Good trip and would recommend but be aware of the arrangements for the journey home.
Good trip with the right amount of time at the wildlife park and Leura on the way to the Blue Mountains. Coach wasn’t the best but Barry the driver was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Slightly misleading r.e. the ‘ferry cruise’ back to Sydney (although I do agree it makes sense rather than sitting in traffic). Essentially they drop you at one of the stops on the Parramatta-Circular Quay ferry line to catch that and reimburse you with cash (as you have to use cards to pay). Not a problem for us but I do think this should be a bit clearer.

Great tour with fun variety of sights
We live in Sydney but don’t have a car and wanted to go to the Blue Mtns for a day, so this was the perfect tour! We loved the inclusion of Featherdale Wildlife Park. It was a great start to the day and a nice way to break up the drive. Aaron was a great tour guide and very informative and personable. He pointed out many sights on the drive and kept us entertained all day. The only reason why 4 instead of 5 stars is that the time at Scenic World was a bit too long. We would’ve loved to spend a bit more time in Leura for lunch. Overall great tour and good value, I’d recommend it to others!

    Wonderful!
Max was a fantastic guide! He was enthusiastic, approachable and loves what he does! This trip covers so many different aspects from visiting a Wildlife Sanctuary (being able to touch koalas/kangaroos), viewing beautiful landmarks (3 Sisters, etc.), Scenic World, even visiting a chocolate factory (with free samples) and a lovely ferry cruise home! A full day of activities.

Lovely day tour to Blue Mountain
We booked Blue Mountain tour with FJ tour with Ben as our guide on the day. Ben is an excellent guide, he's joyful, share with us plenty of local life and travel tips. He also took extra care for lone travellers to ensure they also enjoyed the day. Highly recommended, thanks for making our Blue Mountain trip so pleasant!

    Phenomenal!!
This is a phenomenal trip that I would definitely recommend to anyone in NSW or heading there. Picked up from various locations, friendly and informative guide (Tony), it is a bit of a long drive so this is the perfect tour as it breaks the day up, get entry to the Featherdale wildlife park, then time in the little town of Leura (the once a year market happened to fall on the day I went so was amazing) where you can have lunch and wander the shops before heading to the famous 3 sisters, time to take some photos before heading to scenic world where you have the opportunity to enjoy the three rides before heading to the port to board the ferry back to Sydney, this was fantastic as we got to see the sunset on the boat and the iconic Sydney landmarks like the Opera house and bridge, this was another fantastic photo opportunity. All in all a fantastic day and a superb way to begin my travels in Australia. Huge thank you to the tour guide Tony (my apologies if I've got his name wrong). Would book again with this company next time I'm down under.

Overall all a really pleasant experience
It was a really lovely journey. Had a great trip to blue mountains. Our guide Tom was really helpful especially with my little toddler , after getting into bus early morning , all of sudden his stomach became upset & threw up. We initially thought to cancel trip , but Tom gave us a bit of time for a change up and he cleaned up everything. Please convey our thanks to Tom for being so patient & extremely helpful with the trip. Thanks, Sharvani

Day trip to the Blue Mountains
Tony, from FJTours was our driver and guide. A font of knowledge about Australia telling us facts as we drove to the Blue Mountains. Stopping at the wildlife park and feeding the kangaroos was a highlight. Perfect weather, stunning views and excellent value for money. Tony looked after us superbly, even making sure people got their ferry tickets and onto the correct boat for the last part of the day trip. Without hesitation, we would definitely recommend this trip.

Jed was great! Packed a lot of different things in for a very full day. Amazing views in the Blue Mountains. Best part was the quieter lookout that we were shown.

To be honest, we were a little disappointed in the FJ Tours trip to Blue Mountains. It took quite a while to collect all the clients in Sydney and then we visited Featherdale Wildlife Park, which we didn't enjoy much. Featherdale is mostly a zoo with old small cages and lots of encouragement to visitors to feed and pet the animals, which is generally not a healthy practice for the animals. We then stopped in Leura for lunch (a nice enough little town) and it was not until after lunch that we actually arrived in the Blue Mountains National Park. The tour included rides at Scenic World, but our guide (Ned) failed to give us our wrist-band tickets so we had to stand around for more than 15 minutes while his FJ colleague (who happened to be leading a tour about the same time) helped contact him and get him to bring out tickets. This meant that we lost time that we could have been enjoying the cable car and train rides or hiking in the park. Overall, it seemed the tour included too many things we were not really interested in, was poorly led by the FJ guide, and was quite expensive for what was provided.

The best part of our experience was Barry our bus driver who was full of knowledge and kept us entertained on our journey to the Blue Mountains.

FJ Tours travel whatever the weather, we learnt our lesson as we had the most awful day as we could not see further than our noses. So our lesson is and our advise is to not prebook. Check the weather in advance make sure its a clear day otherwise it a total waste of time and money. So disappointed we did not see a thing. I really think tour operators should not run when the weather is this bad.

The other problem we had was when we completed the final part of the tour which was the ferry trip from Olympic Park down the Parramatta to Circular Quay we were just dropped off along with three or four other bus loads of people and left to fend for ourselves to catch the ferry. All the ferries were full and we were there for over an hour waiting for a ferry back. Fortunate the weather was kind to us. We ended up in Barangaroo as all the Circular Quay ferries were full. To improve this the guide should stay with his party to ensure they all get on the ferry safely to Circular Quay as we noticed several people catching Ubers.

Also, the journey to Ferndale Wildlife Centre was a bit of a waste as this time could have been better spent exploring the Blue Mountains and making it less of a rush as we felt it was all a bit rushed on the day.

Our guide, Ben, was friendly and talkative throughout the tour. He was very knowledgeable and had a lot of information about the blue mountains and also was keen to tell us about other things of interest as we passed. The bus was clean and it had good air con.
One thing that was frustrating, (obviously Ben cannot control) was the lack of time keeping from other passengers, this is frustrating when you have limited time at an area.
The Featherdale Wildlife Centre was a good first stop for a coffee and stretch of the legs. The second stop, Leura in our opinion, was definitely not needed. The area was too busy and it was difficult to get lunch, to the toilet and a quick look about within the time frame. There were plenty facilities at the blue Mountains for food if needed. We would’ve preferred to have longer at the Blue Mountains. On this day in particular, it was very busy (obviously there is nothing you as a company can do about this) and we didn’t get a chance to go down the scenic railway due to how busy the queue was and the time frame we had. So instead we went up the railway, which was still an amazing experience but the reason I booked the tour was to go down. This would’ve been feasible if we had longer at Scenic World. Just a note for other passengers - you need to pay for the ferry home, but this is reimbursed with cash from the guide, although you cannot use this for the ferry as they are cashless. Overall, this was a lovely day and Ben was happy to stop at lookouts to give us time for pictures and was also very happy to take pictures for us. More time at the Blue Mountains would’ve been better but we are still happy with how the day went.

We loved our day trip to the Blue Mountains with Tom and Ben. They were friendly and organized. Featherdale was an awesome experience to interact with the animals. The scenery at the Blue Mountains was amazing and ferry ride back to the city was breathtaking at sunset. We highly recommend this tour.

Aaron was an A+ excellent guide and really elevated the whole tour experience into a highlight of our trip! He was personable, knowledgeable in terms of history, architecture, culture, and shared some fascinating aboriginal folklore as well as personal anecdotes, and kept things light with his sense of humor throughout the day. He really took the time to get to know each of us, and make sure everyone was having a good time and was taken care of getting around and back to their hotels with the ferry at the end of the day. He's a keeper for sure!

The itinerary was great, with a convenient pickup stop near our hotel, a comfy ride up to Featherdale Wildlife Sanctuary where we could meet some animals, get a nice lunch at Leura Village, explore the area and take the rides at Scenic World, and have a nice nighttime ferry ride back to Circular Quay.

Fyi if you want to take a picture with a Koala at Featherdale, go straight there first, otherwise you may not have enough time to get back to the bus if the Koala picture line gets long.

The tour was very rushed on time. We took longer on the bus than enjoying the places on the itinerary. Additionally, the tour guide wanted to express a very funny attitude but he spent more time talking about his personal anecdotes than giving complete information about the places on the tour. towards me he had a bit of a racist attitude. In conclusion, the places we visit are spectacular, but I suggest improving the organization a lot so that tourists have enough time to get to know the places and hire more serious, friendly and trained guides.

There is travel involved getting from location to location, as you can appreciate, we can not click our fingers or teleport to the locations. Our tour highlights the main locations of the Blue Mountains area. It is unfortunate that my organisation did not meet your expectations or standards and that you did not like the sense of humour of the guide. I wish you safe and happy travels.

We just returned from a wonderful day trip to the Blue Mountains with Scenic World with F J Tours. Our driver/guide was Barry who was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He not only commented on the sights we were seeing but gave us glimpses into Australian life - the communities we were driving through, the educational system, the cost of real estate, sports teams. He has excellent communications skills and was adept at giving everyone on the bus an overview of the day, the timeline, and tips on how to best maximize our time at each of the sights.

Prior to the trip we had debated about whether or not to go to Scenic World. We are so glad we did! It is a beautiful immersion into Australian vegetation and wildlife, along a boardwalk with signs pointing out aspects of nature that we otherwise would not have noticed.

Another highlight was the ferry ride back to Circular Quay and sailing under the Harbor Bridge.

It was an excellent day - and I highly recommend Barry and FJ Tours.

A must do trip if you like scenic beauty. The trip was well organized and Tom our Driver+Guide was very informative and humorous with a knack to captivate your attention whenever he spoke. He even accepted and appreciated if you joked right back. It turned out that His recommendations wrt Lunch & coffee were also worth following.
The views ofcourse were breathtaking as were the 3 rides and everything went clockwork as we had a good group who were well disciplined enough to come back to the bus at the time instructed by the driver. All in all a very gratifying trip.

If you have a day to spare and would like to explore outside of the city, we would definitely recommend this day trip. Tony, our driver with F&J Tours was entertaining, funny, and informative and shared his love of Australia, it’s history and music. The Blue Mountains at Katoomba are spectacular! The cable car rides and steep train give amazing views as you cross then descend into the beautiful canyon. Add to this the visit to Featherdale wildlife park and the cruise back into Circular Quay and it’s excellent value. Well worth it!

Enjoyed the day. Experienced most of the tourist spots around the 3 sisters as well as rides on the various cable cars. Knowledgable and friendly driver.
What we didn’t like was that at the end of the day we were ‘dumped’ at the public ferry back to Sydney. Several tours were also there trying to get on the ferry, it was very busy and the ferry that arrived was already nearly full. We were very lucky to get on. Otherwise it would have meant another 15+ minute wait in a cold wind, in the dark. Even the the ferry was advising people to get the bus as the ferries were all full! Our tour guide had gone by then but other tour groups at least had their driver with them. Not a great end to a full day.
