We (2 couples) flew to Iceland in November 2019. I had corresponded with airport taxi and had arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and to take us on day trips for the following three days and then return us to the airport on the 5th day. We were absolutely blessed to have Dimmi Derti who was our driver the entire time! This man treated us like good friends and took us to places we never would have gotten to on a bus tour. He was punctual everyday. Always willing to accomodate us. One of the travellers had a very bad foot problem and Dimmi would drop of as close as possible to every attraction. We were pampered tourists for sure. His vehicle is absolutely immaculate. You truly will not find anyone any better. Ask for Dimmi. You are guaranteed to enjoy Iceland if you have him as your driver!

We booked this tour to take us to the Lava Falls and to the "Into the Glacier" ICE Cave. Fridjon (our tour guide) was the amazing. He was so knowledgeable about Iceland and its history. We could not have asked for anyone better. If you have the opportunity to book Fridjon as your guide on this journey, please do it. You will not be sorry.

We booked this airport transfer (both to and from the airport) and it honestly made our lives so much easier! Our driver (Fridjon) was waiting for us when we arrived and was ready a few minutes early for our return trip. He even gave us some great travel tips when we arrived. Very clean car and reliable transport. Excellent start and end to the trip!

We booked this service both from and to the airport. I was traveling with my parents and wanted everything to go smoothly, and didn't want to have to figure out the different buses and connections with them. Fridjon was wonderful! He was there waiting for us in airport arrivals and very patient - he even waited for us to grab a coffee and watched our luggage while we did so. He was a great, safe driver and he is also a tour operator, so gave us lots of information and answered our questions both ways on the drive. We would HIGHLY recommend him and this service.

My father and I had an amazing experience exploring Reykjavik with Fridjon as our tour guide! We travelled to Iceland this last weekend but were only staying for 3 days and we wanted to make the most of our experience. A top priority of ours was to book a private tour with a local so that we could learn the most- not only about the tourist attractions in Reykjavik- but also about Icelandic food and culture from an expert. Fridjon was a perfect fit for us! We enjoyed his sense of humor and knowledge about the history and folklore of Iceland. The tour felt personal because he took us to his favorite coffee shop and the church he got married in, and recommended foods that he liked. He has a wonderful sense of humor, and he joked and chatted with us throughout the day. The tour was centered around what we were interested in, and Fridjon was able to make the most of our time in Reykjavik. It truly felt as though we were traveling with a good friend, not a tour guide, which is exactly the type of experience we were looking for. I highly recommend booking a tour while here, and I highly recommend Fridjon as a guide if you enjoy joking around and learning about Iceland from the perspective of a local. I had such a great experience that I am already planning another trip to Iceland to show my mom and sister. After my tour with Fridjon I am knowledgable enough to explore Reykjavik and show my family around by myself, but I will probably book another tour just because I had so much fun.

The minute I booked the airport transfer via TripAdvisor, I received a text from the company testing my cell number, but also confirming the reservation via text. While still in San Francisco, another text confirming pick up the next day. I didn't have to do any confirmation calling and sure enough, our driver was there with my name on a Sign and we were on our way! Well Worth the cost to transfer smoothly to the hotel!

We reserved the private round trip transfer to Reykjavik for 4 adults. The driver was friendly and met us right after we picked up our bags. The vehicle was a nice size, clean and fit all of our luggage. We had an early morning flight and our driver was in the lobby of our hotel ready to go right after we checked out. The private transfer was worth the money and allowed us to get an extra hour or 2 in Reykjavik on our first day and allowed us to sleep an extra hour before heading to the airport when comparing to larger group transport options. Definitely recommend!

Fridjon was the absolute BEST! He was a full service tour guide from start to finish. He picked up 13 of us at the airport and was so lucky to get to spend the next 5 days with us. Day 1 we visited the Viking Museum and got to experience the Blue Lagoon. Day 2 we traveled the Golden Circle, got to see the Geyser, had lunch at a beautiful tomato farm and swam in the secret Lagoon. Day 3 we took a day off and bar-crawled through Reykjavik. Day 4 continued with a tour of the South Coast. This included the Black Sand Beach and many breathtaking waterfalls. This trip was the experience of a lifetime and I would highly recommend it and Fridjon any day!!!

Fridjon picked up 13 family members at the airport and entertained us for 5 days. He drove us to see the blue lagoon,the golden circle,full day south coast tour,lunch at the tomato's farm, fed some horses, and visited an original sod house. He Is amazing, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. Unfortunately, the northern lights were very faint, but we had a very memorable night anyway. Fridjon filled our family vacation with so many wonderful memories. All 13 of us say, WOW'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂

Fridjon was outstanding! We booked him for travel to and from Keflavik airport to our hotel in Reykjavik. He arranged our visits to the Blue Lagoon as well as suggested a place to have breakfast upon our arrival since we arrived so early. He even took us to a local supermarket so we could buy local foods to take home. Amazing guide and very knowledgeable! We would use his service again in a second!

I took a 3 day tour of the South coast of Iceland with Fridjon as the tour guide. I considered renting a car and taking this tour by myself. I'm very glad I didn't or I would have missed out on all the great commentary and insightful facts about the local culture from a very proud Icelander. Coming to Iceland in January meant very little daylight in which to see the amazing natural wonders the country has to offer. But Fridjon did his best to ensure we saw as much of the beautiful landscape as we could in the 5 lighted hours, while filling the additional hours spent in a dark bus with facts and stories of an amazing nation. I would highly recommend this company if you are considering taking a tour anywhere on the south coast of the island.

We arranged rides to/from the airport and a day-long tour of the golden circle/secret lagoon for 7 people with AirportTaxiTours during our late-December 2018 trip, and everything went perfectly. Very professional service, great commentary, clean car, safe ride, etc. We would have done more tours with AirportTaxiTours/Fridjon if we had additional time, as he was very responsive to questions before our trip and was willing and able to accommodate all of our requests with ease. He is so familiar with options throughout Iceland and what tourists may be considering. We’ve taken plenty of larger bus tours in Iceland too and there is no comparison in terms of quality and service differences between those and a private tour through AirportTaxiTours. If you can afford to spend a little bit more, you will get a lot more value for your money and certainly won’t regret it. AirportTaxiTours/Fridjon will be our first and most likely only choice for our next visit to Iceland. There are more tours and options on their website so those are worth checking out too.

My wife, daughter and I visited Reykjavic/Iceland in November and had Fridjon come receive us at the airport to get us to our hotel, and then back along with a short tour. We hired his company due to their responsiveness to my multiple questions even before going there, and we could tell he was proud of his country, his profession and genuinely wanted to welcome tourists. If anyone is thinking of any of these services (airport transfer, short tour, full day tour or any combination thereof, I would very strongly recommend airporttaxitours. Fridjon is firstly a native Icelander and proud of his country. He spends a lot of time (even if it is not a tour just an airport transfer) on providing highlights of the region, country, the people, his family, the ecology, geothermal activities and other details about the country. He has the passion to spend the extra time to make sure you get what you want out of his tour. Also, his vehicles are very new, clean and comfortable. I've been in private tours in other parts of the world where the vehicle is old/cramped which ruins the experience. And the best part of the private airport pickup and tour is you do not have to wait for others, you go at your pace, and the conversation is centered around your group. Thanks Fridjon for a wonderful time, and we will surely be back!!!

Our Driver was there waiting for us upon arrival,even though we were 25 minutes early. We had pleasant journey to the hotel.and he was chatty/informative.The same driver ,drove us on our return transfer,he came into the hotel to collect us. Top Notch service.

We just finished the Golden Circle Tour with Fridjon and it was amazing! Everyone in our family of 6 (8 year old son, 9 year old daughter, 9 year old son, 14 year old son, my wife, and myself) rated the tour 10/10! Fridjon is extremely knowledgeable, funny, easy to talk to talk to, and very obviously enjoys his craft. The day was all we could ask for, including several extras such as stopping for fresh icecream at a dairy farm, to pet Icelandic horses (don't call them ponies :-)), local restaurant recommendations and Northern Lights sightseeing tips. Not only do you get to see the sights of Iceland, but also a verbal history of Iceland. His goal, which I am 100% sure he accomplishes every time, is for every passenger to come away with a new appreciation of the sights and history of Iceland while also thoroughly enjoying the day. Fridjon is very flexible with tour options and time onsite, as we never felt rushed. Only Golden Circle Tour that I have to also include the Fridheimar Tomato Farm (lunch) and a stop at the Secrete Lagoon. The lunch at Fridheimar was amazing with so many different ways to prepare dishes with tamatoes, including tomato cheesecake and tomato apple pie, which were both excellent, not the mention the best tomato soup you will ever eat. On top of it all, he is a very safe driver. Wifi included, although my kids never used their iPads (which is unbelievable in it of itself), as they were keen to lsiten to Fridjon the entire day. Can't recommend this tour enough!!!
