Great way to customize for our family trip!
During our August 2024 Celebrity cruise, we opted for two private tours: A day in Florence and Pompeii, Herculaneum, Wine Tasting as well as an airport transfer from Rome in Limo. The service in advance was terrific with questions being answered promptly and guidance in the planning process most helpful. The Day in Florence started with pick up and drive from the Port of La Spezia. The driver was knowledgeable and shared great details along the way. A guide for a walking tour and the Uffizi was also arranged and allowed the experience to be tailored for our family including a 14 year old. The tour itself was wonderful and offered the right mix of guide and structure, but also a chance to explore and enjoy time on our own. The excursion out of the Port of Naples was terrific. Again, another great and friendly driver who shared details about the area provided transportation. Then a tour guide in Pompeii and Herculaneum ensured the highlights were covered. We ended the tour with lunch and wine tasting - it was AMAZING! Overall, from planning to drop off Rome in Limo ensured a seamless and wonderful experience.

Excellent tour of Rome with the best driver/guide
Excellent tour of Rome with a stop at St. Peter’s Basilica. Our Guide, Peter was the best guide. He toured us all around Rome, had some valuable information that he shared with us. If you’re going to Italy I would highly recommend that you use Rome in Limo. We were on a cruise and used Rome in Limo on all ports that we stopped in Italy and probably had a better experience than being on a big tour and it was cheaper than the cruise tours.

        Secrets of Pisa
Antonio picked us up at the cruise terminal with a black Mercedes van. He is animated and genuinely excited about us being there. He is originally from Pisa and promises to tell us the city's secrets. He begins by telling us about the city's long and complicated history. These Italian cities were built upon the Roman cities and have been around for hundreds of years! He shows us the city walls and explains how the city grew outside the walls after the Romans had conquered the know world. He introduced us to the river Aron and explained its importance to both Pisa and Florence. He dropped us off just outside of the leaning tower of Pisa, which was built to lean, on purpose. The leaning tower of Pisa is the bell tower to the Pisa cathedral and Pisian baptistry. Antonio grew up near this cathedral and had been baptized in the baptistery. We purchased tickets ahead of time and strolled around the grounds until our appointed time to enter the bell tower. The winding stone staircase is very narrow and you are not allowed to bring in any additional bags or purses. There are lockers available for a small fee to store your items. The schedule is very strict and you must enter the tower at your scheduled time or you will not be admitted. Ascending the stairs in the tower was a vertigo experience for me. As you step up, the tower gently leans at different angles as you ascend the circular staircase. The narrow staircase is wide enough for two people, shoulder to shoulder. After Pisa, Antonio shared a Pisa secret, there is another leaning tower in Pisa. The bell tower of San Michele degli Scalzi. It is located along a quiet parkway in town. We also stopped to see Michelangelo's famous David. We purchased these tickets online ahead of time as well. These also have a time of entry for the museum. After Pisa, we drove to Florence. Antonio took us up to a lovely overlook over the city and explained the importance of the various bridges and Medici castles. He brought us to the leather market, the gold market and many roads of shops. This is a fun city to shop, both touristy shops and high end fashion shops.

I would do this day again
(Rome) we drive through fields of selomila wheat, green leafy plants, dogs sniffing for truffles, hazelnut and olive trees. Peter, our driver from our previous RomeIn Limo trip to Rome, does not remember us from last year, although we recognize him right away. He is the reason we booked with this company again. The curvature of the landscape and the winding ribbon of road, quickly tests all of our driving comfort. We arrive outside the Civeta de Bagnoregio after about an hour of driving. The city of Bagnoregio was an island fortress, over 2,000 years ago when it was built. Since its birth, the sea has completely disappeared and lush mountains and valleys surround the once island. Now we walk through the valley of air that was the sea. The foundation is slowly eroding away, falling victim to gravity’s effect on the topography of the land. A small army of Chinese tourists accidentally jam the coin operated bathrooms located at the top of the parking lot. There is a second coin operated bathroom under the bridge. The air is cool, almost cold, as we start our trek across the long pedestrian bridge to the old city. The pedestrian bridge spans over 3,000 meters. Roman cities built on rocky mountain tops are located in numerous places in Italy. Bagnoregio is a dying city. There are 11 official citizens. Only those who live there are allowed to stay. Years ago a decision was made that no new citizens could purchase property. When a citizen dies, the population shrinks. Most of the buildings are vacant when we arrive. There are a number that are dedicated to small touristy shops and restaurants, and a few B&B’s that are closed for the season. The streets a quiet and peaceful. We see a number of cats sunning themselves on the stone walls. Looking over the vistas around the whole city is idyllic. It is exactly the image we all have in our heads about what Italy should look like; stone pathways and buildings, potted flowers, weeping Wisteria, rolling green fields, even a few old Italians talking on a stoop together. It is picture perfect, a feast for our eyes. The stone walls and roads have hosted pedestrian traffic since its creation. We take lots of pictures. Our next destination is Orvieto, another Roman built city on the top of a rocky vista. The jewel of the town is the famous Dumo cathedral, constructed in black and white striped walls. The cathedral was initially built sometime in the 12th century, on top of a previous worship building that had fallen into disrepair. The cathedral was under construction for about 300 years, with adjustments and replacements continuing to this day. The Romanesque cathedral is a beauty to behold. I believe it is the most beautiful cathedral I have ever seen. The front facing facades glitter gold in the sunlight. The ornate twisted columns are meticulously crafted and decorated with mosaic tiles. It is a jewel. We wandered through the streets and found an artisan olive wood shop and bought several items. While there, the owner talked to us about a local restaurant with carbonara. Regional food is a big deal in Italy. We remembered Tony (our RomeIn Limo guide from Napoli) had said that Orvieto is known for the carbonara. We jumped at the chance to go to a local restaurant. The La Mezza Luna restaurant was located in a building that is a little more than a paved cave. Three family members spoke little English but were warm and welcoming. The fully Italian worded menu had few clues but carbonara was easily discernible. We ate without reservation. The carbonara will not soon be forgotten. Towards the end of the day, I wanted to see St Peters Well. An ancient well with double helix staircases. After purchasing tickets, we walked over to the unassuming entrance. With over 200 steps, we strolled down and back up again. The depth and architecture of the well was revolutionary.

        Tour from Napoli
We took a Mediterranean cruise in early November as couples. Not wanting to be a part of a large tour group, we hired RomeIn Limo to do a private tour for the four of us. We had previously used RomeIn Limo when we visited Rome and were so happy with their services, we hired them again for several city stops. In Naples we were picked up at the cruise terminal by Tony. He had our names on a piece of paper and was easy to spot. He led us to a black Mercedes van in the parking lot. The van was clean and Tony gave us each a cold bottle of water. As we drove to the Pompeii we had very pleasant conversations about Italy, a little history, a little art and a lot of culture. At Pompeii we met up with our guide, who was extremely knowledgeable. There are a number of ways to tour the city of Pompeii. It is very large, so if you want to see the whole thing, it will take longer than one day. We had a half day tour and saw the houses and baths around the Forum. Wearing comfortable and sturdy shoes is a must! After our tour, we met with our guide Tony who drove us along the beautiful coast to Sorrento. Here we stopped at a local restaurant for an authentic Italian meal. Afterwards, we wondered around the shops and streets of the city. There are lots of beautiful things to see and buy. I would recommend the lemon gelato and the lemon candies, they are a delicious treat! Our last stop of the day was at an olive oil factory and saw how the olives are pressed for oil. We were able to taste and purchase the flavored olive oils and vinegars. This was a real treat. We were so satisfied with Tony and RomeIn Limo, we were certainly use them again.

        Great tour
Spent the day touring with Daniel our driver/tour guide. Stopped by an olive farm, sampled many olive oils, drove along the coast, saw part of the Pompei area.

        Actually Site See!!!
Rome In Limo is a great experience!!! I use their service every time I travel to Italy. The drivers and tour guides are knowledgeable and engaging. It is a first class operation!!! It is the best way to see Rome or any city in Italy. You can relax and see the sites at your own pace without being on a strict schedule. Using Rome In Limo takes a lot of stress out of visiting bustling tourist attractions!!!

        Excelent!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Some attractions were closed due to the New Year’s holiday, but he made great suggestions to make up for the things we could not see. Will recommend it if you want to explore the outskirts of Rome.

The only tour company we use when in Italy
This is our second trip to Italy and we were so impressed with Romeinlimo the first trip for our 3 stops, we booked them again on this trip over. Again we booked the 3 excursions with them. Jany answers all questions quickly and the drivers/guides are amazing. The vehicles are super comfortable and the drivers very knowledgable. If you want stress free, but complete tours in Itally - I would 100% use this company again - in fact we are returning to Italy again in August 2025 and will be booking with this company again. You should look at their website - they have several excursions available at each port - so something for everyone. Safe, affordable, knowledgable, comprehensive and flexible - what more could you ask for?

        Love those Limos
First let me say that the tour listed does not do Rome in Limo Justice. We used them for transportation from the airport to Rome Hotel, from the hotel to Civitavecchia and a private limo to Montalcino on a planned visit to wineries. Each of three drivers were excellent, helping us with our luggage, on time and friendly. The all day trip to Montalcino had been planned by me choosing the wineries, the restaurant for lunch with reservations. the timing was perfect as he and we kept to the schedule. Throughout our four days in Rome they were on time cordial and helpful. I can lnly say that if you need transportation or touring contact them

        AMAZING day in Rome
We had an amazing day in Rome with Francesco as our driver! We did the Vatican on our own the day prior. Francesco picked us up at our hotel and we were off to the Coliseum. Our day was packed—Roman Forums, pantheon, all the Basilicas, Treve Fountain, Spanish steps, shopping in luxury retail district. He gave us a dinner suggestion which ended up being the best meal of our trip. Francesco was very knowledgeable, funny, very kind. Four women traveling together and we felt very safe . I wish this service had been available in every port of call on our Viking Iconic Mediterranean cruise—it would have been well worth the money. Will definitely use this service again for our next trip back to Rome.

The best day of our trip to Rome!
We were 3 generations of women celebrating a graduation and a milestone birthday by taking a trip to Rome. After looking at so many 'day trips to Tuscany' tours we chose the Pienza & Montepulciano tour which included a winery visit. They offered an option of adding Orvieto and we added that - our trip was perfect. We had the perfect gentleman guide in Francesco who knew the area so well and knew what we wanted to see and do. He stopped for us to take the scenic photos and let us explore the 3 cities and the winery experience by ourselves, never intruding on our activities s shopping. He gave us great suggestions and was prompt for our hotel pick up and got us back safe and happy. We were lucky with perfect weather and all agree the Tuscany area is a must to see, even if it is just for a day. We felt like we really got the feel of the area and loved every minute. The company has wonderful customer service and was great in helping us find the name of a shop we visited - thank you Jany and crew! We cannot recommend this company, the tour, our driver Francesco, and this itinerary highly enough for your day trip from Rome. A++++
