- Flyingdebbie0 contributionsThe best small group tour with Helder!A once in a lifetime experience for me, so I’m thankful I booked with the perfect tour guide, Helder at Diamond Tours for the Australian Blue Mountains! He picked me up in Sydney right at my hotel, the Marriott. He made sure he went the extra mile for each and every one of us. A smaller group of 18 made it a very personalized experience. One gentleman had a cane and Helder made sure he was taken care of. Helder was patient with all of my questions. He also gave us information on the entire drive about Australia along with a photo album for us to look at while driving. Will ALWAYS recommend Hilder and Diamond Tours to anyone visiting Sydney!Written 21 January 2024

A great day out visiting fantastic locations with a guide who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
We were picked up at our hotel and were immediately made welcome by Lloyd our guide for the day. Our group of 13 soon got to know each other and enjoyed the commentary provided by Lloyd which was both informative and witty.
The Blue Mountains were amazing with great views of the three sisters rock formation. We travelled across gorges on large cable cars and travelled the steepest railway in the world which was breathtaking, literally! Our guide Lloyd made sure that we enjoyed a stress free day by taking care of our entrance passes and keeping us on schedule.
After lunch at Leura, a quaint town, we headed to the Sydney Zoo where we were taken round by a local guide. The highlights here include close up views of the Koalas and hand feeding kangaroos. For my wife and I from the UK this was magic. The journey back to Central Quay was by ferry which we boarded at the Olympic Park, ending a journey that was so enjoyable and a day where we met new friends. Lloyd had been a perfect guide for the entire day, a massive thanks to you!!
Well worth the money.

Really enjoyed this trip, and our host 'Scotty' made it very personal and interesting. Pick-up was on time, and the journey to the Blue Mountains full of facts, information, and stories from Scotty. The scenery was spectacular, and the cable cars and cliff railway were something different. The fact that these were built upon existing artefacts from the mining heritage of the area rather than just a touristic construct added legitimacy and additional interest for me. Lunch stop at a quaint Blue Mountains town offered many options for a very reasonable meal, we used the Chinese $14 lunch special, really nice. An hour at the Zoo was pleasant, although I thought it lacked in information. My only minor quibble being the 21 seater bus being a little cramped, but there were plenty of leng stretching opportunities. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Recently joined the Diamond Tours Blue Mountain/Three Sisters/Scenic World with its "Dinosaur theme"/Sydney Zoo/Sydney Harbour ferry small group day-tour and I had a very enjoyable time. The Blue mountains region offered spectacular natural scenery, lots of photo opportunities of the Three Sisters geologic features, Scenic World's steepest railcar ride was fun, we enjoyed time at the zoo closeup with koalas and kangaroos, and our knowledgeable tour guide/driver named Helder, worked hard to provide continuous historical, cultural, touristic and interesting facts about Sydney and Australia, with his unique sense of humor, almost comedic style. Well done, Helder! For those seeking a fun, actionpacked, full-day tour outside Sydney, I highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide Scotty was excellent! Full of insights and stories that enhanced the sights and experience. He was very motivated to ensure a great day (for us, he strategized how to avoid a crush of 400 person tour group at Scenic World the same morning!). You get a lot packed into a single day on this tour so there is not a lot of down time. We travelled with a 2 year old and 5 year old — can be tricky, but a Scotty found ways to engage and accommodate our presence. both kids enjoyed the day (though a full price child ticket for a 2 year old felt a little pricey given the age and stage). No regrets about spending one of our 5 days in Sydney on this tour!

Had the best day in the Blue Mountains with our tour guide Sean! He was very friendly and funny, and had a lot of knowledge of the area. Doing the combination of the mountains first and then the zoo, we were able to beat a lot of the crowds and even had some parts of the mountain entirely to ourselves. It didn’t feel rushed even though we were on a schedule, with in my opinion plenty of time for the different places. The other travelers were on time back to the minibus all throughout the day so we were able to enjoy the different stops with the maximum amount of exploring. The zoo was also a very nice experience, focusing on the Australian area. The day ended with a beautiful ferry ride down the Parramatta river. It was mid July so bring warm clothes, especially in the morning before the temperature rises a bit.
This trip is great if you have one day to explore the area, want to get a nice overview of the blue mountains and the nicest lookout points, and enjoy having somebody telling you about the local area, the mountains, and to show you the good places. Also a great trip for solo travelers! Do you want to know why it’s really called the Blue Mountains? This trip is for you. If you want to hit a trail on your own and walk for a day, then maybe go by yourself. I do recommend this one though.
Thank you so much to Sean and Diamond Tours for a very nice day!

Rob the driver and owner of the tour company did a great job escorting our 15 person group. We visited Echo Point, Cahill Lookout (on cliff drive) and the rainforest before the crowds arrived - fantastic. Then went to Leura for a great lunch and some shopping. Then went to Sydney zoo for about 90 minutes and finished up with a ferry ride from the Olympic Park to Circular Quay. Rob was a wealth of information. The cost included everything except lunch. Fantastic time.

First, our guide Scotty made our entire trip fun and engaging throughout, hard to do for an 8 to 10 hour day of driving and site seeing. We had a great time as we explored the Blue Mountains. Scenic World provided some adventures as we did the three different experiences over, down, and back up through the mountains and jungle too. As we left the Blue Mountains we stopped in a small town for lunch before making our way to the Sydney Zoo to see koalas and other animals from around Australia and the world. We finished with a ferry ride from Olympic Park under the Harbor Bridge to Circular Quay at the Sydney Opera House. It was a great and very well planned day, we really enjoyed our time, feel that we saw a lot, and it was great to meet Scotty too.

Scotty was fun. We were a part of 20 people tour from Sydney to Blue Mountains, three very special almost vertical rides, Sydney Zoo and a return via ferry.
Scotty Edward was a delight. Funny, informative and kept our interest throughout the whole day.
Highly recommend.

Guides can help make or break a tour - and Lloyd was excellent! The weather didn't initially cooperate, so he expertly altered the itinerary to maximize our viewing opportunities and efficiency. It helps with a smaller tour where everyone is punctual and where they need to be when they need to be there (our group was good that way).
The tour was fantastic and really a must-do for anyone who is a little short on time and wants to see the mountains and feed a kangaroo!
Absolutely recommended!

In some parts of the description it says we will visit the Featherdale Wildlif park and then other parts of the description it says we will visit the Sydney Zoo. I was curious, which one is the one we will actually visit?
Written 26 February 2024
We visited the Sydney zoo but from talking to our tour guide it depends on each tour guide and how many people and buses they use on a particular day.
Written 29 February 2024
Sorry for tardy response but we too opted now to have the lunch - there was plenty of options in the small town we stopped at
