Review of CampEasy - Easy Big X Camper Van I would like to share my experience with the Easy Big X camper van rented from CampEasy during our trip from 28 August to 7 September 2024. We had an incredible time exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland. My family had a wonderful time. The camper van was comfortable, and we created many cherished memories along the way. Although we did not have the chance to meet the CampEasy staff in person, they were very accommodating through email communication. We rented the Luxury 4 x 4 from CampEasy for 17 nights. We did the entire route around Iceland including the Westfjords. We extended our driving out from the typical Ring Road and saw a lot of Iceland in our time there. We made our own itinerary since we were there for longer than most typical rentals, but we utilized the 13-Day CampEasy Self Drive Itinerary as a starting point. CampEasy picked us up at the airport shortly after we arrived and notified them we had our luggage, and drove us to their facility. We watched some instructional videos on a tablet that was also provided to us for our WiFi Hotspot and other functions such as the road conditions, and weather for the trip, and it worked quite well all over the island. We completed signing our rental agreement and were ready to load up our gear. We picked up all of our "extras" in their storage area where they were stored on shelves, designated by our name, and ready to load up into the campervan. We were on the road in about 90 minutes after arriving. We had originally reserved a Viking 4 x 4 Camper last year, but were offered an upgrade to the new Luxury 4 x 4 Campervan while they were being developed and made. There were many added features that we enjoyed. It was just me and my wife in the Campervan, and it was fantastic. The Luxury is set up for a maximum of 3, so there was much more room, and headroom without the overhead bunk that is in the Viking 4 x 4 campervan, which is designed for a maximum of 5. The Luxury 4 x 4 also had a built-in sink and two burner propane stove. We used the stove many times for our meals. There were two 12V "refrigerated" iceboxes, and we had plenty of space for keepin all of our cold foods. The Luxury 4 x 4 drove well, and was more than comfortable to ride and sleep in for the two if us. The built-in heater worked very well, and since it was cooler than normal during our stay, we utilized it many nights. We mostly used electrical hook-ups in the campgrounds, but did spend one night without externl electricity, and the batteries were more than sufficient. The power panel was set up well, and there were many outlets for USB, 12V and 220V in the camper. The campervan’s onboard display on the dash was capable of using AndroidAuto, and we used that with our Galaxy S24 phones via Bluetooth and Google maps for our driving routes, we had made our own Google Maps for each day of our travels before we arrived. The Campervan never had any issues for our entire rental. We drove approximately 2,200 miles during our trip. It was diesel powered, so our fuel cost was slightly less than it would have been for gasoline After returning the Campervan, CampEasy provided us with a shuttle ride to a hotel near the airport, we elected to spend our last night in a hotel since we had an early morning departure the next day. Our overall experience with the rental, communication before we arrived and the campervan from CampEasy was fantastic, and we would highly recommend them. We may go back to Iceland again someday in the late fall or early winter to see Iceland in a different perspective, and would gladly rent from CampEasy again.

Incredible landscapes and nature on our tour around Iceland. We recommend the highlands and the southern part as most beautiful.

They can be renamed to campdifficult with terrible communication. Found they had an event of a photography ring road tour and wanted to ask some questions via their chatbot on Aug 15. No reply forever (until today) Then a few days later I decided to book that tour anyway with a few nice things that were mentioned like ice cave tour included, campsites included, photography tour, access to highland during winter was also mentioned Then on Aug 22 I have received an email from them saying my trip was cancelled due to lack of participants and would offer me 50% off to go solo. I asked about a few essential questions about how to go solo and how to follow the original itineray and if those campsites were included etc and never got followed up. I found my booking number was invalid after I got cancelled and I didn't even know how much I paid. I waited and waited for 3 weeks and chased again and got no reply. I had to use the live chat and asked to raise a ticket again. Then this time the related person replied and did not even look at my questions if those were included. I asked about the 4x4 to highland part of the original booking (which I didn't know how could I go there in winter times) and what I got was a link to the road condition........... I asked for cancellation again the live agent said they don't take my response and it should take 24-48 hours for my cancellation feedback...... well I finally got the cancellation reply from the original person saying he just missed a couple of hours replying... I really had enough of them

Had a really good time, the Tesla Y was amazing. Felt safe the whole trip. Will definitely rent with campeasy again, when im coming back to Iceland.

Iceland: Definitely another planet. You cannot express in words the experiences of a trip on the Ring Road. We had the best option to visit and live in our second home: a VW campervan. All the services, starting with the pick-up from the airport, handing over the car, the necessary equipment, the support provided on chat or e-mail... I consider them 5 out of 5. You get everything you need from the first day, warm duvets, utensils for preparing the meal, everything you need for a wonderful trip. THANK YOU CampEasy !

We had the 'Easy Fun', which was perfect for a couple. It was easy to drive and had everything we needed for our Iceland trip, including a fridge and a good heating. We slept very well, which was due to the warm bedding, the darkened windows and the curtains. Take over and drop off of our campervan was after business hours. Everything was perfectly described and went very smooth. And when we had an accident (somebody drove into us in a parking lot), communication by phone and with the tablet, that was provided, worked very well, and we could continue our trip. Thanks a lot CampEasy for an unforgettable journey!

Brilliant company to use! Used twice now and both times have been the best. Lovely staff & will help anytime. Comfy campers equipped with everything you need. Heater is brilliant also for them chilly nights!🌟🌟

The van was amazing! Brand new and super clean, drives very smooth. The heating system was a must as it gets very chilly after midnight even in the summer. The wifi from the tablet can be very helpful at times. Natalia was awesome she helped us with everything we needed! I would definitely book CampEasy Iceland the next time!

We spent 14 days in July 2024 discovering Iceland (3000km in total). We had a great time in our nearly new campervan "Easyfun" (less than 40.000km) which was very well finished and equipped, cosy and easily manageable . We had everything we needed for cooking and sleeping, and the tablet provided with information on weather, roads, places to see, etc, was convenient. It has been a wonderful experience and we recommend Campeay to our fiends without any doubt. Campeasy Easyfun is supposed to be for 3 persons but I would not recommend it (unless for 3 young adults happy to be packed like sardines in bed ;-)). It was however perfect for two. Campeasy agents (Florentina for the pick-up and Dawid for the drop-off) were really nice and helpful. The airport pickup and hotel drop off is much appreciated. We hope to come back to Iceland with Campeasy as soon as possible!
