If you are obsessed with Beauty and the Beast, take this tour!
Nov. 2019
The Admont Abbey library was our main reason for choosing Austria as a vacation destination. It did not disappoint. I feel like I had plenty of time to take all the photos I wanted here, which was much appreciated. Hallstatt was equally as amazing, but very congested with so many tours there. It's a must see!

These tours we booked through this company were all very good. They make plenty of stops (albeit quick stops) during the drive.

Well worth the long drive
Feb. 2020 • Solo
I was picked up from my hotel and taken to the tourist Info center where we loaded up on a big bus. There was a LOT of coughing happening from behind me- so that ride was not enjoyable, especially given the length, but the bus was comfortable and had large windows for sight seeing. The tour guide had to repeat everything twice, once in Russian and once in English. The Library at Admont was worth the trip alone. It’s one of the most stunning places I’ve ever seen. And the small town of Hallstatt, nestled in the middle of the mountains, was gorgeous (got some great shots!). I would’ve liked more time there though. I paid 20 euro for the funicular you the mountain and when we got there the restaurant was not serving food (wish they had told us that before we paid). The view was still nice and I got some nice aerial shots of the lake with the snow-capped mountains in the back. Word of advice- make sure you bring cash! Many of the restaurants and shops there did not accept cards. Overall, worth the money.

Satisfying trip

Nice trip. Went to the Admond abbey first and then moved to Hallstat where we had 2 and a half hours. You don't have enough time for everything so be sure on what you would like to see there!

Great Experience
What can I say? The tour was amazing (even though it was around 13 hours and the most of them in the bus).
Admon Abey has the oldest library and it was snowing :) Hallstatt? A small cold village with cute small shops. The lake was half frozen and thanks god there was no rain to destroy the tour. The tour guide was very helpful and she was giving a nice detour, both in English and Russian!

Unmissable trip
Nov. 2019 • Family
Firstly I would like to say the trip was very well planned and everything was on time as per the itinerary. The driver and guide both were very friendly and helpful. We dared to travel with our 3 year old daughter on this 13 hour long trip but as there were regular stops every couple of hours it wasn’t too bad for her either.

Hallstatt was beautiful with some amazing views from the skywalk. There is a cable car every 15 minutes to take you to the top of the mountain and the views are simply breathtaking from there. Luckily we found great weather on the day even in November so the sky was clear. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone including families with young children.

Good Out of City tour, long day
Oct. 2019 • Friends
Great tour to see Austria country side. Beautiful church and library at the first stop. Hallstatt is crowded but very beautiful. I wasn’t a huge fan of the tour guide - She seemed to be tired or annoyed the whole tour. Very mono-toned and non engaging, which made the long day seem even longer. The alps are beautiful, the history is interesting but I would recommend just staying the night in Hallstatt on the way to Salzburg and enjoying the time in Hallstatt instead of a day tour.

Elena was great!
Oct. 2019
Tour started on time from outside the Albertina and our guide was Elena. She kept us going throughout the day with commentary all during the trip. We couldnt take the a particular bus route through the mountains due to road work but we aint complaining.

Hallstatt was beautiful but with slightly erratic weather. It was raining one second and the sun comes out the next. Recommended to take the funicular to the top, visit salt mine and the boat cruise too. Set aside a day here. If you can, stay the night and visit the opposite side of the lake. It is wonderful.

The drive back was uneventful and we returning after 8pm.

A day trip to Hallstatt from Vienna
Sep. 2019
It was a nice trip to Austrian country side with English speaking guide in the bus. Our lady guide was quite informative and spoke English very well. The stop to Admont Abbey was a great attraction. Though the distance of Hallstatt from Vienna is quite long but the tour was very well planned for the limited hours trip. We enjoyed the trip. Our suggestion to other tourist is that during peak season try to book the trip a day ahead and ask for hotel pick up

Good trip but too long
Aug. 2019 • Family
It is nice to see Hallstatt and Admont valley, but the program is too long with the 02 unnecessary stops on the way back (15 minutes could not be enough for sightseeing at these 02 stops) while the time for Hallstatt is too short for lunch and sightseeing.

Fairytale Land
The winding country road around amazing lakes in Austria takes you through to this Fairytale land which is even more beautiful than its pictures sent round the globe on postcards.

We drove by car and reached there around 11 am; too late to find parking in the two designated car parks in the village itself. Had to turn back and find roadside parking about 1.5 Km away from the centre. But it was a lovely lakeside walk all the way back into the village with many spots from where to take memorable pictures. Lots of tourists but the locals were very pleasant and patient with us all. The village itself with its boutique shops and wonderful restaurants was thoroughly enjoyable.
There is a cable car that takes you up to the salt mines but we did not take it. I think it was a bit too expensive also.
I think this is one of the most picturesque places we have visited and I would recommend it highly for all visitors to this lovely country.
