Admittedly my wife had contacted them in advance and managed to pull strings (plus we got there half an hour before it started) to ensure that we were sat on the front row, so my view was entirely uninterrupted and I felt practically plugged into the Ensemble, but this really was a staggering event. The opera singers were mesmerising (especially the tenor) and the interplay between them and the other performers (also of the highest quality) was both funny and touching. The pieces were a mix of obvious favourites and lesser known pieces you'll probably not have heard but that you'll definitely enjoy. You can see the setting for yourself by the pictures and, yes, it is really that beautiful. The only negative was a group of tourists who struggled to leave their phones alone or switch them off, as well as another plonker who thought she was good enough to sit at the piano afterwards and rattle out a chord so she could have a photo. Happily, in both these circumstances the staff were polite and firm in ensuring that their behaviour didn't impact on others; the staff here were incredibly polite and it was reassuring to see that they take the service they provide seriously, even if that means challenging someone who doesn't know what a picture of a phone with a cross through it means. This was an evening of good humour, splendid setting and absolutely top quality musicianship. I'd really recommend going.

A few years ago, I came to see this concert with my partner. While in Vienna with my mother and sister, I surprised them with tickets. We were buzzing coming away from the concert. The atmosphere, the calibre of the musicians, the programme, the superb singers (I particularly loved the timbre of the soprano's voice) all combined to make the whole evening entirely enjoyable. So much so, my mother sent me back on our last evening to buy some cds as souvenirs of our "best concert" in Vienna. We went to three concerts in very different venues with very different repertoires on our 3 evenings in Vienna. Although all three were fabulous, this is our favourite. Thank you to all involved xo

We purchased the VIP package which is well worth the cost. We were greeted by a very pleasant staff and escorted to our reserved seats in the front row. The room is beautifully decorated and typical of baroque Viennese style and accoutrements. We loved every moment of the concert. The musicians and singers were perfect in the interpretations of Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Lehar, Grieg, Monti, and Strauss. The musicians and singers were very engaging with the audience and presented a very pleasant and intimate environment. We loved every minute of the concert and will return on our next visit. Perfection.

It was amazing. I really mean that. Absolutely beautiful music and so powerful. Valbona Naku, who led on the violin, was a tour de force but the others were amazing as well. Highly recommended.

What a great experience. We booked the VIP tickets which gave us seats in the front two rows, a CD, and doing in the intermission. We enjoyed the music very much - Norart, Strauss, Vivaldi and more, and the standard of the singers and musisians was excellent. A wonderful night out with will stay in our memories for a long time. Loved it!

This concert was the perfect opportunity to experience the musical culture of Vienna. My husband is not a fan of classical music and thought he would find it boring, however, he admittedly thoroughly enjoyed it, as did I. The setting for the concert was beautiful and very intimate. The musicians seemed to connect with the audience, contributing to an overall nice atmosphere. I must comment as I read some reviews complaining about the quality of music or the venue. Keep in mind, this is a tourist attraction, not the Vienna State Opera, it is meant to entertain people from all walks of life, some with limited knowledge of classical music. If you want to spend a couple of hours in beautiful surroundings, listening to classical music pieces that you are sure to recognize, enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and a nice atmosphere, then this is the perfect attraction for you. The price difference is attributed to where you are seated, with the most expensive tickets (54 Euro) reserved for the front of the room, however the venue is not large and has good acoustics so if you don't want to spend that much, you don't need to.

An intimate private concert of
the Barroque orquestra formed by 1 piano Man, 3 violinists, 1 cello and 1 double bass. In occasions there were also two singers, a woman and a man, sharing the attention with the instruments. It was all very well organized with a few seconds pause after every composition and a bigger pause at the middle of the whole even, with time to drink and stretch your legs. The place had an excellent acoustic and the atmosphere was fantastic. Just all the necessary to appreciate the quality of these excellent musicians.

This was a marvellous experience in the heart of Vienna. A small chamber group along with two fine opera singers did a medley of classical hits. It's a very intimate atmosphere, and there are no bad seats in the small hall. Highly recommended. Even if you haven't booked tickets in advance, check at the venue for availability.

I want to associate myself with the previous comments about this group and venue. This is NOT an orchestra, but an ensemble of five string musicians and a pianist playing something similar to 10 Greatest Hits. The SCHONBORN Palace also has nothing in common with the much larger and better-known Schönbrunner Palace, the spectacular summer home of the Hapsburgs. For this “concert” at the Schonborn, you’re seated in a large room fitted with straight back chairs.

This is more a recital that included two vocal soloists trying to be cute with each other, but nowhere near the quality of the performances that we saw and heard at the Vienna State Opera or at the Kursalon. Save your money and go to a performance at either of those, or to one of the many excellent church concerts held throughout Vienna.

Having only booked a couple of full days in Vienna we booked VIP tickets to the Vienna Baroque Orchestra at the Palais Schonborn. An intimate setting with a wonderful ensemble of music from the Baroque to Romantic period. Mozart, Strauss, Vivaldi and more to please your ears. It's a must do as part of your Vienna visit.
