A very good trip for the price!
The crew are brilliant and are very accommodating.
A lot of reviews say the boat isn't clean and that they rush you around, which you take with a pinch of salt. You are not rushed around but you would hold everyone else up if you take too long.
It's not a luxury cruise but the boat and trip is exactly worth the cost and would definitely recommend to get around the islands.
If you go in colder months, bring warmer clothing as the wind does get cold if you are on the top deck.

More details of the whole trip below....

The boat took us there and provided information on landmarks around us.
They offer food and drink below deck but would only go for drinks as we had a quick bite which was alright but had ants over the tomato sauce.
We arrived in Gozo and wer loaded onto separate mini buses, if you are wary of the virus, your probably best avoiding this part as your sat with 10 other people in full minibus.
Our driver was amazing, he had 2 very cute dogs sitting in the front with him and he was very funny, he dropped us off at the 2 locations, the blue hole and Victoria. Theres enough time to site see and grab an ice-cream but not enough to sit down somewhere.
He also stopped on the way back providing a bonus location near our harbour and provided even more information.
On the way back, we stopped in the blue lagoon which is a gorgeous location! Not many braved it but we did and went in the lagoon in February...
We enjoyed our ride back and our packed lunch, the boat passed some amazing caves and then headed off back to Sliemma which most people were a bit exhausted and the boat rocked them to sleep.

Thank you very much to the crew and team!

We wanted to go on a day tour to Gozo and Comino so we were walking along Sliema promenade and looking for offers. This guy from Luzzu cruises approached us and convinced us to buy a boat trip for the following day (even gave us a discount while we were very indecisive). Next day we got on the boat. Lucky for us we were a little early and got first in line and got to choose the best seats. Later on the boat was fully occupied. The boat ride was nice, they were telling about different locations while we were driving along Malta on the speakers. We stopped at Gozo and a little bus (which was way too small for all of us) drove us to Victoria where we had one hour to explore. That one hour is enough to explore the citadel but is not enough for anything else really. Later we drove to Inland Sea divesite where small boats (6 people in each) took us through the cliffs and caves. This was the spotlight of the whole trip for us! Amazing views and experience!
Later we went back to our cruise and went to Comino island where we had about 2 hours. As beautiful as Blue Lagoon is, it was soooo overcrowded. We got a little dizzy from the cruise ship so we wanted to sit and relax somewhere on the coast. There were some sun beds and umbrellas placed for additional price but all were occupied, other than that there were no place to sit and relax. The weather was scorching hot and the only place where we could find some shade was behind public toilets. So we took a swim in the sea and sat by the toilets until cruise boarded back to Malta. On our way back we were quite tired and got a little seasick (the waves by Gozo are the biggest). I noticed that other bigger cruise ships tend to swim smoother across the big waves, so maybe bare that in mind if you are prone to seasickness, because this ship was quite jumpy).
Other than that is was a great day and definitely worth our money and time!

The boat trip was relaxing with sites of interest along the coast pointed out to us and a good way of seeing the Island from the sea. The staff on board were really lovely. We were glad to have done this trip because the bus (with air con) on Gozo got us straight to main sites without any worries. Visiting Victoria (aka Rabat) we were so glad we went straight up to the Citadel and fortress as it meant we had plenty of time up there to explore. Had we stayed in the square for a coffee first, it might have been too rushed. Time was limited (but enough) at Dwejra bay - make sure you have cash to do the small boat trip option at Dwejra as payment by card is not an option. Comino was lovely for a swim and the waters were beautifully cooling and refreshing.
A great day trip, well organised and timed!
Tip if staying in Valletta - we were glad we walked to find out where the boat from Valletta to Sliema (where you pick up the tour boat) left from as it could be tricky to identify the road down to the quayside. We watched a boat arrive and followed where people came up from.

This is a good value one day excursion to Gozo and Comino.

Starting at Sliema ferries aboard the Lady Shelley, the first stop is Gozo, along the way the captain John Paul pointed out sights of interest along the way.

On landing in Gozo you are met by a fleet of "vintage" mini buses, not quite what we were expecting but it made for an intimate ride. Our driver and guide Victor was a lovely man with wicked sense of humour and good local knowledge. The stop off at Dwejra Bay and the trip by small boat through the cliffs was well worth the €4 each.

On to Victoria for an hours ramble around the capital and then back with Victor to the boat.

On the way back we stopped at Comino for an hour or so where we could ramble all over the small island, it was January so we didn't bother with a swim but it's probably great in the summer.

Then it was back to Sliema, the time taken was from 10:00 to about 5:00 pm, so really good value.

I'd recommend this as good way to see Gozo and Camino if you are on limited time.

We took this cruise (it's really more of a ferry) from Sliema to Gozo stopping at the Blue Lagoon at Comino on the way back.

Most people take the minibus tour around Gozo but we took a taxi from the harbour to the centre of Victoria instead. They reduce the price if you do this which pretty much covers the cost of the taxi. Doing it this way you get far more time in Victoria for lunch and the citadel rather than 2 -3 hours in a minibus which we personally didn't fancy.

We booked our ticket with a Scottish lady, Caroline, on the harbour front at Sliema (all the cruises/ferries go from the same place). She was super helpful explaining the various options and prices etc.

Quite busy on a Saturday in February so you may want to book in advance if you there in the holiday season

Friendly staff but we were told the cruise would be at 50% capacity due to covid however there weren't enough seats on the boat for me and my partner to sit down on the one hour return journey. At gozo we were put on to the "coach" which was a fleet of very small vans/mini-buses with every seat full. Didn't feel like the right thing to do during a pandemic, especially on a tour that was touting their half capacity as a selling point. The Citadel in Victoria was really great but quite rushed. Make sure you pay the extra 4€ to do the caves boat trip at Dwejra, Gozo- it was a highlight. Blue lagoon was horrendously busy and wouldn't really recommend it although when in the water it was lovely for a swim with sand below your feet.

We still had a great time but I wish I'd seen a review like this when we were choosing our tour and we would have picked an alternative.

I would highly recommended Luzzu if looking to go from mainland Malta to Gozo and Comino.

Mario was our street vendor who kindly sorted out tickets at a great price and was very informative.

The boat that day was a glass panelled larger member of the Luzzu fleet that had plenty of top deck seating which was nice for sightseeing on our way past Valletta and up the coast.

The boat was clean and tidy but the bins full to overflowing at the end. I feel that they should have been changed during the return as stuff was falling out and blowing about.

Friendly staff and blooming cheap beer on board.

The bus trip was decent at the other end.

The water slide off the boat was awesome and getting a pineapple cocktail on Comeno was super cool.

Highly recommended.

Must do trip while in Malta. This trip was the best way to see Gozo, learn about the history and get to see Gozo in one day. Great value for the money, the staff is nice/friendly, the music is good, they took us out on the big boat that fits over 100 people with only 9 people. Plenty of room for social distancing. Due to Covid you may be able to get a little bit of discount since they can’t do open bar. Swimming in the blue lagoon was amazing, still warm in November. Highly recommend. You’ll regret not going.

Nice boat trip, best way to visit the two islands of Gozo and Comino in one day. I paid 35 EUR online, if you go to their shop and you buy it in person you can get a lower price (I saw people paid 30 or even 25 EUR).

Social distancing was not enforced at all during the whole tour against any law and logic.
Full capacity on the boat (at least upstairs), no obligation to wear a mask (or at least it was not required by the staff: only the staff and some scared tourists were wearing it - including me and my girlfriend). A reckless day of joy for dozens of tourists coming from all over Europe (including countries undergoing major COVID outbreaks).
However the worst part has been the sightseeing tour in Gozo: here 15 people have been put in a minivan without any idea related to the concept of social distancing. If mismanaging the behaviour of some British kids and French families without masks on a boat could be OK, here the tour operator had a truly criminal intent in putting all this tourists' flesh together in a van without a centimetre of space between each body.

In normal times this would have been a nice touristy thing, in Corona times this experience was about to become a nightmare. The tour operator should be ashamed for this irresposible behaviour that is attempting the health of their customers, of their staff and of themselves and ultimately the public health of Malta.

Dear Robberto_ms, I would like to thank you for your review. We feel sorry that you did not have good experience with us and we would have appreciated it more if you spoke to one of the crew onboard so that they could help make your day easier/better. I wish to clarify a few points, the total capacity Of the boat is 250 and we have reduced this capacity by 60% so this means that 100 passengers are allowed onboard. So to write that we allowed full capacity and didn’t respect Covid 19 measures is totally not the case. Regarding the price, this depends on which cruise you opt for, there is the Comino Day Cruise which cost €20, the Gozo Direct Full day cruise cost €25 and the Gozo Comino and Blue lagoon cruise cost €35. Hope that you have enjoyed your stay in Malta. Kind Regards Luzzu Cruises

When visiting Malta a trip to Comino and the blue lagoon is a must! I wasn’t that impressed of Gozo, but it was a nice extra. The crew was super, super friendly and helpful. We even saw two dolphins in the sea :)
Unfortunately it was super windy and wavy that’s why half of the boat had to throw up… Including myself. So
I wouldn’t recommend the trip if you get seasick easily!!!
The crew even explained to me that this is normal that lots of people are throwing up on the way to Comino, so I would recommend a light breakfast before going on board.
During the whole trip the crew was busy with giving paperbags and lemons to the people puking…
But I could not have asked for a more caring boat crew!
Still an experience you won’t forget :)
