      Informative and enjoyable
Such a knowledgeable tour guide and enthusiastic and friendly crew! It was a treat to have views of the Bridge and Opera House from a different perspective but the history and stories of the island made it special for me. Lunch was lovely as well!

      So Relaxing!
This was the most relaxing and enjoyable afternoon! The ship motors out but then at the turn around point, she unfurls her top sails and we meandered back. Would tell others to do the same

      Excellent afternoon on the harbour
Great service, nice food, comfortable vessel, nice commentary (yet sometimes hard to hear as no microphone). Very relaxing.

      Sydney Tall Ship Harbour Sail
Most enjoyable experience aboard the Southern Swan. Weather was perfect for an afternoon sail. The crew were very attentive passing tasty light snacks of baked spinach & cream cheese puff pastries and sausage skewers. Several passengers climbed the mast. Would go again if we had more time.

      Nostalgic experience
aided by perfect weather, the cruise was a most enjoyable time spent 'floating' along what i consider the prettiest harbour in the world. The ability to watch a crew enable the 100 year old workings of a sailing ship was great as we sailed peacefully along. lovely hosts, always informed of goings on and let us sit back and enjoy. I have done many a cruise in the harbour, but the tall ship is one to have at the top of a list of things to do.

Good value and an informative trip
A great trip around the bay, informative commentary and a different perspective of the harbour. Well worth paying the extra $30Aus to climb up the rigging.

      Book it without doubts!
Absolutely fantastic experience, highly recommend - crew is amazing, all stories, interesting facts, you can explore the ship- masterpiece, talk with Captain, I accomplished my childhood dream to climb a mast- mind blowing. Also you can enjoy complimentary snacks (simple, but very tasty ) and drinks for extra fee.

A Great Trip Back in Time
This was a thoroughly enjoyable and informative cruise around the Harbour. It was great to see the sails up and to feel that experience of the tall ship sailing. The crew were great, we exchanged stories and nautical knowledge with "Jim Lad", the crew member who briefed us "sailors". I'd recommend this to anyone with an interest in the old sailing ships.

Fun cruise on the tall ship with excursion on Goat Island
A very relaxing and enjoyable trip. The guided walk on Goat island was very interesting. Our guide was very pleasant and informative. Great cruising the harbour with lunch and champagne. Would probably of liked a bit less time on the island and a bit longer on the ship. Overall great day out 😎

      Not quite as expected
Felt at ease with the Captain and the mast climber who was leaving the following day to travel. We fortunately had a fairly mild day on the water as we were on the smallest of their three ships so it could have been a different experience. We were told that the early afternoon can be the choppiest part of the day out in the bay. Our only complaint was the narrater told us where to sit and was speaking to all of us as we started off but stayed up by the “bar area” most of the trip so we never did hear any history of the Bay Area. It was a little to unstable for us to stand without something to hold onto to get closer. The masts were only up for awhile which made a quiet part of the trip. Other than the mast climber and Captain the crew seemed a little disorganized with the whole operation of rope tying and when to do what. The Captain had to repeat his commands a few times as the team sorted out the ship returning. The dingy was under inflated and holding water. Being boaters ourselves this did not install confidence. Friendly staff and think it was overpriced for the trip.

      Beautiful boat friendly staff
We were very excited to have the sales down as they said but they only lowered a small one. They sold too many mast climbing and couldn’t bring down the sales which was very disappointing. We also didn’t learn anything about the harbor or history which we expected. The nibbles were good and the staff friendly.

Sydney Harbour Tall Ship Afternoon Discovery Cruise
Thank you very much, I enjoyed my afternoon discovery cruise on Soren Larsen, which is a beautiful ship. The commentating host was excellent and very knowledgeable, enabling guests to learn a lot about the ship and harbour. The captain was also very kind in allowing us to have a short go at steering.

I booked their Sydney Harbor Tall Ship Twilight Dinner Cruise for my daughter and her family. The cost was $225. The scheduled date was Feb. 18, 2023. On that date, I received an email saying that the trip was cancelled "due to technical issues." They provided a telephone number. Yet, despite repeated calls and emails, neither my daughter nor I have been able to receive a return call to schedule a new booking. In short, we have been cheated $225 for a service never rendered.

The dinner cruise advertised sailing for 2 hours around Sydney harbor. They used an engine with no sailes, which was fine if all the sales were at least open to pretend the boat was sailing. Once we were out where we could no longer see the opera house, the engines were turned off, and the boat stayed in 1 spot for over an hour. Not what we expected. I gave the trip only 3 stars because I thought we would be sailing around for the full 2 hours. I think they stopped the boat so people could climb the mast, for an extra charge, while the ship us not moving. I paid for a 2 hour harbor cruise. It's a little expensive for less than an hour. The food was tasty, but not enough. It was great to be out on the water with a beautiful sunset. The crew was very friendly.

Hi there! Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it. We may or may not use the sails depending on the wind on the day. During the colder months, our Twilight Dinner is 1.5 hours. Hopefully, you can join us again and have a better experience. Thank you!

Unfortunately this is a poorly run dinner cruise, as the tall ship has so much potential! First of all it is not a “Dinner Cruise” it’s a paper plate buffet!! Also, if you’re towards the back of the line for the buffet they may run out of the offered choices. We were towards the end and they ran out of the salad and started rationing the main entree selection…. When you pay for a “Dinner Cruise” your expectation is that you’re having a nice dinner and that you will leave satiated, unfortunately that did not happen. Either have dinner before the cruise or plan on stopping by the quickie mart before heading home. If you just want a boat ride around the harbor consider a less expensive option!

Our dinner cruise yesterday was thoroughly enjoyable. The crew were very entertaining and informative, the food was good and tasty. Pack a jacket/jumper as it is a little chilly on the water but the crew do have blankets if needed.
Would definitely do another tall ships cruise, it was a lovely experience being on the water on such an historical ship.

Staff very nice & friendly & it was a cool boat but definitely not worth the $238 we spent.
Booking a dinner cruise we had a very different experience in mind. We got served a small curry on a paper plate with disposable cutlery and a small brownie at the end. No entree. Seating was wherever you could find it on the boat. We got the drinks package but wasn’t really conducive to enjoying with your moneys worth - plastic disposable wine glass walking up on a moving boat. More a backpacker vibe .

Our family did the evening dinner cruise and it was wonderful. No better way to see the harbour and the sites of the city. Especially at sunset. The kids climbed the mast, took the helm and helped set the sails. Our hosts were full of historical information of things we saw on the tour and the crew were very friendly and informative about the ship and her history. Lovely people and good value. Highly recommend. Keep up the good work Sydney Harbour Tall Ship. Cheers.

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement!
This evening that held such high expectations for me and my 5 friends was an unmitigated disaster.
There was no signage at the wharf, no one but security to talk to, and no idea until 6.30 that we had to divide into two groups and one group went off on their wonderful experience while we were told our ship would be another half an hour.
By 7pm we were given the news our ship had broken down and would not be going out in the harbour.
Our choices were, take a credit to be taken within a year or go aboard eat, drink and be entertained and see the fireworks from the ship.
We were from interstate, not likely to be back in Sydney for fireworks within a year, and because we were promised we would see the fireworks from our position we chose to stay and get a partial credit.
By 7.30 we were allowed on the ship.
We heard no entertainment at our end of the ship. There were no seats, we perched where we could and tried to balance our plates of food with drink in hand and when the fireworks started we were made to go to the other end of the boat away from the fireworks under a canvas awning because it was too dangerous to be out in the open.
We were unable to get off the boat as the gangplank was not in place, all viewing spots of the fireworks were full around the harbour on shore so we stayed and saw a small window of the display.
Around 9 the gangplank was restored and we thought that the night was over. On our way back to our hotel, between buildings we realised that more elaborate fireworks were happening and we had no way of seeing them.
I do not consider this experience worthy of only a partial refund as I am sure you would agree that our whole night was ruined on a night when we had no alternative but to accept what was ‘offered’ at such late notice.
Hoping to hear a positive resolution to our complaint, on behalf of six of us,

The crew were very friendly and helpful. The 101 year old timber ship was ingrained with character and it was a pleasure to be a passenger. It's no luxury cruiser but it's comfortable and well maintained and I enjoyed having a look around. A handful of passengers booked to climb the mast and all but one reached the crows nest. It was safe as they wore a harness but naturally the ropes ladder was wobbly in synchrony with their legs. The food was delicious and ample for me. Note the potato salad had almonds in it so anyone with nut allergy, such as my daughter, be aware. We were blessed with great weather and Sydney Harbour looked superb.

A fantastic experience on this 100 year old ship. We climbed the mast and then enjoyed wines as an amazing sunset unfolded before our eyes highlighting the harbour bridge and cityscape in it's glow.
    I enjoyed it immensely.

The experience of the bot started very well; it was easy to check in; James the storyteller was fun and responsive, and the captain was lovely. Even, some People had fun climbing the mast to enjoy the views. However, If this is a “dinner cruise”, we were expecting average to good food, but the food served was at most mediocre - we ended up going for dinner afterwards.
