About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- kellord20120 contributionsBlue Mountain tourOur tour guide, Helder, did an excellent job of making the most of a rainy, misty day. His timing was excellent for openings in the clouds to see Boar’s Head and the Three Sisters. He was very knowledgeable about the local history and quite capable spotting birds. Loved petting the koala bear at Calmsley Hill. The kangaroos and wallabies were pretty amazing. Lunch was delicious. I would highly recommend this tour.Written 11 March 2025
- Richard N0 contributionsFabulous Day in the Blue MountainsHad a fantastic day out in the Blue Mountains with Karyn and around a dozen guests. Pick up at the hotel was bang on time, and everything promises was delivered despite traffic challenges! Karyn is extremely knowledgeable, not only about the Sydney area and the sites we saw but on seemingly most subjects that she was thrown questions about. We had some spectacular stopping points and enjoyed a lovely 2 course lunch at the Hydro Hotel along the way. A fabulous day In good company. We learnt a lot, and thats the point of taking these tours. Thank Karyn.Written 5 March 2025
- Rita D0 contributionsGreat day trip to the Blue Mountains area. There were 5 people in our group and we had an awesome day. We loved seeing the 3 Sisters, driving through the small towns and visiting the Botanical Gardens in the Blue Mountains area. Lunch at the boiler room was not only delicious but the view was breathtaking. Our tour guide, Karen, was probably one of the most knowledgeable tour guides I have ever had. She also had a great sense of humor and she made sure that we all had a great experience today.Written 5 March 2025
- mommajopat0 contributionsBlue Mountains tour with fantastic guide KarynWe had a fantastic day with our awesome guide Karyn. We’ve been on a lot of tours in a lot of places and Karyn is one of the best guides we’ve ever experienced. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Australia and shared lots of other interesting information about Sydney, the Blue Mountains, etc. She was also a great communicator about where we were going, what we would see so we always knew what to expect. The scenery and look outs were beautiful, starting the day off with a visit to the farm was really nice. Our lunch stop was delicious. Highly recommend!Written 4 March 2025

- 802frankp0 contributionsA wonderful whole day 'Hike the World' Heritage Tour from Sydney to the Blue MountainsMy wife, Sarah, & I thoroughly enjoyed this small group (6 people) whole day tour from Sydney to the Blue Mountains. The day was very well organised and structured with a variety of lovely elements / stops. A particular highlight was the fantastic 'Clifftop Walk' in the Blue Mountains from the Evans Lookout to the Govett Leap Lookout. Ian was our perfect driver / guide. His commentary was very interesting without ever being intrusive and he was always patient and helpful with everyone in the group. He organised and supplied nice refreshments at suitable intervals throughout the day. It was a marvellous day. Thank you very much to Ian and AEA Luxury Tours.Written 17 February 2025
- jmdurner0 contributionsGreat Tour of Blue MountainsExcellent tour of many sites to and from the Blue Mountains with a number of stops along with the way. - paulyeo0 contributionsSuperb tour and driver! This tour was amazing in no small part due to Karyn our driver. She was not only an excellent driver but also a guide. She gave a brilliant commentary about the trip and also a very informative history on all aspects of her clearly much loved Australia. Thoroughly recommend this tour and hope you're lucky enough to have Karyn at the wheel!Written 2 February 2025
- SA K0 contributionsGreat wildlife and sightseeing tourHelder was an excellent tour guide. Great trip seeing wildlife, waterfalls, vistas, botanical gardens. Excellent lunch Visited wildlife center with Koalas, kangaroo, pheasant, wombats and many other animals highly recommend this tripWritten 1 February 2025
- conniehR6632FW0 contributionsWe had a great time on this tour!We had a fantastic day visiting the Blue Mountains! Our guide, Helder, was great at providing details and history but not putting us to sleep. Visiting the farm was fun, particularly since we could see various animals in larger fenced areas. Lunch was better than expected and the variety of options fit everyone. While the fog kept us from seeing much at the overlooks, Helder adjusted our schedule a bit to allow more time to see the birds, landscape, waterfalls and mountain area when the fog broke up a bit. Our last stop to see and take photos with the cocktoos was amazing. His 'surprise' was also a nice one. A great way to end the trip before our ride back to Sydney.Written 29 January 2025

Me and my wife Kavita took this half day tour and found it very useful to get a good insight of the city. Our tour captain Mr. Helder turned out to be an excellent guide and kept all in coach interested all time by dwelling into the history of the city and particularly gave useful information about the various sightseeing points and how they all evolved in importance. He had extensive & deep knowledge of the city and articulated very well with us all. The tour covers a lot - points like Old Sydney town, Sydney harbour, Watson's bay and the entrance of the Sydney harbour, Bondi beach and Darling Harbour among others. Worth the money I would say if the guide is good.

My wife and I were interested in learning more about the city of Sydney, some of its history, and other highlights. Graham, our tour guide today, did an excellent job in accomplishing what we wanted to learn in an entertaining manner. Highly suggest this tour for others if you’re interested in little history, as well as highlights of the city.

Matt was an excellent driver/ guide during our half day tour of Sydney.
We learned a great deal about the history of the city. We toured so many historic sights. We were quite pleased with this tour, and would recommend it to those who only have a few days in this wonderful city.

Our tour guide Giorgio (I think that was his name) never introduced us to himself, didn’t really talk about what our half day tour would include other than referencing what we “might” be doing (depending on the weather). Granted, the tour started on a day when there was torrential rain for over two hours but Giorgio didn’t seem to know much history about the places we visited, kept looking at his phone while driving, didn’t ask us if we had any questions about a place and just did not engage with us at all. Compared to other tours that I’ve been on, this one is at the bottom for us. There were four of in the group and we paid over $97.00 per person - was not well spent and I would definitely not recommend this tour.

All was fine until I tested positive for Covid 22 hours before the scheduled tour.
I immediately notified AEA Luxury Tours that even though I wasn't horribly sick, my wife and I shouldn't go on the small bus tour to protect the health of others.
AEA Luxury Tours was not helpful at all and borderline rude - their response was basically "tough luck" no refund. Went on to whine to me about how they are a family business blah, blah, blah...
I was just trying to do the right thing but they wanted no part in helping us out.
Other tour companies we had scheduled the following two days were much, much more understanding and helpful.
I guess this company is ok if you have no problems but...

Hi. This is very disappointing to see you give us a 1 star review as some kind of 'payback'?
You notified us approx 15 hours before your tour was to start. We have held your booking in good faith and stopped selling tickets on this small group tour. Our cancelation policy is a fair 24 hours before the tour and a full refund will be given. I am sorry you feel this is unfair, but I feel that we don't deserve this review at all.

After traveling the world for years through more than 200 cities, we decided to end in Sydney. The disappointment could not have been worse... It is a replica of the United States, without identity, without good food, with very poor and mediocre transportation (the worst I have seen in a city of this size), excessively expensive and meaningless, designed for cars and not for pedestrians. Frankly, what was expected to be the golden closing, ended up being the worst city we visited. You don't miss anything if you already know the USA. It's not worth the beating of a trip for so little...

Tour guide was very informative, explaining the history of buildings and the various areas in Sydney and various places within the city where we might want to spend more time. He included information on public transportation and some estimated walking distances within the city. This was a great way to quickly see a lot of the city.

G. Was a great tour guide! He offered up great tidbits and stories at just the right points. Also, curated stops with the best views and gave us a since of history and current day in Sydney. This is the perfect ride-along after a long flight to acquaint oneself with the city’s offerings.

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide Steve was fantastic. He provided entertaining info/stories and didn't bore us with dry, uninteresting, textbook facts. His tour took us to all the must see sites in and around Sydney. Very memorable.

This 3 1/2-hour tour is the perfect way to get an overview of Sydney. We enjoyed every aspect of it and it helped us to see what we wanted to explore deeper on our own. It was nice that the tour took a maximum of 17 people, so we were able to jump on and off the bus easier to get to the next destination. Driver was very experienced and really brought the city to life for us.
