Very knowledgeable and friendly guide and beautiful nature! We specially learned a lot about Flamingos. They have much more in common with us humans than you can imagine. Ask for Johannes as a guide and you will know it. Ah, and search on the internet in 5 years from now for "the Flamingos pill" that I will make. I know sounds crazy, but wait for it 😉

I loved this tour. We had the choice of 3 jeeps, each with a different language guide. Milen, our guide, told us all about the Camargue, the history, geography, economy, flora and fauna. Beautiful area to see. I could have gone with another 15 minutes in Sainte Maries de la Mer.

Don't be misled by the word safari, or by the use of a jeep. This implies you might go off the beaten track, into the national park, into the wilderness and nature. In fact we didn't go more than a few hundred meters off the main tarmac road with all the traffic. We got to see a sand paddock with horses and an enclosure with some bulls, plus a rice plantation. We stared at a bird on the side of the road at the back of some houses for a while. A better description would be 'Tour of the outskirts of Saintes Maries de la Mer' , although the guide had some interesting knowledge on wildlife and history to share.

We learned a lot from Paul who was attentive and informative. We saw several flocks of Flamingo, horses, bulls and various water based birds. In our opinion, had we tried to see the region on our own we would have missed out. Thank you to all the staff. The admin was really simple and the trip very pleasurable.

We were fortunate to get a great guide who was interested in birds, nature and gave a lot of info about the past and present of fauna and flora in the camargue.

Amazing experience. We had the Italian speaking driver and tour guide Claudio. He was very nice. Explained so many things. Not that the route is on dirty land and road. He took us to visit many historical places as well. We loved all the detailed information . Highway recommend!

As someone who loves taking photos I was looking for a sunrise start, which wasn't on offer. Earliest tour was 10am. The first 75mins of the two hours was spent birdwatching. You will see some birds but most are a loooonnnng way away - so if you don't have binoculars (they are not provided) it's incredibly dull. Maybe I'm the idiot for not bringing them - but they don't warn you. Second issue is the location they take you to for the morning tour - being East-facing you're squinting straight into the sun so photography is nigh on impossible. If you are into birds I would go to the Ornithological Park up the road and see them up close. But I was really on this tour to see Carmargue horses in pretty landscape. Spoiler alert: if you come to the Carmargue you cannot fail to see horses as you drive through the region. The Carmargue has white horses like London has red buses. I was also excited to see bulls - which I did see when the driver pulled up to a farmers fence for us to peer over. This is something you could do from your own car while playing a YouTube video to give you the background facts. With a bit of prior research you could save yourself some cash. Looking over a farmers fence - is not by my understanding of the definition 'a safari'. Maybe my expectations were just way off. If you had dreams of coming away with pics of wading flamingoes, rugged rancheros herding bulls or cowboys driving horses for a morning gallop through a pretty stream, expect to come away as disappointed as me. We all know the bulls and horses don't roam free here but little effort has gone into the planning of this tour.

We had an extraordinary trip with our guide, Paul. He spoke fluent English and French and toured us everywhere to see the horses, bulls and wide range of birdlife including the flamingos. But the best part of the trip was understanding the history of this delta, its geological and topographical evolution as well as that of the wildlife and the agriculture as it has evolved over the centuries. Great fun, learned a lot, wonderful pictures. Additionally, as this was a very busy time in the village, the owners arranged to pick us up outside of town to avoid the congestion. They were in regular contact from the time we made our reservations and so easy to work with.

Excellent experience with a driver guide who drove us to places and critters that we wanted to see and taught us about French bulls an bull fighting in France.

The guide was very informative. However, it turned a little political with his views on how the ecologists were affecting the area. The tour was supposed to be about the flora and fauna about the area, he knew almost nothing about the flamingos. He mostly explained to us the workings of the bull races, which was interesting but a little too long. But then he was insulted when no one in the group wanted to know anything about the Spanish bull fighting! We are in France, not Spain! I’m glad we went but would not recommend. Very cramped vehicle. Much better to just read online about the area and drive around in your own car

Had a great time on safari in open top land rover. Guide was informative throughout and made the trip much better. As we were observing animals, we were lucky to see bulls, horses and flamingos up close. Be prepared this doesn't happen on every occasion. Definitely worth it as even the teenagers in our family enjoyed!

The guide was full of knowledge, and presented it in a funny and understandable way. Well worth the money !! Siri and Hanne

Highly qualified guide (native speaker F and E) loads of interesting information on Camargues nature with focus on birdlife; good wildlife sightings; Land Rover with open roof, ideal for animal spotting also while driving. Guide practicing his own special charme; challenge to find a parking space on market days; loudspeaker for backseat row sporadically interrupting thus hard to follow comments. Overall great experience - recommended for individuals and families

Excellent tour of the Camarague, with lots of useful information given in English by our guide Paul. Well worth the money, better value than the boat trips

The guide is friendly and speaks English fluently! he showed us around and told stories about the animals and the region! We haven’t seen much of the flamingos and bulls; mainly we saw the white horses!! The bulls were a bit far to see clearly, and the flamingos just one here or there! If you want to do the safari don’t buy it on Tripadiber it is more expensive. Go directly to their office in Sainte Marie de la Mer Center
