About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 654leonarda0 contributionsnot good since this was the first time my wife and i had ever been to spain, we were so looking forward to a walkingwe were told that there would be a person who speaks English when we showed up they told me wife and I that they only peak SpanishWritten 2 October 2023
- RvMDl0 contributionsGreat option to learn about MeridaDid this tour and learned a lot about Roman history, muslim, visigoth, etc. Elena (or Ana, I may be confusing the name) was really, really a good guide. Highly recommended.Written 22 November 2021
- Jim W0 contributionsNot suitable for English speakersWe booked the three hour €30 per person Monuments tour after being told it was in both Spanish and English. We found that the time spent in Spanish was easily ten times the time spent in English and we were asked to wait and be still (rather than explore the English explanation panels) for long periods of time while the Spanish explanation proceeded. I think it was frustrating for our guide and us as her English was a little limited. We think we missed a lot even though we got to see many monuments. Really a shame.Written 21 October 2018
- donnaLowell0 contributionsGetting orientatedWe were very satisfied with the information we received from Ana. This region is beautiful! As an international visitor I must state that the only disappointment has been the TERRIBLE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM trying to get here!! Thank god the lovely people and EXCELLENT SERVICE of the people have compensated a bit. I wish them luck, hopefully things will improve so that tourists such as myself can get here!Written 24 September 2018
- joannasinbox0 contributionsMisinformationThis was both good and bad. The free city tour was so brilliant that we followed our guide, at the end of the tour, to their office. We booked a paid tour of the Roman Theater etc. (3 hours) for the next day. I was assured that the tour was in both, Spanish and English. At the start of the tour, I found out that the guide did not speak English. Despite my frequent requests to speak slowly (my Spanish is not good) she ignored them and left it to my friend and the other tour members (who felt sorry for me) to translate. I did not want to embarrass my Spanish friend so I did not walk off asking for a refund. I also felt pretty bad that I insisted on booking it. Shame. Wasted 3 hours when the time was short. Should have done it ourselves with an audio guide from the ticket office (cheaper, better). BTW, Activa brochure from our hotel also advertises this tour in Spanish and ENGLISH. This is misinformation.Written 17 July 2018
- Karlagollanes0 contributions3-hour tour, perfect for those who don't have much time to sightsee but want to see the main attractionsMy SO and I did the 3-hour tour and it was awesome. Nobody else came along, so it was just the tour guide and the two of us. She explained everything perfectly and answered to all our questions, took pictures... She advised us to buy a ticket that would cover more attractions than the ones in her tour, in case we wanted to see a bit more after our time with her was over, and she also gave us directions and tips for later on.Written 20 July 2017

Hello friends,
Our family likes to visit municipalities with grass-tourist interest, and Merida is one of them..
Within Mérida, we can find many points of interest, and one of them, if not the most important, the Roman Theatre of Mérrida, totally recommended, with lots of water and lots of shade.. and advisable to buy tickets on the website of the Consortium of Mérida, because for little money, you can enter different locations of interest..
Very cool the visit, and if you do it with a Guide, much better, I have a good memory, but I do not remember the name of the Guide, but I do remember, he had pink hair.. very Pro and very entertaining and entertaining the visit.

City with fabulous historical richness. It's worth visiting and even repeating.
The visit in August was difficult due to the high temperatures that were recorded. It will be easier to enjoy everything the city has to offer in spring or autumn.

We did a tour of the city of Mérida and another night tour with a visit to the theater and the amphitheater. Our guide, Carlos, explained to us perfectly the Roman history of the city (very summarized, obviously) in a very entertaining and very clear way. If we went back there, we would surely repeat.
Mérida is a very charming city that is worth visiting.

The city is rich in Roman history, imposing monuments. The city is mostly flat, easy to walk around. And, unwillingly, we went to the city's party week, very funny to see many places dressed in Roman dresses. A city worth visiting.

We bought tickets on site and there was no long lines, considering it was peak season. Parking is available around the area , we did walk a little from the parking going to the ruins. A must do tour when you visit Spain Extramadura Region!

As an older couple we opted for a personal tour in English. We were delighted with Paula who is very well informed, enthusiastic and gave us an in depth description of the sites we visited. We highly recommend her if she is available.

Maybe it falls a little short. Neither the house nor the circus is explained, to which you have to go on your own and without a guide. Good explanation of the guide, Alicia
