Sydney Guided Walking Tour
USD 42.73
Overview
See Sydney’s most iconic sights on a 2-hour walking tour from Circular Quay. Take in the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Rocks and Hyde Park as you trace a route along the Tank Stream, the source of fresh water for aboriginal peoples and Australia’s first British settlement. Your informative guide shares fascinating details about the city’s past and present during your 2-hour tour, which is limited to a small group of up to 12 people — the perfect introduction to Sydney.
What to Expect
After meeting your guide at Circular Quay, your tour roughly follows the historic path of the Tank Stream, represented by public artworks and a line of blue paint that meanders through central Sydney. British colonists chose Sydney Cove for settlement due to the fresh water provided by the Tank Stream, making it an integral part of the city. Your guide brings the city’s past to life during a walking tour that covers approximately 1.5 miles (2 km) at an easy pace with frequent stops.

Explore the Rocks district where the New South Wales colony was founded and enjoy a fresh perspective on iconic landmarks including Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then see the Conservatorium of Music, where recent renovations revealed an 18th–century cistern, bakery and other artifacts. Continue past the Mint, an elegant building that is the oldest public building in Sydney’s CBD and was originally a convict hospital. Your tour ends in Hyde Park, the first public park in Australia. From there, you can sightsee on your own, equipped with helpful tips from your guide after a deeper understanding of the city.
