Southern Coast and Waterfalls Full-Day Bus Tour from Reykjavik
USD 91.41
Take the hassle out of travel planning, and forget worrying about driving conditions, on a tour of Iceland's southern coast. Enjoy a hotel pickup and drop-off, and travel with ease between the area's best spots. Experience the thundering waterfalls of Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss, and walk on the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, all while learning lesser-known info about the culture and history of the region from your guide.
What to Expect
Your tour begins with pickup from your Reykjavík hotel. Settle into the air-conditioned bus for the drive south, passing through the countryside to Skogafoss waterfall.

After snapping some pictures of the thundering 200-foot (60-meter) waterfall (seen in such movies as The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), it's time for a lunch break (own expense) at a local restaurant.

Fueled up, you'll travel east to the black-sand beach of Reynisfjara. Admire the stacks of basalt columns that wall off surrounding cliffs and watch the powerful Atlantic ocean waves crashing onto the shore.

Head back west to Seljalandsfoss waterfall, a 197-foot (60-meter) wall of water that you can actually walk behind—waterproof clothing is recommended. On a clear day, you'll also see the Hekla and Eyjafjallajokull volcanoes and the Westman Islands just offshore. Then, you'll settle back into the bus for the journey back to your Reykjavik hotel.

profits over customer safety and comforts.

Myself, along with 17 other people were crammed on a mini bus for a ten hour tour. The seat I had was broken, the roof leaked, the windshield had a crack in it, and the tires were badly worn. The driver was disinterested. Never again.

A long day but fun

Once leaving Reykjavik the country side was so stark yet beautiful! The waterfalls each had their own unique beauty. The Black Beach was just amazing so dark in color with such bright colors around it. The water was blue green and the waves white wash...More

You should do this!

Can't recommend this enough. The waterfalls were incredible and the black sand beach is a must see. This was one of our absolutely favorite days in Iceland and you should make time for it. We enjoyed it just as much as the Golden Circle. You...More

Great trip, all went smoothly

This was our second trip with Gray Line, and this was also a success. We were collected from bus stop seven right on time. We then transferred to the main bus, which had only around twenty of us so lots of room to stretch out...More
