    Don’t recommend
We paid €191 for this experience, €150 on transport and wasted a full day of our holiday as we got here and it was closed. We selected the correct day and Date and it let us pay for it even though it is anyways closed on this day. There is also nothing else to do in this area other than the glacier 3000. Awful experience and really upset us as we aren’t here for long.

    A memorable experience
I enjoyed a memorable day with my sister and my mum on top of Glacier 3000. I visited last summer, and I managed to see snow. It's really worth the visit. I particularly enjoyed crossing the bridge between the two mountain peaks.

    poor choice
A huge construction site dominates the mountain and spoils any sense of tranquility. The idea that construction = Development surely has no place in the modern world. The ski slopes are poorly designed and few in number. All blue. All T-bars except about 150m one chairlift, only one restaurant. Overall impression best case everything done minimal cheap. Selling TISSOT watches to non-skiers seems to be the raison d'etre of this place

the worst experience !! avoid !!
Avoid this kind of experience, the price is abusive, not worth it, the treatment of the staff is very rude, they just want to take your money.

    Do the Glacier walk!
An absolute must do! The most fantastic views I have ever seen in my life. It isn’t cheap, but it is worth it. We did the Golden Pass Train from Montreux to Gstaad, the bus then literally meets you at the train as described - so easy. It is then about 25/30 minutes on the bus to the bottoms of the glacier. When you get to the top of the glacier (2 very easy cable cars) there is more to do then first realised, we spent a lot longer there than we originally thought we would! The glacier walk is fab and worth it, it is about 5km there and back. My recommendation would be wear walking boots if possible! The snow is deep and there are puddles of glacier water at points. It is a harder walk than it seems. But the views at the other side are worth it. We went the Refuge l’espace at the end of the Glacier walk and sat outside. Not cheap but stunning views and a good pit stop before the other 2.5km back. By the time we had done that, the peak walk, a look in the shop and a trip down the alpine coaster we caught the second to last cable car back to the bottom! Only thing is the buses from the bottom only run every hour towards the end of the day, so we missed the bus by 5/10 minutes so we sat in the restaurant at the bottom and had a drink whilst we waited the hour for the next bus. It is so worth the trip, it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. My partner has skied a lot in his life and said he’s never seen views like that before either.

    Top of the world
Fantastic to walk between the two peaks. Great views but you need to be patient when the clouds can move so fast that the outlook can change by the second . Well worth the trip .

    Spectacular Views
To say this is not cheap, is an understatement. However, the views are absolutely spectacular. Smooth ride in both cable cars up to the top. Unfortunately for us, the wind meant we could not do the bridge. However, we saw so much of the fabulous views as the wind blew the clouds across. Can get busy with tourists but definitely a good trip.

    Breathtaking place
It was my first time seeing snow and it was an amazing experience. We took two cable cars that got us to the main point of the attraction. There were hiking options available, ski rental and fun spot for kids. There was also a cafe with food options. An amazing day to enjoy with family, friends or individually. The place give a 360 view of the Alps.

"Always" closed place, not really worth going
I can't really recommend this place either to skiers or even tourists. I am local but I can hardly ever manage to come there in the winter seasons because it's almost always closed, citing the high winds. And even if they happen to be open: For skiers: - The top glacier area is rather boring, only blue trails there and t-hook or plate lifts that are ancient - The only black trail is OK and off-piste and couloirs around it are cool but it's closed even oftener than the whole area at the top For pedestrians: - the Tissot bridge is nothing really spectacular, you can find much nicer ones. It's OK say for tourists who never been in Switzerland but e.g. Rigi, Pilatus, Titlis and other touristy places are nicer - it's usually overcrowded - the restaurant at the top is overpriced and the food quality is just meh - walking areas don't have much of views And the owners can spare their time for replying about "closures due to safety concerns"--for example Saas-Fee somehow manages to remain open even when the winds exceed 70 km/h, while you close everything at 35 km/h. All in all I only try to use it as the last resort that formally remains open late in the spring but then 9/10 times I can't even get there since they close it.

It was my first experience with snow and it couldn’t had been better. What I most liked is that Glacier 3000 has a lot of activities for pedestrians.

    Amazing experience
Amazing experience, 1000% worth the money! Our tour guide (Normunds) was great! Really funny and had lots of amazing facts on the journey there. Even the coach trip to glacier was really good, insane views and couldn’t recommend it anymore! I really think Normunds made the experience even better! Really talkative and funny, couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide x

    Total lack of infrastructure!
I have been coming to the Glacier for many years, and quite frankly the experience this time was extremely disappointing. First of all, the infrastructure on the slopes is unforgivingly outdated. I understand that there were many people, but it’s unacceptable that the ski lifts are the same as 20 years ago, with limited capacity and unnecessary queues forming up. Instead of working on the restaurant, perhaps it would be better to focus on the skiers. On a side note, how can it be that one out of the three (not 25) lifts, the Quille, was closed? 33% less capacity on a sunny day with plenty of people is unacceptable! The ropes thy were set up to get back are also a joke, as it is almost impossible to hang on and your gloves or jacket may get damaged… why not replicate the mini-lift that was set up at the Combe d’Audon? Then there’s the general level of service, which is abysmal. The people working at the parking lot are incompetent and made me go against a rock with my car! Also, nobody was putting salt on the asphalt, which caused me to suffer a fall I still haven’t recovered from (lucky I didn’t press charges). Finally, the restaurant… the “emergency” structure that was setup is totally inadequate, it’s unacceptable to have to wait 1 hour standing in line to order food. Why on Earth not doing the renovation during the summer season, when there’s hardly anyone going up? The slopes are fine, but if you cannot fully take advantage, the whole experience becomes quite poor…

We visited mid December when we purchased our ticket was informed that may close due to high winds but not informed that would be given no refund if did close. So bought tickets (my son's first time skiing I. Switzerland so excited). Took the lift up, as soon as go out all ski slope lifts were shut down by staff due to wind, closed nothing NADA. So we had to return down. On visiting the kiosk were told that no refund, even though we had not even got one chance to ski. If we had skiied for a few runs or so I guess I can accept there argument but we did not even use the service we paid for. The manager just quoted the rule book at us. I presume very swiss but really who cares just disgusting money grubbing as far as I am concerned hiding behind a rule book. Will never ever return.

My husband, myself, and our two kids (ages 6 and 7) recently visited Glacier 3000 during our trip to Switzerland and had an amazing experience with them! We stayed in Gstaad the night before and it was about a 30-minute bus ride up to the base of the cable lift. We got our lift tickets quickly and were on our way up in no time! Once we arrived at the top, we headed straight down the chair lift to the main reason for our visit: dog sledding! It's normally suggested you make an appointment ahead of time, but there was a cancelation so our timing worked out perfectly. We were able to pay the musher directly (30chf pp) and took turns with our kids going around the loop multiple times. Afterward, our family got to spend time petting and loving on the dogs. We were the only family there so were able to take our time and never felt rushed. This was the highlight of my daughter's entire 10-day trip to Switzerland and something she is still talking about constantly!! If dog sledding is on our Switzerland bucket list, we'd definitely recommend making the trip up to Glacier 3000 just for that. There are only a few places in the whole country that offer it, and it was harder to find a company than I would have thought.

After dog sledding, we headed up to the peak walk which was another highlight. It was extremely windy and cold the day we visited, so dress accordingly but don't let it stop you from experiencing all the amazing views from the top! Our kids felt so brave walking across the bridge and the panoramic views in every direction are definitely something we are so glad we experienced with our kids. Overall, our experience was wonderful and well worth the trip up!

A visit is definitely worth it in winter, you just have to have very warm clothes, proper shoes, gloves, scarf etc. We went with some friends and they were wearing jeans and decided to be inside the restaurant because it was too cold for them outside. It was the first week of January. We paid around 60 CHF because there was a voucher on a site called qoqa. We took two cable cars and arrived to the top, then you need to climb some stairs outside to get to the bridge. I was dying, it was so exhausting. It is not a lot of stairs but the cold makes it worse. We took nice photos. To check the ice cathedral, you take a small gondola. I was afraid at first but you have a protection grid and it goes very slowly. Then you walk a bit and you can take a photo with the sign Glacier 3000 and then you go inside the ice cathedral or better call it an ice cave. You go there at your own risk. Inside it is very dark but your eyes will get used to it after some time. It did not feel cold inside the cave. But it can be very slippery so be very careful. And to get out of it you also have to be sporty and fit to climb on the snow to get back up. Then we took the gondola again and had fondue at the restaurant which was still open. At 4.30 PM we took the last cable car down. A great experience!

Gondola ride to Glacier 3000 was a great thrill. After three Gondola rides, we arrived at the upper station. Our walk up to the peaks, across the "Tissot Peak Walk" suspension bridge, was greeted with severe blowing which made the walk more memorable and thrilling. As we timed the visit to the early hours of the day the place was less crowded. All around were fantastic ski fields. Suspension bridge, was rather narrow but was the bliss of this tour. It was a thrill to walk across this slightly bouncy construction to reach the second peak. The panorama from the summit at glacier 3000 was breathtaking.

We went as a family of 4 from Geneva. We booked the dog sled ride as extra online.
We had booked for Saturday but got a call on Friday from the dog sled co to say it would have to be cancelled due to poor visibility.
Thankfully we were able to move our booking to Sunday.
The weather and views are stunning - blue skies and crisp white snow. The Peak Walk has amazing views.
However, the Ice Express ski lift was closed as it was too cold, apparently.
There is no way to check this - the webcam showed glorious blue skies.
This all meant we couldn't do the dog sled or the glacier walk (both require going down the ski lift).
We found this out as we went to go for the skil lift.
We had no indication it would be cancelled and still haven't heard from the dog sled co about a refund (no answer when we called).
So all we could do is the Peak Walk. 2/3 things closed (plus we knew the two rides were closed).
Montreux Christmas Market on the way back was OK, but very, very busy.
It made the whole trip extremely expensive and very poor value for money.
On the basis that there is no guarantee that anything will be open, we can't recommend it - it's too big a risk leaving a 13 and 15 year and 2 parents very disappointed.

Pick a sunny day and head to Glacier 3000. There is a free parking at the bottom of the station. The ride up is fun with the cable car. You need to change in the middle for another cabin to reach the summit.

We went in the summer. On the top you can visit the Peak Walk, a bridge that will bring you to almost 3'000 meters. The view is really spectacular. There are some binoculars with the name of the mountains surrounding you.

You can then go down with the ice lift chair, included in the price, and walk the 2km to "la Quille du Diable" and Refuge l'Espace. It's an easy walk on the snow. It's not sporty, it's a great adventure as a family trip with kids.

There are plenty of picnic tables and you can buy food and drinks at the Glacier 3000 station, or at Refuge l'Espace.

It was quit hot when we went, but it can easily be cold at 3000m. Bring a jacket.

Glacier 3000 is easy to get to from gstaad, I took bus 180 from the train station and it took about 40 mins to get there. I got day pass which included the cable car rides and access to the watch souvenir shop, ice express which is the ski lift, glacier walk, viewpoint and peak walk. The views from the top are stunning and this place is definitely worth a visit. I was lucky to visit on a beautiful sunny day and was rewarded by stunning vistas all round. The return bus tickets cost 22 chf and the day pass was 65 chf.

It was one of the best experience! Was there in Dec 2019 and it was snowing and the wind was quite strong. Super cold but we brave the coldness and went up to Glacier 3000. Parking is available at the bottom near to the ticketing counter, the excited already started from the cable car ride with an amazing view. But it's even amazing once you reach the peak.

The peak walk was quite scary that day as the wind was very strong. But you have to cross as it was out of the world experience. Maybe not for people who are afraid of height. Hand warmers are available to purchase in the retail shop for those who are going in winter and scare of cold.

Food at the Glacier 3000 is slightly costly but its expected for a tourist attraction.

Would recommend for a spectacular view of the alps!

Ticket booth did not want to discount for seniors as the self ticket kiosk showed, $80 per adult to ride up to peak, walk across the peak and ride the ski lift. dog sledding was not available, no toboggan sleds available or in site at the "fun park . If there was some place we were suppose to get those at there was no-one to direct/ help us except on the ski lifts. I wish i would have read the reviews before spending the $32 train/bus tickets + $80 for an hr worth of rides/ walks. WISH i knew how to ski and maybe it would be worth that for a day not an hr.

Hello, we are sorry that our prices do not correspond to your expectations. Operating a glacier at an altitude of 3'000 meters generates very high maintenance costs. We do our best to reduce the impact of this factor on our ticket prices. You can see by analyzing the prices of other high altitude destinations that we make a real effort to remain among the cheapest in this sector. Concerning the sleds at the Fun Park, they are available for free and we have an employee at the bottom of the Ice Express chairlift who is available for you. There are also other activities included in your ticket, such as the Peak Walk by Tissot and Glacier Walk. The Dogsled Rides are only available on specific dates, which is indicated on our flyer and website. If you want to enjoy this activity, you can book it on our webshop. Thank you for your understanding and see you soon!

Hello, I am not someone who often posts comments, but then I am not ready to return to a Swiss station.
We arrived in the morning at 9:30 a.m. to go skiing.
Arrival at the foot of the resort, no ski rental shop!!
We inquired at reception to find out the prices.
We are told 85 € to go and visit the 3000 glacier + 75 euros for the Ski pass which supposedly does not include the visit to the 3000 glacier.!!!
Since there are five of us arriving in a car and for the ski rental, we have to go back down to the village which is much lower down, so we decide to take a simple pass for the glacier 3000 at 85€ per person all the same .
Disappointment arriving at the top They forgot to tell us that the weather was bad so we didn't see much!!!
In addition we could access it with the pass for €75, ultimately we could have gone skiing at the end of the day.
We lodged a complaint, but they didn't want to know anything, not even a commercial gesture to come back the next day at least to ski!!
Next time we will spend our money in our country, and in the French Alps, we are better received and the people are polite and attentive.

Good morning,
Very big disappointment on Glacier 3000. Indeed, we were a group of five people and we had questions regarding ski passes. In fact, we wanted to do the suspended footbridge as well as the ski lifts. On the site this is poorly indicated, we do not know if the ski pass also included the footbridge. Arriving at the reception of the glacier 3000 cable car, we asked the person at reception who told us that we had to take both the pedestrian pass for the footbridge and the ski pass for the ski lifts. This was not the case at all. Indeed, when we reached the top we noticed that people who had only taken the ski pass could visit the footbridge without worry. I really do not recommend this experience, and we indicated this to the person at reception, but they did not want to recognize their faults, nor even make any gestures regarding the inconvenience.
