Less than ten hours after arriving in Oslo, we started off with this two-hour cruise and it was perfect! It gives an excellent intro to Oslo and the main sites before heading out into the fjord to see the many islands where locals have summer houses. I was expecting to go in one of those canal cruisers like you see all over Amsterdam so I was thrilled when we had a beautiful (although a bit chilly) April morning and we boarded an refurbished old fishing boat that just oozed character. They have a narrative in English that gave a little bit of information and their staff had answers to the couple of questions I had. If it is on the cooler side the day you cruise, I would suggest you sit on the main deck - I ventured up on the poop deck in the back and the wind was brutal up there when we were out on the fjord (for ME, it would not have been worth the better visual perspective from up on top).

A nice way to spend a few hours in Oslo, some lovely views from the boat. Booking was simple and the crew were friendly.

I'd recommend trying the hot wine on board, it's very tasty.

Also, wrap up warm!

The crew of the boat were very helpful and welcoming - we were given blankets (do wrap up warm if winter time) and you could pop into the cabin for a hot drink or food. We couldnt see an awful lot as it was a grey day but still worth the trip. We got off to then go around some of the boat museums and took a bus from there back into town. On a summer day I bet it is lovely!

Definitely recommend arriving a few minutes before expected board time to guarantee a good spot on the boat. The tour is nice and you get to see Oslo from the water, can’t be beat. The weather was also perfect, sunny and low winds.

Did the cruise with my wife and 2 small kids. Was very nice. The views are great. The ship was full, but didn’t feel too crowded. Really enjoyed it and got off at the museums stop to go see the museum and took a bus back to the city.
Highly recommend.

It was a relaxing cruise in a beautiful old style ship along the breathtaking Oslo Fjord.
The price was reasonable, really good value for money.
The ship was spacious, safe, clean, well maintained and looked historic. Sailing in it was a trip back in time.
The commentary was informative, succinct and gave just enough information about the city and nearby islands.
The staff were all really nice, polite, interactive, welcoming, multilingual, and with excellent customer service skills.
All in all, a wonderful experience and one of the very best things to do in Oslo.

Looking for something to do on a very cold day in January, take a boat trip for 2 hours go past the Opera house and various other landmarks, located on pier 2 opposit the Oslo city hall, we already had a Oslo pass so qualified for a 15% discount, senior and child discounts also apply. Plenty of seats available, make sure you have your thermals on! Blankets are available. Hot drinks also available to purchase, hot chocolate was very good, be warned a few steep steps to get to small cafe area. Landmarks pointed out whilst going along, lovely scenery, well worth the trip out.

It's not the most interesting cruise you will ever do. There are some nice sights with some interesting facts, but overall not a must do. There was long periods of time where there were no commentary or sights to see. It's a bit of a time waster if you have run out of things to do.
