    Absolutely Beautiful!
We had such a great time on our private tour. We got picked up at 8am from our drive and guide Fren (sorry, I'm not sure how he spells it) he drove us 3.5hrs to Bacalae, stopping whenever needed and always offering us a beverage and checking to see if the A/C was ok. So accommodating and so sweet. His English wasn't the greatest so we didn't get to learn too much but we still really enjoyed ourselves and getting to know our tour guide. We got to make the decisions on how our itinerary went. We decided we wanted to save the best for last so we stopped at Cenote Azul and took a refreshing dive in the deep blue water, then got hungry so we ate lunch right along it. Lunch was included and sooooo good! Then we did a tour of the fort de San Felipe, then went on the boat tour where we went all around the lagoon and it's beautiful colors. Got to see where the birds nest, cenote Esmeralda, and stopped at the pirates canal where we lathered and exfoliated ourselves in the mud/sand. As we thought the tour was over there was one more activity! We went to a park which had large waterslides, beach lounges and a dock to jump off of. We stayed for a bit and enjoyed the sun and the water and decided to head back as we had a long drive home. Our tour guide, Fren (sp?) Was absolutely Perfecto! My husband was saying that, while on the road, when I was sleeping Fren made an extra effort not to wake me by making small slow movements when he would go into the dash and grab a snack to eat and eat slowly as to not make too much noise. Lol I thought that was sweet. Overall such a great experience!

    Tour Yucatan with KARMATRAILS
We spent one week touring Yucatan. The tour was organised by Karma Trails. Everything was perfect: the transfers, the guide, the hotels and the assistance before departure. Special thanks to our amazing tour guide Salvador, who made it very easy for us to love and appreciate the region and Maya heritage. He knows the best places to eat, plus he is an excellent driver! If you go for that tour, ask to have him as a guide. Monica

We had an amazing tour of Mexico City and Yucatan organised by Karma Trail. Everything was perfect from the help planning the private tour, the transfers, the guides and the assistance while in Mexico. We travelled with our parents in their mid-sixties and they loved the trip! Special thanks go to Veronica for helping planning the trip, our amazing tour guides Almarosa for Mexico City and Salvador for Yucatan, Carlos for the assistance during the trip. I would strongly recommend their services!!

Two adults and three kids spending four days in a private tour across YUCATAN with an Italian speaking guide, Salvador. It was interesting, amazing and easy to get different places and experiences. A tour that mixed culture (Coba, Chitchen Itza, Uxmal, Merida) with nature (Rio Lagartos, different Cenote) that everybody enjoyed. Car and accomodations were very comfortable. Salvador, our guide, really prepared and accomodating; a very precious help and a friendly travel companion. Thank you!

An amazing trip, which my family and I will treasure for long time. Karma trials was extremely helpful and accommodating in arranging the itinerary and accommodation based on our preferences. The trip was further improved by the fantastic and knowledgable guides that accompanied us: Almarosa in Mexico City and Salvador in Yucatán. The best time really! Thank you!

    Sal was an amazing guide
We recently had a private tour of Chichen Itza and Ek Balam Mayan ruins with Sal (Salvador Ocampo), a guide with Karma Trails. We had finished a stay on Holbox and needed transportation to these sites and our hotel in Valladolid. We wanted also wanted a private or small group tour for these sites that would fit our travel schedule. Boy, did Karma Trails deliver and how. Sal picked us up at the ferry, pleasantly chatted with us about the area then let us catch up on sleep. Once we got to Chichen Itza and Ek Balam, we discovered the depths of his knowledge about Mayan culture. He shared so many details (without being overwhelming) that brought the entire Mayan way of life alive for us. His low-key nature was perfect for us. And... we enjoyed chatting with him about the entire Yucatan Peninsula - we learned from Sal we should return for bike trails, exploring the old 'plantation' towns, and nature preserves. I've had several privately guided trips, but this was the best.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, NEVER TO WORK AGAIN WITH NO ONE ELSE! ORGANISATION: if I say it was a very poor organisation I am also being very polite, I have never tried and never participated to something less organised than this tour. NO schedule for the tour given in advance, just a broken link via email and I had to look for info online. I paid 92 Dollars to Karma Trails and I ended up being part of Easy Tours. Details of driver received only 4 days prior departure and the number I was given to contact the driver, turned out to be the emergency number to which I had the answer not to contact them for general info because that was an emergency contact. Long story short: Transfer and pick up arranged for 7.05 in the morning and the bus driver arrived at 7:25, while I was waiting I went to the toilet and when I arrived at the entrance the bus driver - who had jus arrived - also gave me a bad look because he said I was late. I had booked a tour in my own language (Italian) but the bus driver did not even speak English and he only spoke Spanish, luckily enough I speak Spanish too. The whole day we did not have a tour guide, the visit to Valladolid, to the Cenote was all done with no tour guide, and the only moment when we had a tour guide was for 45 minutes at the Chichen Itza temple. Not even a single timing for the visit and return to the hotel was given to us, and we ended up being at the hotel at 9:30 in the evening because the company saved money sending people from different hotels and different cities only onto one mini van. DRIVER: He kept being impolite to everybody and never respect any single Road Signal, neither respected any speed limits. He used mobile phone every two minutes to check his emails, check his Facebook and Instagram accounts, answering phone calls and texting, risking more than once to have an accident. He also started An argument with another driver while we were in Valladolid. FOOD: The restaurant was a classical tourist trap with very bad food, and not even a single glass of water was included in the lunch so we had to pay for all drinks we wanted. TOUR GUIDE: poor us!! The guy had to split himself in between a group of Italians, one of Spanish, and one of Brazilian tourists. He kept on switching in between a very very poor Italian and a goos Spanish, never speaking Portuguese for the Brazilian tourists. The tour had the duration of only 45 minutes and that was the time which we had the guide for. I would honestly never never never never suggest to take a tour with this agency. I’m also going to ask for the Reimbursement. Worst experience ever!!!

    Mayan Ruins and Cancun
As soon as my family and I decided we wanted to go to Mexico to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday, we contacted a few travel agencies to help us plan an itinerary. Karma Trails was the first one to reply to our inquiry and offered a reasonable price for the 9-day itinerary we had in mind. We were a little skeptical about having to send a wire transfer (currently they do not accept credit card payments upon booking), but it all worked out in the end. Our package included transportation to and from the Cancún International Airport, and sure enough our driver was already waiting for us when we landed in Mexico. We spent the first few days on a private tour with Salvador, who guided us during our visits to Ek' Balam, Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Mérida, Coba, and Tulum. Salvador seemed to be very familiar with Mayan history, and was able to provide interesting details about each ruin we visited. Salvador took us to authentic Yucatecan restaurants for lunch (my dad is now obsessed with pollo pibil), and I also appreciated how patient he was with my dad, who had tons of questions about just EVERYTHING he saw, from water tanks atop homes along the road to electrical outlets in Cancun. Salvador also helped us take great family photos atop the various Mayan pyramids we visited (can't prove we climbed them unless there's photographic evidence, right?!), packed cold bottles of water in a cooler for us, and introduced us to cucaracha shots. We spent the second half of our trip at an all-inclusive beach resort (Dreams Sands, specifically), which was also part of our package with Karma Trails. Spending five days at the beach was the perfect way to wind down after all the walking and climbing we did during our tours of Mayan ruins. My family and I are very pleased with our experience from start to finish and, more importantly, my mom had the time of her life.

    5 stars aren't enough
Karma Trails (KT) offered this fantastic 15 day tour of southern mexico starting from the capital city , passing through the Chiapas region, ending up in the Yucatan peninsula all topped with an additional week stay at a Playa del Carmen exclusive seaside resort. ( but the credit must be shared also with VAN1 tour operator of italy, in the person on Massimo Ricci who chose KT with their fluent italian speaking guides.) KT's tour was well organized and thorough. all hotels we stayed at were very confortable and met ( many were well beyond ) european standard quality levels. they ranged from modern to classical mexican style. the trip was quite lenghtly but the vehicles used by KT were modern and new always spacious, very clean and well driven. the cities, monuments and archeo sites visited were all on my personal - must see - list. KT's personnel, in particular Mr. Carlos Funez, followed us from our arrival in Mexico City till our departure from Cancun after 21 days. Mr. Carlos was always interested in our well being, safety and satisfaction rendering himself available 24/7 for any need we might have requested. but a special mention must be made of the guides KT placed at out disposal during the trip. the guide is a very fundamental aspect, not to be disregarded or taken lightly , since it may render the trip successful or not for the traveller. in all we had 5 guides ( maybe too many ?), two for one day each, two for four days and one for five day periods. one in particular excelled beyond all others ( no offense or disrespect meant here for anyone else ). Mr. Erasto Molino, whom we had the pleasure to be with from Oaxaca to Palenque was one step beyond and above all the rest. in fact, i am convinced and believe that if we would have had Mr. Erasto from the onset of the trip, it would have rendered it even more unforgettable and unique. the preparation, expertise and throuroughness shown by this person was simply startling. no trivialities but just interesting facts all along, which ranged from archeology, science, history, religion , local traditions and ending up with culinary, etc. etc. etc. he was continously querying us, all along, if we needed any further information or explanations or maybe had any questions to make. furthermore, and to be underlined, that Mr. Erasto was thoroughly fluent in italian. high praise goes to KT and Mr. Carlos for having said elements, to the caliber of Mr. Erasto as part of their team. another well prepared guide not to be forgotten was Mr. Olfo Reyes who accompanied us from Palenque to Playa del Carmen. in conclusion, i personally highly recommend - Karma Trails - for any future traveller heading to Mexico who might be looking for a very serious and a very well organized tour operator. under any aspect you look at or consider KT, they come out with truly flying colors. out trip was a really wonderful experience, always to be remenbered and which proved to be far beyond our expectations. thanks again and a big - BRAVISSIMO - to Karma Trails and its organization.

    Excellent services from Karm Trails
My boyfriend and I stayed only 8 days in Playa Del Carmen and we were very lucky to meet Ray from Karma Trails inside the Hotel Hacienda Paradise. Ray is a very kind person, who suggested a lot of places to go by ourselves and more importantly, patiently explained in Spanish and English every single tour we were interested in and also suggested others. We're pleased to have chosen 4 day tours suggested by him - Chichen Itzá, Tulum/Cobá, Xcaret and Cozumel; we simply loved all of them. These tours made our time memorable. Thank you Ray for all your help and recommendations. To anyone looking for recommendations on what to do during your stay in Playa, make sure you check their tours.

    Sian Kaan Tour
It was my last day in Playa Del Carmen and it could not have ended better . I met with the concierge Ray at the illusions hotel and he recommended this tour . He explained that I would be taken to an unspoiled undeveloped area an hour from Tulum but it would be a great experience. I explained that sometimes I get car sick so he arranged for me to sit in the front on the side of the driver and arranged a boxed lunch for me . He gave me his cell number in case I had any questions . Ray gave me excellent service and information. Now on to the tour . Following the drive through unspoiled roads we got on a boat which took us to a lagoon to see Dolphins . So amazing ! We had 5 swimming alongside our boat . So adorable! Then we moved on to an area for bird watching . Nature at its best ! But wait there was more ! On the way to the reef where we would snorkel we looked for turtles . It was a bit cloudy so the water wasn't clear so it was hard to see but our Italian guide Enza was amazing . She did not give up and promised we'd try again after snorkeling . Well it was our lucky day ! Enza found the turtle . So cute when it's head popped out of the water ! Then we headed to an area to swim where the water was clear and pristine . The color of the water was unreal . We ended the day with a nice meal in a small village and then drove back to Tulum. What a fabulous day and great experience! Perfect end to my vacation !

    Good hospitality and excellent service!
Serious and professional! Karma Trails have a wide range of activities in various categories. They have something to suit everyone. Want to give a special thanks to our Supervisor destination expert Carlos Ramirez. He gave us the best tips on where we could go out and eat at local restaurants which was both better and cheaper. He also helped us to find the activities that were best suited for us. Their deep knowledge about the destinations helps us to find the right things for just us. I can really recommend this company!

    Professional and high quality.
I booked a five day Chiapas tour with Karma trails. Having been frustrated at not being able to book through one of the UK travel companies I made contact after a web search with Karma Trails. They put together the itinerary, transfers, hotels, internal flights, guides. All was organised through email except for one call before I sent money to confirm there was a genuine person at the other end. Once in Mexico the tour exceeded expectations. The guides and drivers were very professional. The guides extremely knowledgable and nice to spend several days with. The head office where in touch via what's app during the tour to check we were happy. I left headphones at one hotel and they were helpful in getting them back to me. I would highly recommend Karma Trails. Booking directly with them cuts out the fee of the big U.K. Tour companies who would then sub contract to local Mexican firm, who I doubt could be as good as Karma Trails.
