Overview
Let your inner adventurer out with this 3-hour 'Quad Mad' tour from Reykjavík. Along with your expert adventure guides, ascend Úlfarsell and Hafrafell mountains, zoom over lava fields and go deep into the raw Icelandic wilderness. Drive through otherworldly terrain only passable by these hearty quad bikes into the less-visited Mosfellsbær Valley, marveling at the scenery in the shadow of Esja Mountain. Round-trip transportation from Reykjavík hotels and use of all equipment, including foul weather gear, are included.
What to Expect
Begin your 3-hour adventure with pickup at your lodging in Reykjavík. Climb in to a comfortable tour vehicle and transfer to the tour office, where you'll listen to a safety briefing and orientation to your vehicle. You'll be issued safety gear as well as thermal overalls, rain gear, balaclavas and gloves. Guides are happy to make sure everyone feels comfortable on their ATV, but this tour may be challenging for those who are beginners or novices.

Hop on and zoom off into the wilderness that lies not far from the city limits. Cruise over lava fields and up two local mountains, Úlfarsfell and Hafrafell. Get panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from the peaks; be sure to bring your camera. Ride along the shores of Lake Hafravatn, then head even further afield to the foothills of Esja Mountain. Continue into the Mosfellsbær Valley, only accessible by off-road and all-terrain vehicles, where you'll summit a third mountaintop.

At the conclusion of your adventure, enjoy drop-off at your hotel back in Reykjavík.
