Itinerary

Day 1: Train from Helsinki to Turku

Pass By: Turku Cathedral, Tuomiokirkonkatu 1, Turku 20500 Finland
We kindly ask you to arrive at our office at 9:00 in the morning, so we can prepare your e-bikes. When everything is ready, you will cycle to Pasila railway station about 2 km south. Get on the train with the bikes and enjoy the ride for 1,5 hours to Turku central railway station. Then hop on your e-bikes and start exploring Turku. We have designed a nice route for you, including green parks, good lunch restaurants and other interesting sights. In the afternoon check into your hotel. Relax for a while and then head for town center and the River Aura which flows through it. Excellent eating and drinking here. On a sunny day, the river boats are packed with people having a good time. Overnight in Turku.

No meals included on this day.
Accommodation included: Hotel in Turku

Day 2: Feel the Baltic Sea

Pass By: Nauvo Church, Kirkkovalli 1, 21660 Nauvo, Finland
After a good breakfast, pack your e-bikes and cycle down to the river. From here starts your first boat ride, down the river and into the Baltic Sea. Enjoy the lush island scenery. After a few hours you will arrive in Nauvo harbour. It is a lively place and worth a leisurely walk. Continue west along quiet gravel roads. Visit Tackork berry farm, specialised in hand-made gourmet berry products. Then take a ferry (continuous) to Korppoo island. There are restaurants in town centre and in Verkan harbour. Overnight in Nauvo or Korppoo.

Day 3: Island hopping by bike continues

Pass By: Houtskar Church, St Andreas vag 18, Houtskar Island 21760 Finland
Ferry to Houtskär island leaves from Galtby harbour. There is small kiosk if you have to wait a bit. The crossing is about 30 min. Houtskär is actually a group of islands with Näsby being the main village. There you will find a restaurant, grocery and beach. Visit the wooden church from 1703 and sit on the old benches and imagine how life was here hundreds of years ago. For more concrete info on days gone by, visit the museum which displays household artefacts, old boats and motors. In the afternoon hop on the ferry to Iniö islands. The crossing is about 1 hour. Iniö is smaller and more remote compared to previous islands. Only 200 people live here year around. Of the 1000 small islands which comprise Iniö, only 10 are inhabited. There are some services by the yachting harbour. Mainly Iniö is about nature; cycle the small gravel roads and enjoy the varied scenery. The old boat houses and piers just ooze history of this former fishing community. Overnight in Iniö.

It tells the story of the local community, where seafaring and fishing always set the pace of life.
