water at the Vineyards but an own water bottle would be nice.
Other than that, it was perfect!
Found some new wines that I will definitely order when I'm back home

What fun! Three lovely wineries with well-guided wine tastings through various types of wine produced from very knowledgeable wine makers. Appreciate these were smaller family owned wineries, not the mass produced wine you can get anywhere. Lunch was lovely as well, at a nice golf club, with several choices and, of course, wine. The cheese tasting was phenomenal—8 cheeses each more delicious than the other. There was a special stop, sort of unplanned, for those with a sweet tooth. Driver was funny, a dry sense of humor, but very knowledgeable about Sydney and the wine region. If you have the chance to take the tour, definitely go. It would have been great to get a fourth winery on the schedule, but the long 2.5 hour drive just to get there makes that impossible.

Very disappointed - we had booked this tour months ago for the two of us, got up early and made our way to the meeting point. Arrived in good time, but were told they only had one adult booked and no room on the bus for us both. Somewhere along the line our two booking turned into one. A great way to stuff up our only day in Sydney! Very, very unhappy.

Transportation to Hunter Valley is prompt and comfortable. Each seat provides more than adequate leg room and a tray table for convenient snacking. Please note, only a small drink cup fits in the drink holder.
Restroom/snack stops are included in travel time from Sydney to Hunter Valley. Although it was a lengthy ride, our driver’s quick witted sense of humor and expensive knowledge of trivia (Australian and otherwise) definitely made the time pass rather nicely.
Hunter Valley was only my second wine tasting experience at a vineyard, but the Australians love their alcohol. The tour took us to 3 vineyards. We received 7 tasting pours at Constable Vineyards, 6 at Savannah Estate and another 7 at Mount View Estate. Coincidentally, the tasting ended with a fortified dessert wine. It was the cherry on top!
The tour also includes a cheese & chocolate tasting, with a moderate, but satisfying lunch soon after at the Hunter Valley Garden Cafe.
A vital detail not included when purchasing tickets is the length of the activity. Our pick up was at 7:15am. We didn’t arrive back to drop off point until 6:00pm. In case you have a tight itinerary, keep that in mind.
Though it was a full day, who could say no to drinking wine all day with your best friend? I would definitely head back.

My wife and I took this wine tour to Hunter Valley from Sydney which proved to be quite a drive (close to 3 hrs each way) but very interesting as we had Scotty as our driver and guide and he proved to be extremely entertaining and friendly. He gave us stories, be they historical, geological or even personal almost all the way and they were very interesting, educational and funny. We visited three wineries that were all unique in their own way and then a cheese factory before heading to lunch, all of which were very good. Except for the heavy traffic on the way back due to an accident, the tour proved to be very good. Highly recommended and hope you get Scotty as your driver and guide.

Had a fantastic day out with Kelly and Wildlife Tours. Kelly was an excellent guide with great knowledge and good banter. We tried a really good selection of wines and Kelly helped us with our purchasing decisions based on our preferences so that we didn't just buy the first wine that we liked. All of the wineries we visited were excellent, lunch was delicious and I finished the day pretty drunk which is always a good sign of a quality wine tour. 10/10 would recommend.

I'm just back from my trip to Hunter Valley and all I can say is that it's a really good value of money!! We could taste sooo many different vodka, chocolate and wine (for sure :P )
Visited 3 wineries, extended my knowledge about the different wine types and had a really fancy lunch in a nice restaurant! For $ 20 extra u can choose between 6 meals (vegan & vegetarian option too) with a glass of wine served. The guide was also super nice! Can highly recommend this tour to have an awesome day around Sydney!

Overall tour was very good, the wineries were great and the lunch was very good. However not impressed with the driver, he continuously was checking his emails and texts, along with trying to watch you tube videos while driving.
