About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- DrGreyhound0 contributionsFun Day … and disability inclusiveFather of teen sons & wear a below knee prosthetic leg. Purpose built “wet leg” built for water activity. Adventure Park kindly allows it be worn on all water slides after a simple verbal liability waiver. With lawyers hiding in Australian shrubbery don’t blame them .. but yeah I’m responsible for own safety. Call this “The WaterPark Redemption” after being banned at Waterbom Bali earlier on summer break. Waterbom made me sign waiver, wear red medical “restricted” wristband & directed me to gazebo or pool bar. I was pretty angered/saddened and my teenagers were gutted I couldn’t enjoy park together with them. Redemptive fun rides in multiple at Adventure Park. Tornado being our family favourite. Big air whooping as 3-weight (Dad & 2 teens) on mat zooming up the huge yellow/purple Funnel ! Adventure Park is mindful of providing lots of shady table seating in large accessible free marquees. Fantastic day. Hooray to the management and staff team at AP.Written 25 January 2024
- Anelee S0 contributionsDISCUSTWe had to wait about 1hr & 30mins to get on the tsunami and made some of the family get worried that they had not seen us when we came out and went to a different slide. There were people pushing in from the back. The lazy river was really a lazy river it was more like dodgem cars. Around the corners it had a strong smell of urine.Written 15 January 2024
- rebeccamG1994GL0 contributionsBad communication and completely overpricedWe rang before driving from Ballarat to ask about the late entry discount tickets. We were told twice on the phone it was from 3.30pm and $45. We timed everything to get the kids here for 3.30pm. Arrived at gate to be told it's from 4.15pm so we would need to pay full price for 2 hrs and 45 mins. Absolutely terrible communication and pricing.Written 30 December 2023
- KristinWell0 contributionsFestival of lights very disappointingWent for the festival of lights, would not visit again. We drove 2.5 hours for a disappointing experience. Our 2 yo’s head touch the 90cm line so we were made to pay for him which is ridiculous. Then the park was so packed it was an hours wait for a ride and when it’s only open for 4 1/2 hours doesn’t give you much to enjoy, was also hard to enjoy the lights as there were so many people packed in and trying to take photos (as we all want to do) that you couldn’t stop and enjoy them. We were planning on taking the kids to visit during the day for the water slides but after tonight’s experience we will take them elsewhere.Written 16 December 2023
- jacksY2333TK0 contributionsFun with my matesMe and my mates went for a day out of fun. We first went to the tornado which had a smaller [funnily enough] line wait time of 25-30 mins. Very fun slide with a really big drop halfway through. then we did the big carousel swing, which made us very dry. At the end me and my mates could do both the big rides and only have to wait for 1-3 mins. Very good theme park do recommend.Written 10 December 2023
- willowexplore0 contributionsAdventure Park Winter GlowOur family of four had the most amazing time at Winter Glow. Opened 3.30pm - 8.30pm, entry was smooth and from the moment you stroll in, it’s all about the fun. We got through so much in a few short hours, from playing mini golf to the excitement of the rollercoaster, we toasted marshmallows around the fire and enjoyed the fire twirling and our kids loved decorating the cookies, there really is something for everyone. The millions of lights and walking around the lake taking it all in is simply spectacular. Well done Adventure Park, we had the best time.Written 1 July 2023
- Tammy F0 contributionsGreat day outWe visited as a large group (6 adults and 6 kids aged 2-12). We went in a Friday and we’re there for the full 7 hours. We didn’t get a chance to do the mini golf or paddle boats. Lines were quick and waited probably 15 minutes at most for tube water rides. We had a cabana - would recommend. We took our own drinks to put in the fridge and snacks. It was a great base for the adults and older kids. We had lunch there, limited options on a Friday but there were burgers, pizza, hotdogs, hot chips and sandwiches. It was about $18 for a burger combo with hot chips and drinks. The chicken burgers were nice. Kids had an ice-cream as well. We would definitely return.Written 1 March 2023
- C4691NNpatriciah0 contributionsNever againI emailed this company, no response, I drove 90 minutes to take my 3 grandchildren to this theme park for there birthdays it was well set up but impossible with all the water slides more then 1 hour wait, they let that many people in it’s ridiculous, they charge a premium price I wouldn’t recommend total waste of time my grandchildren spent all day in lines that were endless.Written 24 February 2023
- claredL2798AO0 contributionsFrustratingIt was completely over sold. Extraordinary lines for water slides. Never again. No point paying $200 for a family to spend hours in lines.Written 13 January 2023
- Gretchen S0 contributionsExpensive and very long wait time in the sunVery expensive for Little activities. Not enough shade or places to sit. Needs more water play for children 6 and up. Very unfriendly staff. Should be able to buy things without having to use a cardWritten 11 January 2023

- chloemadisonn0 contributionsWhat a nightmare...Was terrible... smelt horrible and the lines were ridiculous. They told us to book in advance to make sure we didn't miss out yet were still selling tickets at the door on the day of arrival. The whole place is a scam of money and not worth it! From being there @10:30am - 2:30pm we got on a total of.... 3 rides! for the hours wait for one lap of the lazy river.... This place has gone down hill and its really overpopulated due to obvious overpopulation in the world however you would think they could call it at capacity but they definitely pushed it to get their money's worth. Day was in shambles.... I recommend Gumbaya World for price and value!!Written 8 January 2023
- 191samreens0 contributionsTerribleWe are family of 2 adults, one toddler 95cm and one infant. We have Seasonal passes. It's a total waste of money. There is not much to enjoy. Water is not heated and my toddler shivers every time even on the hottest day. Few Indian adult men opened the river safety gate and dived into river. I saved a toddler running after them and getting drowned on this boxing day. Super crowded, rides get super hot. Aeroplane ride's safety belt is super easy to loosen which can cause accidents. Not enough rides nothing much to enjoy. Super hot venue. No shady cool place for mothers who breastfeed and have prams. I would call it waste of money.Written 7 January 2023
- TheAngel6660 contributionsEvery seating area soaking wetThey soak every seating area with water, so you have nowhere to sit or put your stuff. It wasn’t rain, as it wasn’t raining since the previous morning, and it was everywhere, including the shaded areas, which will also take longer to dry, since they are … shaded! Will never come here again.Written 22 December 2022
- brian t0 contributionsAmazing experienceVisited Adventure Park for the first time 19/11/22. The weather while overcast at 6.30 was raining heavily by 8.30 . While the park closed down the rides for safety reasons {wholly support this }. The light show was left going . The light show is AMAZING { Although this is nowhere near a term to describe } We all enjoyed the lights and this will now be a family occasion every year going forward . The Staff , are next level helpful , friendly and all under trying conditions . They are a total credit to the parkWritten 26 November 2022

Disgusted! I am an RACV member and was told we couldn’t receive the discount even though it’s on the website. They said it was due to limited numbers but that’s crap as there is so much availability especially this week due to bad weather. So many families hurting financially right now and can only go if they can use their RACV discount. It pretty simple to update the website to let people know that this discount no longer applies. Won’t ever go again based on principle. The attraction is for families but $200 for a family of 4 is an absolute joke and don’t even get me started on charging $12 for a locker!

Hi,
thanks for your feedback.
RACV purchase tickets from us as a third party supplier and on-sells them to members with a 10% discount.
This year we are unable to provide third party suppliers with tickets as visitors must book their visit online via our website to comply with the government's COVID capacity restrictions and contact tracing requirements.
We're very sorry for your disappointment however we are operating at a much lower capacity in season 2020-21 and give priority to our season pass members and those booking directly with us.

This was a really mixed experience. The lights are beautiful they are definitely 5 star but the organisation of this event for overall experience was a 1 to 2 star at times. There were far too many people let in for the number of activities open the waits for rides were anything from 30 to 40 minutes for a 2 min ride and people were crammed in the line like sardines then the rides all closed 25 minutes before the event ended which we weren't aware of youd think they would be open for the event when you pay for that time. So we couldn't even get on the ferris wheel which left a very sad 4 year old and many other disappointed guests. Queues for food were 20 min plus it was overpriced and average definitely byo food if you go. And there was absolutely no social distancing in the lines for rides or food and no staff to even attempt to ensure that it occurred definitely not following a covid safe plan i didn't see any cleaners around tables or anything either. There was also no cleaning of rides between guests which showed a distinct lack of care for guests during covid The staff who were there were really pleasant however they needed more staff and to limit entry numbers or get more rides. So many people were complaining about the ridiculous lines. We normally do santas magical kingdom every year a fab experience where they limit numbers to ensure everyone has fun because it wasnt on we tried this but cramming such big crowds in like that is really disappointing especially during covid. Its not fun for little kids spending hours in lines. Its a shame as if they actually only let in the number they could cater for properly it could be a great experience but it seems all about $$$$ not the experience.

We came here as a family outing to celebrate my daughter's birthday and we all sure had lots of fun. The weather didn't look too good in the morning which deterred away the crowds which made it perfect for us. The staff are friendly, the rides were awesome, so much to enjoy that we ran out of time and had to race through our putt putt golf. Overall, a very fun filled day of adventure for us all. Only thing is that it was quite pricey for 5 of us...wished they had family discounted tickets...as having to pay for the same price as adults for my 3 kids was rather steep, esp when my youngest is only 10.

The park itself is beautiful. Well laid out, plenty of shade cloths, tables, grass areas, BBQ's. The owners really gave a lot of thought into the layout. It was also very clean. The rides were great and kids had a ball. The only let down was the staff which if they were even average with their service I would have given five stars. Staff just did not seem like they wanted to be there. No smiles, small talk and just seemed like they were there because they had to be. What amazed us the most was that at 5pm the place literally went in lockdown. Like all staff just shut down the rides bang on the dot. While I can understand some people overstay it was so abrupt it came across rude. We went to pack up and wanted to change out of our swimwear for the drive home to only be told by an incredibly rude staff member (wish I got her name) that it was 5.07pm and she had already had the change rooms open a whole extra 7 minutes and that was that. We had three kids, myself and my sister and advised that on the website it still said the Park had closed at 6pm (website now says 5pm) so we didn't realise and could we just quickly change. We were told no, she raised her voice and said there were toilets at the park entrance. These toilets by the way were two external cubicles, no where to change. Even though the staff spoilt it, I would go back but our expectations on the service side would be nothing. Good service is key to a fantastic day and experience.

The key to making the most of the park is to go on a sunny but not too hot day. We chose a 23 degree day in the second week of Jan so it was busy but lines were short. Can easily do everything at least once. The big water rides will be least busy early and after 4. The food is generally not great fast food grease but you can take your own so the choice is yours. The showers didn’t work at all for an end of day rinse and the bridges are torture on bare feet, but otherwise a good day out. If I lived here I would definitely get season passes.

I just do not understand why it is height and not age that determines entry cost. My children were over 120cm when they were 4 so have to pay a full entry for kids who only use the kidzone rides and the lazy river. Not like kinder kids will go down the tornado :D Lovely man at the car ride though :)

Hi there
Our admission price is based on height because our ride access is based on height.
Those over 120cm have access to the most rides and those under 120cm and 90cm have fewer ride options until they grow a little bit. As such our admission price is based on how many rides they can go on.
I hope that makes sense!

Arrived just on opening time and massive queues as the venue was sold out. The lines moved really quickly and everything was efficient. Heaps and heaps of covered areas with tables to sit. No need to book a cabana or private area in my eyes. This is really well resourced. Lockers are good for storing personal belongings. Staff friendly and everything runs really well. Bad thing was the lines for all rides were approx 20 mins - 40 mins on everything. This is with reduced COVID numbers in park too, by the way there was no social distancing happening at all, 100 people lined up for a ride squashed in like sardines. This place is great value for money, is a great set up but the wait was awful and would not visit again for this reason. If we could go on a day with less people attending then great, otherwise it was soooo frustrating.

We got to the water park when it opened and stayed until it closed. There was plenty to do for the whole family.
Keep in mind that you have to be over 120cm to ride on the big water slides otherwise you won't be allowed to ride. The staff was inconsistent in whether or not my son (who we measured at home to be 122cm) could ride. He went 3 times on the tsunami and the 4th time wasn't allowed as they said he was too short!
You can bring your own food which makes the day a little more affordable.

My son and I had an accident on the Tornado early Dec 2020.
He got a hematoma above his left eye, hit his knees and hands hard as he got thrown out of the raft. The raft flipped just after the big funnel that's being advertised on TV and posters. The staff did not help us out as we tried to swim out of the collection pool even though my son was in visible pain and distress. They did not stop the next raft coming down which could have hit us either. Zero help. First aid at reception after was superficial.
I have reached out to their GM. The operations mgmt team was apparently not even notified of the accident. The incident report however states "informed park operations". They promised me to investigate and get back to me. I have not heard from them since.
Reconsider your trip to Adventure Park Geelong is my advice. Not safe

Hi Veeelo,
we're very sorry about this unusual accident and your son's injury.
We have inquired with our general manager who assures us that all steps were taken to provide your son with first aid treatment and that you have been speaking to him about this.

Couldn't change date- (forecast sunny-is pouring and son injured foot) spent $200 on a family pass now unable to use. Wouldn't change it to final w/e open. Leaves a really sour taste in your mouth. Will not be recommending and will return to Funfields next time in Whittlesea, closer to Melbourne and much more appreciative of their customers.
