About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- valencia19580 contributionsA great start in SydneyPaul did a great job of showing us the city. We enjoyed the tour and there was so much to see. Sydney is an enormous city with a lot of history and historical sites. Paul was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This is great start to see the city and decide what you would explore further.Written 4 February 2025
- fireandrain0 contributionsDon't Miss ThisAn excellent paced that was thorough and enjoyable all around Sydney. A great way to start your Sydney holiday! Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.Written 3 February 2025
- paulyeo0 contributionsSuperb tour and driver! This tour was amazing in no small part due to Karyn our driver. She was not only an excellent driver but also a guide. She gave a brilliant commentary about the trip and also a very informative history on all aspects of her clearly much loved Australia. Thoroughly recommend this tour and hope you're lucky enough to have Karyn at the wheel!Written 2 February 2025
- SA K0 contributionsGreat wildlife and sightseeing tourHelder was an excellent tour guide. Great trip seeing wildlife, waterfalls, vistas, botanical gardens. - conniehR6632FW0 contributionsWe had a great time on this tour!We had a fantastic day visiting the Blue Mountains! Our guide, Helder, was great at providing details and history but not putting us to sleep. Visiting the farm was fun, particularly since we could see various animals in larger fenced areas. Lunch was better than expected and the variety of options fit everyone. While the fog kept us from seeing much at the overlooks, Helder adjusted our schedule a bit to allow more time to see the birds, landscape, waterfalls and mountain area when the fog broke up a bit. Our last stop to see and take photos with the cocktoos was amazing. His 'surprise' was also a nice one. A great way to end the trip before our ride back to Sydney.Written 29 January 2025

- U5261ZVgaill0 contributionsBlue mountains all day tourHelder was an amazing tour guide. He rerouted the tour to get the best views, due to the rain and fog. We were able to see all the views, the three sisters were breathtaking. Even though the day was dreary, it was a fantabulous day.Written 22 January 2025
- barbarapT9397KF0 contributionsGreat timeHelder did a phenomenal job. He was great with telling us a lot of stories about where we going as well as being very humorous. He also adjusted things so we could work around the weather and clouds that kept us from seeing the falls in the early morning. After a bit of shopping we circled back to see the magnificent views. He was very conscious to make sure we all knew where to find the coach. Over all a great job !!!Written 22 January 2025

- Anders H0 contributionsGreat panoramic tour of Sydney with SeviAEA took our party of four on a great compressed tour of Sydney, with focus on must-see city areas and structures, but also reaching out to Bondi Beach. Our guide Sevi was knowledgeable, personable and generous with her time. She shared her wealth of experience with great professionalism and charm. Altogether, a well-spent half day that made us want to come back soon.Written 15 January 2025

All three AEA Luxury Tours were excellent. Small groups, comfortable vehciles knowledgeable, personable and professional guides who aimed to inform. The Private wine tour wow... Great boutique winery's, good food, and a couple additional stops (Cheese and Chocolate). Very impressive. AEA was intune with our interests and bent over backwards to answer questions and make sure we got the most out of the tour.

We had a wonderful day with Nigel. He was clever, a great conversationalist and took us to wonderful wineries that were off the beaten path. He knew about some very unique wineries and was acquainted with most of the people doing our tasting so that we got special treatment most places we went. He was a good driver, gave some interesting background. I would recommend this tour, but especially if you can request Nigel.

Firstly I want to say this was a small group tour (6 in total) and not a private tour but this option did not come up. The rest of the group were a family from Nebraska and were great company throughout.
Our driver Steve had the usual typical Aussie humour and obviously very knowledgeable about Australia. His narration throughout was great but he also had the knack of knowing when to keep quiet so we could relax. He drove quite fast but was very safe.
We were picked up direct from the hotel and set off to Hunter Valley. About 1.5 hours into the journey we stopped for a refreshments.
Our first stop was at the Mount View Estate Winery followed by Broken Back Vineyard and finally stopped at the Tulloch Winery. At each winery you get a great tasting of some very good wines that you would not normally see in a shop (I think they mainly sell to restaurants). At the second stop we also had lunch which was amazing. Fine dining at it's best with a glass of quality wine. The lunch consisted one of each dish: snapper fish, duck and beef with a salad and also dessert. The lunch was simply superb.
Obviously all the wineries have rivalry between each other in a good natured way. You are able to buy as many bottles as you wish all at different prices or have it shipped back home at a cost. The great thing is you taste different wines from the cheaper end (not supermarket cheap) to the expensive end and you then realise why some wines are more expensive than others. The difference in quality and taste is simply worlds apart. All the wines we tasted were of great quality. At our final stop (Tulloch) they paired wines to different chocolates. Not something any of us had tried before but was nevertheless a great experience.
This was a great day out and I would definitely recommend this as an option for a tour from Sydney.
