What to Expect
There is lots to do in Oslo, and making sure you cover it all in one trip is no small task. By buying your ticket to the popular Koi-Tiki museum ahead of time, you'll save time and hassle with quick, convenient entry. Take as long as you'd like perusing the exhibits dedicated to Norway's most famous explorer, Thor Heyerdahl, who crossed the Pacific Ocean on the balsa wood raft known as the Koi-Tiki. See the original vessel in the museum, as well as the reed boat Ra and other exhibitions dedicated to the explorer's exploits. Skim through Thor Heyerdahl's library, see an underwater exhibit with a life-size model of a whale shark, and head underground for a cave tour. The ticket also includes access to the noon showing of the Oscar-winning documentary, Kon-Tiki.

The Kon-Tiki museum can be reached by bus 30 from the city area, and it gave an interesting insight into the life of Thor Heyerdahl and his adventures. However, the entry price seemed a bit steep (120NOK for adults) compared to the other nearby museums...More

I read the books at school and was very interested to see the original rafts. We visited on the Oslo card after the Fram museum. Kon-Tiki takes less time and we spent 40 minutes right up to closing time before getting te ferry back.

We used the Hop on Hop Off bus. It was convenient to our hotel and quite inexpensive. Love the Hop on Hop off buses.
