We did 4 days Svaneti trek with Highlander travels & we loved it. Gist of our review is as below: 1. The trek was very nice. Very scenic. Would definitely recommend the same wholeheartedly. The views of Tetnuldi & Skhara glacier were heavenly. The river crossing experience was also very unique. 2. Our guide Nini was fabulous. She is very knowledgeable, considerate, courteous & went out of her way to ensure our well-being. We were indeed fortunate to have a guide like her. 3. All the places where we stayed at Jabeshi, Adishi, Iprali & Mestia were excellent & we are totally happy. Especially the lady host at Jabeshi was very nice...so were our hosts at Mestia. 4. The food at every place was gorgeous. Highly recommend the food at Jabeshi & Mestia. It was out of this world. One minor irritant was that we expected internet connectivity at Mestia being a tourist town. But to our disappointment, the guest house didn't have one. We had to rely upon hotspot provided by the host, which was very weak & didn't serve any purpose. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our Svaneti trek with Nini as our tour guide & will recommend it wholeheartedly.

Amazing horse trip from Mestia to Ushguli 3 days. Great guide, magnificent nature and great hosts along the way.

Booked this trip from NZ and was very happy with the trek. Jabba our guide spoke good English and was informative and helpful. Fantastic mountain views with no shortage of rock and ice but for me the highlights were the alpine flowers and the 1000 year old towers. All in all a good 4 day hike and the option of the vehicle from Aldishi to Ulgushi followed by the glacier walk was a good one.

We booked a four-day hiking tour from Mestia to Ushguli with Highlander Travel and did not know what to expect at first. We corresponded with Highlander Travel via email before we arrived in Georgia, and the agency answered all of our questions, and took care of all of our requests. It also arranged for a private car that took us from Tabilisi to Mestia (our driver Nick was great). Our hike from Mestia to Ushguli exceeded all of our expectations. Our guide Lasha was extremely knowledgeable and reliable. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Our hiking trip was well-organized and included some of the most beautiful views we have ever seen. We highly recommend both Highlander Travel and our amazing guide Lasha.

We visited Georgia in August of 2018 and one of our destination was Upper Svanetia. Me and a friend decided to book a hiking tour in Svaneti and after some internet research we came across Highlander Travel. We liked the fact that they rely on local guides, and so we immediately decided to get in touch and book the 4 days Classical Hiking Tour from Mestia to Ushguli. Our communication with the agency was smooth and very efficient, and we were given all the necessary information about costs, accommodation, schedule etc . The hike was the highlight of our trip to Georgia: amazing landscapes and monuments, beautiful nature, homely villages and cozy guesthouses each offering delicious homemade food. We had an absolutely amazing experience also largely thanks to our guide Beqa who was not only incredibly knowledgeable about Svaneti region and told us many stories involving local villages as well as his own family, guiding us to many beautiful places, but was also a great person to spend time with and talk to. He would always make sure to give us enough breaks during the hike and adjust the tour to our needs.
