Did this tour and learned a lot about Roman history, muslim, visigoth, etc. Elena (or Ana, I may be confusing the name) was really, really a good guide. Highly recommended.

We booked the three hour €30 per person Monuments tour after being told it was in both Spanish and English. We found that the time spent in Spanish was easily ten times the time spent in English and we were asked to wait and be still (rather than explore the English explanation panels) for long periods of time while the Spanish explanation proceeded. I think it was frustrating for our guide and us as her English was a little limited. We think we missed a lot even though we got to see many monuments. Really a shame.

We were very satisfied with the information we received from Ana. This region is beautiful! As an international visitor I must state that the only disappointment has been the TERRIBLE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM trying to get here!! Thank god the lovely people and EXCELLENT SERVICE of the people have compensated a bit. I wish them luck, hopefully things will improve so that tourists such as myself can get here!

This was both good and bad. The free city tour was so brilliant that we followed our guide, at the end of the tour, to their office. We booked a paid tour of the Roman Theater etc. (3 hours) for the next day. I was assured that the tour was in both, Spanish and English. At the start of the tour, I found out that the guide did not speak English. Despite my frequent requests to speak slowly (my Spanish is not good) she ignored them and left it to my friend and the other tour members (who felt sorry for me) to translate. I did not want to embarrass my Spanish friend so I did not walk off asking for a refund. I also felt pretty bad that I insisted on booking it. Shame. Wasted 3 hours when the time was short. Should have done it ourselves with an audio guide from the ticket office (cheaper, better). BTW, Activa brochure from our hotel also advertises this tour in Spanish and ENGLISH. This is misinformation.

My SO and I did the 3-hour tour and it was awesome. Nobody else came along, so it was just the tour guide and the two of us. She explained everything perfectly and answered to all our questions, took pictures... She advised us to buy a ticket that would cover more attractions than the ones in her tour, in case we wanted to see a bit more after our time with her was over, and she also gave us directions and tips for later on.
