- sam_jd_9600Engaging and interesting tourJohn was a fantastic guide! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He was only too happy to answer our questions and clearly takes great pride in his work educating visitors about this historic area. Highly recommend. Well worth the price!
- atraveller00200Kinda interesting but very one sided history review....We saw some of the old parts of the Dock area. We were shown old A4 photos from a folder ( quite old school) and we learnt about how the first European settlers lived and survived in the port area known as The Rocks. You won't learn much about how the indigenous population was treated by those settlers. I asked but got no information.
- tatyanak80700Not excitingWe did the tour with Dee and she did have a deep knowledge about the Rocks. However the area itself is small and there isn't a lot to see. The tour was not that engaging, you can easily go on a stroll all by yourself and get information from guide books.
- tonyQ5805YS00The RocksThe tour tokk us to places i had not been before. The tour guide,Micheal, was very friendly and informative. He made the walk engaging and interesting.I have read quite alot about the rocks and have done a self guided walk but I got much more out of the tour for the time it took.
- Larry H00Don't miss thisClaudia makes the area come alive. She knows the in's and outs of the area. Great stories about the Rocks, and the history. A fun 90 minutes.
- 736laurelj00Fabulous tour of the Rocks with Rocks Walking ToursA tour of the Rocks area with The Rocks Walking Tours with our excellent guide Anne was very informative on the history and what went on in the Rocks area in the early days. A great place to wander and enjoy.
- Skiahlc00Excellent Historic Walking TourThis tour was very interesting and our guide Anne was excellent! She was full of fun facts about the area and it's development and restoration. Highly recommend it!
- MikeDorsey00Worth Your TimeInformative tour. Walked around The Rocks. Guide provided lots of history about the oldest area of Sydney. Informative about people and buildings. Up and down, uneven places, and lots of steps. I have some walking limitations and made it with a little effort.
- C W00The Rocks Walking TourOur tour guide, Anne, provided a great overview and description of the interesting history of the area. We enjoyed hearing all the stories. She had a wealth of information!
- chestnut201400The Rocks heritage tourWe really enjoyed this walking tour on our first day in Sydney. It really helped to orientate ourselves to the Rocks district. Fascinating to hear real life , documented stories of individuals who arrived in the First fleet. With maps & illustrations, Sue illuminated the stories and allowed us a glimpse into what life must have been like.
- 890dellar00Totally RecommendOur guide Vickie was wonderful. She was well spoken, well researched and welcomed questions from us all. I learnt a lot and I am Australian.
- Jollyholiday4me00Must do!History comes alive as you walk the streets and alleys and pass through the hallways of the past. From one minute to the next the tour is filled with stories and facts of the settlers of the area. It provides great context for a visit to Sydney to appreciate the spirit that is alive in the city even now. I came back for this tour after 10 years and think its even better! Online registration was easy and the price is well worth the experience. Sofi was a wonderful guide. She set us up well for the rest of our day/visit. I highly recommend this tour for first timers to Sydney and those who may accompany visitors would love it too
- Torfamm00Great tour of the historic Rocks areaThis tour was the perfect length and gave a nice look at Australia’s colonial history. Our guide, Edith, was knowledgeable and did a terrific job.
- melissaliu052000What a great and unforgettable guide tourWhat a great and unforgettable guide tour! It was comfortable to walk through the Rocks with vivid historical stories. The guide has a sense of humor and is a very good storyteller. It’s worth to have a try!
- Sue B00Rocks Walking TourWe loved hearing the history of the rocks area & learning all about the difficulty facing the colony. Vicki was very knowledgeable & easy to hear. Great tour thank you.

We did a private walking tour of the Rocks with Michael as our guide. He was fantastic. Colourful and extremely knowledgeable. He is a wealth of information about the history of the Rocks, and it is delivered with an Australian charm which wins you over completely. The tour was for 2 hours, and they flew by, so interesting was Michael’s commentary. A must do.

The Rocks Walking Tour was a great way to learn more about the European settlement of Australia. Brian was our guide and he was a wonderful source of interesting and fun information. He led us through many of the back alleys of The Rocks and always had a memorable story to go along with the history he presented. I would love to take the again and I highly recommend it!

Third time of booking with this company for family visiting while I was living in manly short term. I attended all 3 times, so feel qualified in giving top marks. A different guide each time, but each one was very knowledgeable, informative and captivating, for us older people as well as the teenagers and young children in the group. Highly recommend this tour for visitors to Sydney, and also locals that have not done it before.

We had a wonderful tour guide who was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was amazing to see and hear so much of Sydney's history. Our guide took the time to follow up on questions we had asked, and even phoned to share some more information with us. We were just thrilled and the Rocks Walking Tour was a highlight for us. We would definitely recommend.

My wife and I took this tour last week with Sally as our guide. We were extremely happy with our choice as the tour was very informative and professionally conducted. Sally's enthusiasm was certainly evident and she is eager to share her knowledge with everyone.
The Rocks has so much history and it is well worth visiting. We are Sydney locals and it has been one of our highlights to be a tourist in our own city... we'd certainly recommend this to anyone.

Leisa was an awesome tour guide and told us stories that really brought the history of Sydney to life. Anyone can regurgitate memorized dates, but only a few can make history come alive. Leisa brought the history of Sydney to life with her fascinating stories of love, betrayal, scandal, and intrigue. It sounds like binge worthy television, and it was! She was so nice to my boys, who are in college, and pointed out the fun places for them to go back to later in the evening for a pint. We all thought she was fantastic, and I would totally do this tour again just because Leisa was so awesome!!

We were given an extremely thoughtful birthday present by our friends to do a Rocks Walking Tour last Monday, after discussing a book we've all read about early settlement in Australia "The Fatal Shore". Julie brought the book to life (historically) by taking into account our being locals and indulging our interests. It was wonderful and Julie was exceptional in her presentation, expertise and kindness. We could only give a rating of 5 stars++.

I have been visiting Sydney quite often for weekends away with my wife. We booked a walking tour of the Rocks last Saturday. Sally our tour guide bought the 1800's back to life for us, tell us about the people who lived here and what life was like for the convicts and the free settlers. Very educational, infomative and a slow pace. There is so much stuff that you just walk by in the Rocks that you don't know about until some points it out to you. Great tour. Highly recommend it.

We had a tour with Michael today. We booked online a few weeks ago then had to change the date. Michael was more than happy to be flexible and fixed things up straight away.
Checking in was easy and Michael was friendly. He had a microphone and speaker to assist with social distancing and so we could still hear him. The tour was really interesting. We went into some little nooks and crannies we may well have missed otherwise. Michael’s knowledge was very good and he tells great stories. He was able to relate his stories and anecdotes to his audience.

Hi, If I do the 1:30pm tour, do you think I will have time to make it to a Sydney Opera House tour at 3:30pm or is it cutting it too close? I know the Sydney The Rocks Guided Walking Tour is supposed to be 90 minutes and the 2 spots are only 15 minutes apart but does the tour run long usually? Thank you so much.

We had a similar situation. We went to our hotel early, dropped our bags off, then went to the tour. I would also think the tour guide would allow keeping the luggage in their office - they were super friendly!!

Hello, our guide took 2 hours maybe a little more. We did ask a lot of questions and stopped for a short break. I think it depends on the group you are with. We had a group that was very much into the history and wanted more so she kept going and we kept asking her for more. We then spent time down in the market area to explore. There is a lot to do in the area. Enjoy your time.

Definitely a question for the operator.
Thank you very much! Your answer helps a lot!
