Overview
Swim with manta rays at night during this 2-hour outrigger canoe excursion from Keauhou. A small group of 15 or fewer fellow adventurers means a safe, intimate experience with personalized attention from your guides. Hot chocolate and cookies included after your swim.
What to Expect
Find your guide waiting at the Keauhou Bay boat ramp. Meet your fellow travelers, a small group of 15 people or fewer, and climb into the traditional Hawaiian outrigger canoe for the 5-minute paddle out into Keauhou Bay.

You'll get views of the Hawaiian sunset as you approach the 'Manta Village,' and your guide will turn on the spot lights as darkness falls. Wait peacefully until the mantas approach the boat, drawn in by their food, the plankton, which are attracted to the lights. Slip into the ocean, wearing the provided snorkel gear, to watch the rays swooping nearby, mouths open, to catch their dinner.

Stay safe between the hulls of the outrigger, your guide nearby to ensure your comfort and give each participant personalized attention. Paddle back to shore and warm up with cookies and hot chocolate topped with whipped cream.

Manta from Canoe is AMAZING!

I've been on big dive boats with lots of people before and felt like one of many tourists. THIS WAS DIFFERENT! The canoe only holds a handful of guests who paddle together to find the mantas. We felt one with the ocean, part of the...More

Great way to see mantas - without noisy motors

We had a great experience on the manta watch that left later in the evening. Really enjoyed the short paddle out and definitely did not miss the noise from motors. Saw six or seven mantas and our guides were really great. Just do this!

Bullet and Hanna were great guides. This was a perfect choice because one of us wanted in the water and one of us did not. These exquisite gentle giants cruise right in. At first you think you will swallow your snorkel, then you just enjoy...More

Up Close and Personal!

This trip on the canoe was amazing. For one thing, you are so close to the water you can actually stay in the boat and have a great experience watching the mantas without getting in. If you are prone to sea sickness I highly recommend...More
