          Magical experience
We were picked up by Bob and joined our small group tour. The drive out of the city was welcome to see the stunning countryside. We drove up to the Deep space station before entering the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. We had perfect weather although initially a little too hot for our furry friends. We saw plenty of kangaroos later eating the grass in the shade. Where we sat nearby .We visited the koala sanctuary and was able to see them in their natural surroundings enjoying a lovely snooze. We also saw wallaby and various species of birds with such colourful feathers. A truly magical experience.

          Flower lovers delight
We parked and walked. It was hot and there was a fair bit of construction in the area, but it was enjoyable. We also took the opportunity to walk over the bridge to the National Gallery.

          An excellent tour
The trip is amazing. The tour guide was incredible, very knowledgable and full of really interesting stories. As with any trip into nature, it will always be a bit hit and miss as to what the animals are up to, but the guide was definitely an expert and maximised our chances of seeing the cute creatures in their home environments. Genuinely enjoyed every minute of the trip and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to see some amazing places in Canberra.

          Tour cancelled same day
I was looking forward this tour, and I booked it well in advance (booked in April for a September tour) only to have the company cancel the day before as I was en route to Canberra. I understand that things happen, but I had even messaged the company a few days beforehand to confirm pick up details. I booked via Get Your Guide, and received a message that my tour was cancelled on Wednesday night ahead of a Friday tour. I sent multiple emails and messages to the company, and tried calling as well, to confirm since GYG still showed my booking as active. They did not respond or message me back. I only received a reply the morning of, after I had a representative from GYG contact them, and the message was short: “yes, this tour was cancelled reluctantly”. Like another reviewer, I planned my stay in Canberra around this tour, and it was the only tour of Tidbinbilla Reserve that I could find. Overall, I am disappointed by their lack of professionalism. They have no business listing on tour sites like GetYourGuide, Viator, TripAdvisor if they don’t have the resources to respond to customer messages or emails.

          They simply didnt show up
I planed my stay in canberra months before because of the wildlife tour offered by the company. I even received a confirmation the day before. I waited for 40min at the Pick up place and nobody came. I called them but they did not answer. I sent messages with the viators platform from where i booked it, and they also did not answer. They only answered when i asked viator support for help, saying they cancelei the tour without even telling me. They refunded the cost of the tour, but what about the 2 nights at the hotel i booked only because of this tour? What about the time i invested on this that i could enjoy many other tours? They even made me wait an hour for them because they didnt even tell me it was cancelled. An unbelievable lack of professionalism resulting on losing money and time, not to say making me wait for them like an idiot. I recommend everyone to run away from them.

Trip to see the quintessential Canberra wildlife
I can see why this tour is frequently sold out. It was EXCELLENT! Especially appreciated the stop at NASA site and guides’ thorough knowledge of all things Canberra. A perfect way to start a visit to this city. Lovely outing.

          Terrible customer service
We had this tour booked as visitors from the UK. We waited to be collected from the hotel as arranged, and no one came to collect us. We waited for over half an hour. Attempted to contact the tour company no response. I have since sent emails, attempted to phone and contact them on their website for a refund. I’ve had no contact back. We’ve missed out on a lot of money. I don’t know if this is a scam or just terrible customer service. Don’t bother booking.

Great afternoon, we got what we wanted
We had a great afternoon with an experienced, helpful, and well informed guide. We got to see lots of kangaroos, three semi-wild koalas and plenty of birds. We also spotted wallabies and a bandicoot.

          Great expectations, disappointing experience
The guide was very personable and patient. The coach was adequate, but not the most comfortable and spacious. The ride was long and seemed to take longer than it did because of the lack of information provided by the guide. He said a few things about Canberra, but it was a wildlife tour, not a Canberra tour. He provided very little information about the animals we were trying to observe. We expected information about life cycle, habitat, food, reproduction, and how they behave during each season. We received none of that. He merely pointed out kangaroos in a field and in a park, and koalas in an enclosure. We expected something more than a ride to and through the national park. We could have hired a car, driven there and seen exactly the same animals and birds on our own without a "guide."

Booked this tour for 27th May as we considered the itinerary would give us a great overview of our Capital City and its many attractions. We were not disappointed. Collected from our hotel at the appointed time and then enjoyed an enjoyable eight hours approx. while our erstwhile driver/guide, Neil, regaled us with tales of Canberra from foundation to present day. Certainly knows his history and many anecdotes that make for an enjoyable and informative tour. Many highlights including visits to Old and New Parliament Houses and concluding with a visit to the War Memorial and the solemn Last Post Ceremony. It was a special day.

To get to know Canberra in one day with a perfectly designed tour, Canberra Guided Tours is the right choice. It was worth spending a little more to get to know the city and its surroundings with Neil, an experienced and knowledgeable guide, in a small, comfortable bus. Neil's knowledge of Australia and Canberra in particular was profound and he conveyed it in an interesting and understandable way. The tour covered everything that is important and worth seeing in Canberra. From the Mount Ainslie Lookout we looked out over the whole city, were able to take wonderful photos and Neil explained to us the history of how the city came into being. We visited the government district, admired the most beautiful of the many embassies, saw the old and new parliament from the outside and inside and finally the very impressive War Memorial. Neil was always ready to arrange a photo stop if desired and also answered all questions and requests. We can only give him the highest praise.

An exceptional tour made all the more interesting with Neil as our guide. As first time visitors to Canberra, it was a pleasure to have Neil who had such a detailed knowledge of the city, its history and its major institutions. Each stop was informative and gave an excellent overview of the place and its purpose. Highly recommend. Thank you Neil

During our recent trip to Canberra, we decided to explore the city. Usually, I prefer to do a self-tour, but this time, I decided to take a city tour and used Canberra Guided Tours services. Our local expert was Ian, and he was warm, friendly, welcoming and a good human being who navigated the group with ease and took us to some of the must-see places in the city, which we would not have done if we were to do it all by ourselves.
I highly recommend Canberra Guided Tours's services if you want to explore Canberra City.

This day tour of Canberra was absolutely first class it literally covered all points of interest in Canberra. For those who have not been to the Capital with limited time this is a must do tour. It includes the War Memorial both Old and New Parliament Houses entry . A drive around Duntroon Military College precinct . Passing by the Embassies, Regatta Point. Mt Ainsley and much more. Our driver and guide was Simon who was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent driver who appears to love what he is doing. This tour is an absolute must if you want a quick insight to Canberra Highly recommend

We really enjoyed this full day tour - it was excellent.
Pick up/drop off at hotel went smoothly with reminder at hotel reception of our pick up time.
We saw all the tour locations including the National Arboretum at a leisurely pace that never was rushed.
Our tour guide/driver was absolutely brilliant telling us interesting facts about things we passed on the tour as well as guiding us through the tourist spots and answering questions. And we had a lunch stop inside the Parliament building!
We thoroughly recommend this tour if you want to know about Canberra and see the sights.

This was an amazing day tour. Bob our guide was absolutely brilliant! We learnt so much about how Canberra was designed, we visited the old parliament, new parliament, military academy, arboretum etc. Bob imparted his knowledge so well, we had accurate, funny & quirky information on past Prime Ministers. I recommend this small group tour as it was relaxed, good fun & so very interesting!

This tour was exactly what we were looking for. Touring Australia from overseas we didn’t want to not see and learn about this unique Capital city but our time in country is limited. Our driver / guide Neil is extremely knowledgeable about the City and the inner workings of the Australian government. The day was both enjoyable and educational. The tour was a small group tour in a comfortable mini-bus. Whether you have one day or one week, I cannot think of a better way than this tour to get a solid introduction to Canberra.

Wonderful full day tour which we would definitely recommend.
Neil was a great guide and we managed to see so much and learn so much during our tour.
He catered to everyone on the tour and engaged with young people to make it interesting for them. It was great to see Old Parliament House through their eyes and with Neil's commentary.
With the approval of everyone on the tour we amended our timetable so we could sit it on Question Time at Parliament House.
At no time did we feel rushed or hurried even though it was a comprehensive tour.
The War Memorial was a great way to finish the day. Hotel pickup was an added bonus.

Our guide, Neil, gave us a great introduction to the capital city. I live in the US.,and have visited Australia before, but never Canberra. We got to see the old and new Parliament Buildings, Lake Burley Griffin, the beautiful view of downtown from atop the mountain, where we made a photo stop. We also had a lunch break at the old Parliament building. Our tour ended with the very impressive War Memorial. We had free time there, plus got to see the last call ceremony honoring Australias veterans of all wars. In addition, they honor one veteran each day, with their family members taking part in the ceremony. I would definitely recommend this tour to a first time visitor who wants to see and learn a lot about the city in a short time. Thanks, Neil for doing such a great job!
