About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- alexbB9369HV0 contributionsDisappointing TourWe had looked forward to visiting St Lucia for many years but unfortunately was bitterly disappointed. Our private tour was NOT with Danny Boy as per the initial and confirmation booking. We didn't received bottled water in the car nor visit Marigot Bay. We drove for 5 hours through the greenery with stops at the Mud Baths and a bimble through the Botanical gardens. We did see the Pitons at a brief stop but other than that didn't experience much more of the Island. Not a beach to be seen! Although the guide ( Bryton) was pleasant enough my wife was not overly impressed with his general attitude. He didn't have a great deal to say and lacked enthusiasm, giving the impression he really didn't want to be there. We booked this tour from Getyourguide reviews and photos of the Good Vibes Tours. £243 we paid was definitely not value for money and no where near as good as our experiences on other Islands we visited after St Lucia.Written 1 March 2025
- jodivowinkel0 contributionsSimply the best!Dannyboy and Cathy are amazing! From the first email Cathy responded promptly and communication was a breeze. Dannyboy drove us from The Landings to Soufrière and told us about the history of St Lucia. He is friendly, funny and most important, a great driver. Those roads are no joke! He was right on time and got us a terrific guide, Cameron, for Petit Piton. They even went out of their way to return an item I forgot in their car! I can’t recommend Dannyboy enough! 15/10!Written 26 January 2025
- RyanOfAllTrades0 contributionsTHE GENERÁL!My gf and myself were lucky enough to get ourselves essentially a private tour by what seemed like a local island celebrity. ‘The General’ took us on a (seemingly a bit perilous) car trip + private tour of the several mRNA/valleys on the way to the Pitons as well as some choice spots once we arrived. Yes, we did the Sulphur baths and all the things you see in the pictures but, literally everyone knew our tour guide. I told him he should get into politics…as he already seemed like the defacto mayor of the several towns we went through. I was suspicious (of a self-given nickname as a tour gimmick) when he first told us his name but, everyone hollering to ‘THE GENERAL!’ As we drove through the towns convinced me of the name’s legitimacy. I wish we could have had more time for his tour but, we had to make tracks back toward the boat and he got us delivered there on time, after having a nice takeaway lunch/dinner on the beach near the airport. Great day, all thanks to ‘The General.’Written 30 December 2024
- R2901SCdavidr0 contributionsDanny Boy is the best on the island!!My wife and I came to St. Lucia on our honeymoon. Danny Boy and Good Vibes tours was our best investment! From our initial contact Danny was amazing! We told him all of the excursions and tours we wanted to do and he made us a day to day itinerary of everything for us to look over and approve! It included his price for his driving services plus the price per person for each event/tour. He even pre booked events for us before they filled! We knew how much everything would cost before we began, which is so helpful to us because we like to stay on track with money. There was no back and forth negotiations, we knew how much it would cost each day! His prices are very reasonable compared to the standard fares on the island. What is great about Danny Boy is that he is extremely knowledgeable about his island and culture. He showed us how locals do things and never left our side. He was communicative, reliable, and on time every single day. If you can book Danny Boy in advance I would highly advise you do so! (Good Vibes Tours has other guides as well). He made our honeymoon stress free and memorable! Danny Boy and Good Vibes tours are the best on St. Lucia! Trust me, book in advance and Danny Boy will do the rest! Thanks Danny for an amazing memory! My wife and I had a great time as well as made a fantastic friend!Written 26 December 2024
- BY19620 contributionsGreat trip and great guide! We had a great trip with Dannyboy. Dannyboy is very friendly and funny and he is an encyclopedia of knowledge over St. Lucia. We almost passed his exam at the end of our trip :) We are looking forward to coming back, especially as we heard his wife is the best cook on the island. So we may be knocking on his front door :)Written 24 December 2024
- 768philipw0 contributionsDanny is a scammer...avoid this place.Place closes at 8PM on Saturday. Bartender Danny is rude and imposes his massive insecurities on the patrons. Impossible bartender Danny. Don't waste the time or money...Danny will scam you and abuse you.Written 21 December 2024
- Autumnn B0 contributionsWonderful Tour!Lloyd was our guide and he was awesome! So energetic and funny!! He took tons of pics for us. He encouraged me in the hot mineral bath😂😂 He stopped at an ATM for us, he got us treats along the way, he stopped at the snake guy.....it was just SO much fun! Great way to see a lot of St Lucia and get a feel for the island. We did this on our first day there, which I would recommend as you can see what else you might want to do or not do.Written 15 June 2024
- annafZ5332DQ0 contributionsEnergetic, informative and good vibes! We had an absolute blast with Danny. Nothing was too much trouble, every request was accommodated and we were made to feel part of the family. DannyBoy taught us so much information about the beautiful island and made every moment fun. We spent two days with Danny and bespoked our days out to include lots of local foods and experiences. We would 100% recommend Danny and his Good Vibes to everyone.Written 29 May 2024
- A8077BArebeccaa0 contributionsTaxi services and touringWhat an experience. Danny is truly a vibe. We had an amazing time, from beginning until the end. My kids loved it and could not stop thinking about all the jokes Danny made. I really enjoyed this trip all thanks to the good vibes team. Danny is gifted to make you laugh, relax and enjoy the ride. He is knowledge, patient, accommodating, respectful, comprehensible and friendly. We thank you for an amazing tour. Definitely looking forward to using his services in the near future. Good vibes is great vibes with Danny boy.Written 19 May 2024
- serginej0 contributionsTop Tier ExperienceWhere do I begin! Dannyboy is full of positive energy, and there's nothing but good vibes during the tour. During our ride through different cities he provided us with so much history about the island, and threw in a few jokes. Make sure you're paying attention because there's a quiz at the end! We were able to customize our tour to include the Mud bath, Waterfall, Tet Paul Nature trail, and lunch. You can't possibly visit Saint Lucia without booking this tour. You will not regret it! 10/10!!Written 16 May 2024
- K5484UMkristenh0 contributionsGood vibes only!Listen if you are not booking a tour with Dannyboy, you are missing out!! He has an amazing personality and made our tour the best one we had on the island! He was knowledgeable of his island. It was neat to learn the history of St. Lucia! We heard warnings that the Gros Pitons was a climb! Man the locals were not lying!! It was the most strenuous hike for us personally. We are not the best in shape and have hiked before but nothing like this! They give you 1.5 liter of water but doesn’t hurt to have a little extra. We drank everything we had but so glad they sold cold drinks at the bottom of the Pitons. Ron was our tour guide. He was very patient and encouraging. It was great getting to know him and he was knowledgeable in the different plants. We made it to the halfway point and the view was so worth it! I highly recommend going in the morning as the sun heats up the rocks which makes it hard to climb up and back down. An extra bonus was all the cute kitties that live on the Pitons! I’m a cat person so that made my day! Next stop was the waterfall! It was beautiful and the water was so so cold but definitely needed after the hike! Last stop was the volcanic mud bath! The sulfur smell wasn’t great but doing the mud bath made our skin so smooth afterwards. Dannyboy did a great design on us! We got complimented a lot!! Definitely do a tour with him! You won’t regret it!Written 30 April 2024
- luketR937CH0 contributionsBest Tour on the IslandDanny Boy is the absolute best tour guide on the entire island. He was attentive and engaged. We watched other tour guides at the same stops and they do not compare to the energy level of Danny Boy. By the time, you get back to your hotel you will know everything about the island. Our group had small children and a Grandmother that needed extra help. He managed the needs of everyone and adjusted the trip based on our desires and time schedule. Danny Boy thank you for the full day of Good Vibes Only. My son now wants a shirt that also says Good Vibes Only. You Rock!Written 10 April 2024

- jasminemZ8697ZR0 contributionsVIP experience. Highly recommend!St. Lucia was a stop on our cruise. The directions to find the tour were very easy. Walked right out of the terminal and there Danny Boy was to greet us. You truly feel like a VIP with Danny Boy as a tour guide. He is funny, charismatic, and very knowledgeable with all facts pertaining to his beautiful home of St. Lucia. We were the envy of all guests at the sulfur baths as he became a true Picasso and took the time to assist us with decorating ourselves creating a work of art using the mud as the paint and our bodies as the canvas. We had an amazing time with Danny Boy and would highly recommend him and can guarantee you will experience a 5 star tour.Written 3 April 2024
- 666lindsayr0 contributionsDanny Boy ToursDanny Boy was an amazing tour guide! He picked us up from our villa an hour away, drove us to the pitons for our hike (our gros piton hike guide Kaiser was very good, professional and awesome to chat to). Kaiser also took us to both view points where some guides do not take guests! Danny then picked us up, drove us to Canaries, then to the water falls, then to the sulphate springs and decorated us with mud, also took TONS of photos of us which we wouldn’t have been able to capture ourselves and then he let us stop at the grocery store, got us snacks, and then drove us home. Not once did he make us uncomfortable or rushed! Excellent experience & he got us a great tour guide to hike us up the gros piton mountain!Written 31 January 2024

We did the Gran Piton Hike excursion with ride by Danny Boy from St. Lucia experience. it was a great day. Danny boy was the best guide for the 1.5 hour drive from the North of the island. He gave us great information and was alot of fun. I was clear that we would have a separate guide that the Park Service provides and everyone who climbs the Piton must pay a certified guide which is included in the Park Fee.of $ 50 per person. ( they take credit cards) but any other vendors in park for drinks and souvenirs do not and good to have some cash to tip hiking guide
As we were coming from North we asked to stop at a restaurant on the way back for lunch and Danny boy took us to a local place that had great view of the Pitons and had authentic local dishes. I understood that this might be extra time and I was willing to pay for this but he was very flexible. I think anyone going should just work out arrangements as if you come from North good to see this region around Pitons in South as long way to come back and you will want lunch for sure. I was thinking of going to one of fancy resorts nearby but Danny suggested a more local place and very happy we did this.
All in all a great day and compared to some other tour guides I had on trip Danny Boy was by far the best and really has a great knowledge of the country and is just an honest hardworking fun man that is a guide and not just transport which you would basically pay the same price to a taxi that is not a guide
Hike is tough due to lots of rock on path that make climb and going down harder but really depends on person. Anyone who does mountain hiking can do if in good health but is real hike, but in my onion totally worth it. I will say that if you can only make to halfway point there is a great view and worth going and takes half the time so you do have option to stop at that point
Again great trip and great guide

Dannyboy is truly a walking encyclopedia of all things St. Lucia and the unofficial Mayor of the Island. We learned so much about St. Lucia during our safe and comfortable excursion that started at 6:15am and ended at 6:30pm!
We started out with a successful climb of Gros Piton. It’s definitely a challenging climb….bring replenishments in addition to Dannyboy’s supplied water…you’ll need it! Even the mountain guides bring a little food/snack for themselves.
We then arranged a custom tour of the sulfur/mud baths, waterfall, Marigot Bay, Castries and Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Along the way we saw 5 fishing villages, two towns, one city, and a close up and personal banana farm education….each uniquely distinct and beautiful….all accompanied by fun facts and historical references from Dannyboy which made the experiences all that more memorable. We also stopped for a delicious local grab-and-go lunch.
Cathy, Dannyboy’s wife and business partner, made sure the back office experience (scheduling, timing, payment) was smooth and efficient.
Dannyboy, thank you for a wonderful experience…..your incredible energy and love of St. Lucia is nothing short of fantastic!!! I hope you actually do run for mayor one day and put your “PhD” to work! Good vibes!!

Where to start! I guess I first will say I read reviews here which is what led me to book with Dannyboy. From the start of my reservation they were very responsive, helpful and prompt to respond. Our hike was to start at 6AM. We booked a the Gros Piton hike and were planning to do the mudbath sulfur springs on the way down. To start the day Danny was upbeat positive and honestly just a joy to be around with his happy personality. Our hotel was an hour and half from the hike. As we made our way to the hike I quickly realized Danny was a wealth of knowledge. He shared so much history about the island and truly was such a great teacher. When I travel to other countries I try to soak up as much as I can about the culture and the area. Danny did such a wonderful job in giving us this experience on our tour. Some very memorable moments we had on his tour.... the fresh bananas he bought us on the way (which were the best I have honestly every tasted), the bottled water for our hike, the Piton Beer he got us to enjoy after the hike, stopping on the way home to pick fresh mangos (not just once but twice for the experience for our daughters), the restaurant recommendations, the many history lesson's, jokes and riddles on the way home, he and my daughter having a conversation in french which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. If this was not enough he truly made the experience at the mud bath - he was so interactive with us which really made our experience! We all walked away saying how Danny Boy was amazing and he made our day! It really has been the highlight of our week.
And to top it off after he dropped us off he some locals that were working at our resort to bring us back a fresh coconut they had just cut. He gave us a new experience of Saint Lucia and we have a new love for this island. My daughter's quote of the day "He was GREAT, I absolutely love this place and today was the best day yet".

This was the most expensive taxi I’ve ever taken. It’s pretty much a ride to and from the pitons. We paid so much money thinking that it included the park fee. I was my fault for not verifying the small print. But this shouldn’t be advertised as any type of tour. We didn’t get a small tour of the island with any history or information. Our driver was so nice and it’s not his fault, he’s just an employee of the company. But it’s shameful that they advertise this like a hike to the pitons when all it is, is an expensive cab ride to the entrance of the park. We paid $195 for the ride and then they charge you and additional $50 per person for the park. I was upset at myself for letting myself and my friends get ripped off.

Hello Jessica,
I would like to take this time to thank you for your review and to say that we appreciate your honest feedback.
However, we would like to shed light on some of your comments. The entrance fee not being included, is and has never been in " small print" This is stated under Inclusions & Exclusions, also stated in the basic description of the product and also under ticketing information. This would be pretty hard to miss when booking.
It would also be difficult for us to put a price next each hotel separately, hence why we broke it down to 3 separate locations. With the south east location being the cheapest option. Please bare in mind, as well, that our services are listed with Viator, which involves them being paid a commission. Now, we also understand the distance maybe short, but there are hotels which are further off. In addition, if we are made aware that you rented a vehicle, we suggest to you to drive yourself and cancel with us. At times, we also use our discretion in certain situations to also pay the entrance fees for one person or two persons out of pocket.
Lastly, the drive also includes your driver sharing some valuable information with you about our island so as not to make the drive boring. It just so happens, that not all of our drivers do this. Which is mainly why Dannyboy does majority of the tours himself.
So I am truly sorry if you felt that you were 'ripped off" as this is certainly not what we are about or stand for. We wish you all the best and Happy Holidays!

Excellent experience. Danny Boy is a great driver and tour guide, and we had Cameron as the guide on our hike. He was so calm and laid back while also being informative during both our ascent and descent, it made the entire hike go by like a breeze. Vistas were absolutely breathtaking. If you’re a hiker, take this stunning hike.

This was definitely a strenuous hike - lots of scrambling, stepping along rocks. We had a bit of rain so that made for muddy, slippery conditions.
Views are beautiful - even at halfway point.
Danny was our driver who was amusing and knowledgeable about the island - on time to pick us up and bring us back. Very reliable.

Danny Boy was amazing and had I gotten the full experience, this would have been a 5 rating.
Danny was great and the small amount of time on the tour up the mountain was lively, fun, and well-guided. But, it was hassle booking for one person (on a solo trip) b/c of a confusing explanation about covering costs of picking up one passenger. Ultimately though, I was in the car for about 28 minutes total and paid full price for a tour (above it actually per the website) that ended up essentially being a very expensive cab ride to and from the Pitons from my hotel. I stayed in Soufriere, about 15 minutes from the downtown portion and could have been picked up prior to the tour for the other passengers headed there, which could have enhanced the experience. I was picked up on the way to the mountain, which only left the experience paid for as the 18/19~ minute ride up the mountain to the entrance. The drop of was quick and uneventful.
This tour pops up automatically on trip advisor, but if you’re staying in the south or in Soufriere, I wouldn’t book it unless you’re arranging a private tour that’s just for you/your group and you’re guaranteed the full experience that way. You can take cabs for the shorter rides. If I came from the north, I’d book it again, but not if I was staying in the south.

Dear Keri,
Thanks for sharing your feedback. We apologize that our service did not satisfy your expectations. We set a high standard for ourselves, and we’re so sorry to hear this was not met in your interaction with our business.
I would just like to say that we wish we had a system in place where we could put a different price based on one's distance from the Piton Hike. But we cannot. Hence why we have set up one standard price for persons from the South of the island (closer to the Pitons), one standard price for South East of the Island and one for the North of the island. We did, however, quote you a discounted price as well.
It is hard to get the true Dannyboy experience when doing a Piton Hike, especially if you are in the south of island, but Dannyboy does do his best to make each and everyone feel welcome.
We hope that if and when you do come back to St.Lucia you will choose our Explore St.Lucia tour then you will really get to experience our true hospitality and Dannyboy's excited, passionate and humorous nature.
All the best. Good Vibes!

The hike was fantastic, and the guide was very helpful. It was a memorable experience overall. However, if I were to do it again, I would arrange for the hotel to provide a shuttle service, which would cost a fraction of the price. The total for two people to hike and transportation was $290. I guess it depends on where you need to be picked up, but for us, we were only 10 minutes from the Piton, so the $190 for the shuttle service is steep.

Danny boy was our driver, he made us feel at ease as soon as we met him, such a wonderful character. His knowledge of St. Lucia is awesome and taught us a lot about the island. His enthusiasm is infectious and he does a wonderful job.
Cannot fault him at all, he looked after us and kept us entertained throughout our journey. Good vibes Danny boy !!
The hike up Gros Piton was moderate to hard, there are a lot of stepping stones and can be a bit slippery on way down if it has been raining (the rain did not last long and was a welcome cooler). I'd say cominig back down is a little tougher than going up, if you can bring a walking pole it would help (there is the option to hire one at the bottom for $5. A lot of the way up you are shaded from sun, once you reach the top there are lovely views. We had asked our guide if it was possible to see Petit Piton from the top but were told no due to the track being unsafe. Our hike guide was just ok, she was on her phone quite a bit and told us to carry on down by ourselves and she would catch up, she didn't make much conversation until we were nearing the end on the way back down. I'd say $50 per person (payable on the way in) is a bit over the top but understand it's their way of earning a living.
If you are into hill walking or climbing it's a must when you visit St. Lucia or you'd probably regret not doing it.
Overall it was a very good tour. We were picked up by a local guide (Danny boy) who was absolutely amazing! Throughout the transfer he told us things about Saint Lucia and the different towns and villages we passed by. After his recommendation we also added a visit to volcanic baths and a waterfall which was amazingly beautiful!
The negative aspect of the experience was the guide, which was mandatory for the hike. She said basically nothing during the hike and was reluctant to answer questions or have any closer conversation. The hike took longer than expected, which was because the guide could not walk very fast. When we passed other guides along the way, we got the impression that most of them didn’t talk to their groups or tell us about the rainforest we walked in.
The trail was very nice, but relatively demanding. In the second half, climbing over boulders is required. It will also be slippery if it rains. I recommend the hike, but one should not expect a guided tour on the way up, but only someone walking next to you.

How is the climate right now? Would you recommend or discourage doing this with a baby? Thx!

Hi,
We have 3 people and are staying at an Airbnb in Charlotte in Castries. Can you pick us up? We do not have a car.
Thank you,

Does this tour include a stop at the mud baths and waterfall? I've read a few different reviews all with different answers!
Thanks!

Will this hike still operate with all the covid restrictions? I will be in St Lucia in Jan 2021 and would love to book this.

We’d like to book this but the form only states what cruise were on, rather than which hotel we are staying at, should we just put our details in the available boxes anyway?

Hey! We are considering this adventure this Friday. We wanted to do it tomorrow but just realized it’s too late to book. We are staying at the Royalton and would need to be picked up from our hotel. We fly out Friday afternoon and wondered if it was possible to bring our luggage (2 suitcases) and find a taxi ride to the airport after the hike. Do you think this could be a possibility?
