    Magical Escape at Tivoli Gardens
Visiting Tivoli Gardens was one of my most memorable experiences in Denmark. I felt like I stepped into a fairy tale when I entered the park. I loved the blend of classic charm and modern excitement throughout the grounds. The rides were fun, and the atmosphere was both lively and welcoming. I enjoyed quiet moments by the lake and heart-pounding thrills on the roller coaster. I think the park has something special for every kind of traveler, whether you are with family, friends, or on your own. I spent hours wandering the beautifully decorated paths, enjoying festive music and enchanting lights. It truly felt like a magical escape from everyday life. I left Tivoli Gardens feeling inspired and completely joyful.

    Fun like Heaven
It’s really fun in Tivoli, there’s lots of food, rides and such. You should really try it! Everyone is so nice and friendly, the food is great, the rides are greater, the history behind them are also good. Here are some recommendations, The Roller Coaster, The Flying Trampolines, The Demon, The Ferris Wheel (Vertigo), The Dragon Boat, The Golden Tower and The Tea Cups. I hope you enjoy it!! (Don’t eat food before going on a ride)

What a fun place to be!
I went to Tivoli during the Halloween week and it was such a fun place to be! There were a lot of Halloween decorations and the lights make the place just seem so magical. My friends and I enjoyed the park very much.

    Enchanting evening
The twinkling lights, charming rides, and lush gardens felt like stepping into a storybook. The atmosphere was magical, and the live music added to the romance. It’s the perfect spot for a date night in Copenhagen. We left with smiles and unforgettable memories!

    Felt We Got Ripped Off
After dragging our kids through a long day of sightseeing, we wanted to reward them with an evening at Tivoli. They were very excited to take on all of the rides and we planned to try them all. Unfortunately, the park shut down all of their rides an hour before closing because they were putting on some sort of show. We had no idea, nor had we been informed by staff. Luckily the kids got to do most of the rides, but for the price you pay, we felt like we got ripped off. I contacted Tivoli customer service and they told me that because the kids had gone on a certain number of rides, they were not willing to offer any compensation. How the number of rides the kids went on factors into whether they believe you're owed compensation left me bewildered. We thought we were paying to be able to go on rides for a certain amount of time and they cut that short. It was a lot of fun. Just make sure you're aware of the hours before you go.

We spent a fun few hours here - the gardens are beautiful and the rides are great! Not too pricey although food and drinks are on the expensive side.

    Worth visiting with children
A really good place to visit. However it really is for young people as it basically is fun fair. The gardens are beautiful and there are some great restaurants. The food hall is a great experience for choice of food.

    A must visit in Copenhagen
Tivoli Gardens was fabulous. Staff were all very helpful and welcoming, the rides were varied and the choice of restaurants and drinks venues were dotted all over. The aquarium was a great benefit as the free pass ride allowed. Would thoroughly recommend this place!

Beautiful grounds and fun for all ages.
Tivoli Gardens is truly a 5* attraction in the centre of Copenhagen because of its amazing staff, beautiful grounds and the fact that it has something for all ages. We visited on a cold, dry day in January and appreciated the fact that there were opportunities to stop and have something to eat, have a break from the cold, and recharge to enjoy all it has to offer. We visited with a 3 year old and there were about 15 rides that she was able to go on. Many rides are listed with a solo rider in mind so worth checking the height requirements when accompanied by an adult as this opens up many more thrill rides. Our daughter’s favourites were The Galley Ships and The Roller Coaster, both had minimal queues and lasted for a good amount of time. Tip: Tivoli app allows you to scan your ride photo (via QR) to get a free download. Excellent feature.

Visited tivoli gardens the day before the park closes until the summer, the park is beautiful a The lights are so pretty and we loved the firefly garden, with teen boys who were looking forward to the rides, we were disappointed that two of the rollercoasters were closed and a couple of other rides, maybe they are winding down to closing but still paid the full amount x

    Superb!
Well worth a visit, we went during the day on New Year’s Eve but it wasn’t too busy, the rides looked fabulous although we didn’t go on any. Lots of cabins for gifts & places to eat. Great atmosphere & we were able to return in the evening.

    Overrated for christmas (on saturday)
The park has plenty of light decorations not just related to christmas. It's pretty but for the price and the amount of people is not worth it. At the end I didn't enjoy, I couldn't see the little christmas stores with so many people eveywhere, and prices are high. At the end for just a christmas market stay outside and visit the many that are in the city

It was a very crowded Friday afternoon, km of queues for the games and for this reason we didn't take the pass but simply paid for a couple of games that we managed to do (the two roller coasters also suitable for teenagers, 50min and the other 30min). There was also a concert and therefore a large crowd, but all in a magnificent context and we never felt "trapped". Highly recommended. Book if you want for dinner because there is a lot of rubbish on offer but the decent restaurants are all full

Loved it special trip to Copenhagen with daughter both of us mature! She wanted the rides I wanted the grounds. We both enjoyed both sides of the park. I even went on some of the scary rides that I have never been brave enough to do and survived! Quite a compact area for all it has but we still managed to spend about 5 hours there till closing time and could have spent longer. You will need longer if at the weekend to allow time for the extra shows and longer queues. The ride pass is worth if you are going to do at least 3 of the big rides and the aquarium is worth a little look see. We were quite lucky that the park wasn’t busy and we didn’t have to wait more than one turn for any of the rides – probably just as well as I may have chickened out. Light show on the lake wasn’t as spectacular as I was expecting but still a nice addition after dark and worth staying to see all the lights especially the pagoda by the lake.

Primary reason for visit? This is one of the oldest 'theme parks' in the world so who wouldn't want to see the place inspired so many others?

Was I expecting much? To be honest no, how do you retain the charm and character of the original park whilst also keeping it up to date to compete with the sprawling parks in Europe and the rest of the world?
Was I disappointed? Absolutely no. Quite the opposite. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was quite surprised at how Tivoli does walk the fine line of nostalgia and being up to date.

What did I like about the park? I loved that you can pay to go in and then only pay for the rides you want to go on. So many parks don't do this. Not everyone wants to ride so it makes perfect sense to charge a flat fee for entry and then have a charging structure for rides. Wish more parks did that. I liked how the park is laid out. It's in the middle of Copenhagen so it's very compact. You can get around it in just a few hours, but the landscaping of the gardens is nice offering interesting vistas of the park as you walk around. As dusk settles and it gets dark the lights really bring a magical quality to the park that is worth hanging around for.
For such a small park there are a surprising number of rides and the rollercoaster is an absolute must if for no reason other than it is over 100 years old!

What did I not like about the park? Not a lot. It was a pleasant and enjoyable experience. As with all theme parks food and drink is very expensive but they are fine with you taking your own light snacks so not a big issue. If you are expecting a white-knuckle extravaganza you will be disappointed. There are only a couple of 'proper' rollercoasters, this is a much more genteel experience and all the better for it in my opinion.

All in all, a lovely way to pass a few hours in a living breathing piece of history.

This is a tough one to really evaluate. The whole reason we went there was for the Christmas markets. You do have to pay 180 Krona just to get in and even for a weekday early evening it was packed. The booths are all run by Tivoli and unlike the numerous other markets in the city, there are no independent booths with handmade items. Many of the items were similar from store to store. This reminded me of being in Disneyland in terms of being in an amusement park with everything self enclosed and expensive. That being said though, if you are there to go on the numerous rides, the experience no doubt would be more enjoyable. So everything is all about perspective and expectations. Enjoy.

One of the oldest amusement parks in Copenhagen. From our point of view moderate level of entertainment, very overpriced. With normal tickets - not even a special offer - you have to pay extra for each ride or attraction. We did the same for the so-called “single”. "Marine aquarium", which actually consisted of only one basin. Not an overly enthusiastic evening, especially since all attractions ceased operations at 10 p.m. due to a concert.

Tivoli is a nice park nestled in the city, but if you visit you need to be aware that nothing there is on sale. Rides cost around 20 EUR per person/ride, the food prices are quite high and the park is actually small. It took us a little over 3 hours to see the whole park. The gardens are well kept and beautiful and the atmosphere is festive.
All in all, if you have the stomach (and the cash) to go on the rides, and you want to see a well-maintained garden area, this is the place.

I visited Tivoli with my family in the busy July period, previously I visited as a child and had fond memories so was excited to go back. Unfortunately, I'm not sure we went at the best time as it was incredibly busy, and expensive!
On the positive side, it is a lovely-looking park, and the rides, although quite old, now look fun. It is an expensive place and the gardens are not a big part of the attraction so I'd recommend only going for that during their themed days (they do the park up nicely for Christmas and Halloween!). We did try to go on some rides, most rides had a wait time of 30 to 60 minutes. I waited in one line for over 30 minutes to be told just before boarding that it was closing due to an issue! I understand it can't be helped during busy periods but the turnover is very slow, it takes a long time to get riders off and on. Then some seats/cars are broken so they are not used, and some seats are left empty as there's no single rider queue, add to that how expensive the rides are and you do find yourself a little disappointed.
I really wouldn't recommend going during peak times, as the park doesn't seem built for it.

This poor review is not for the whole park, just for their 2 Halloween Haunted Houses. The park itself is quite nice and a great place for a family to visit.

They charge extra for each Haunted house , on top of the general park admission. I was extremely excited as I was visiting from Ontario, Canada and have experience with haunted attractions. I could not wait to see what they had done!

I waited in first line for about 40 min and finally it was my turn. I entered and was met by the first scare actor who made no noise but was mildly creepy. The room detailing was fairly good so I had high hopes. I went to the next room with a more energetic actor but it was a smaller space. I entered the third room and was realized that was it. The scare actor must have been on bathroom break as it was empty. The whole thing took about 2 minutes or less. I asked the employee at the exit if the next attraction was any bigger and they said no . I was not going to spend more money and time .

Super disappointing and there is NO WAY they should charge extra for those. Such a shame as they had done nice Halloween decor throughout the park.

We visited Tivoli on a Friday early in December when the Christmas Market was happening.
Be warned the queue grows from around 4pm onwards. The best way to beat the queue is to either buy a ticket from the Box Office located by the entrance, or download the App and buy your tickets online. The App is easy and gives you a QR code for your tickets.
The entrance fee is just that it does not give you access to the rides. You can purchase ride tickets from machines once inside.
Wheelchair and pram access is very good.
Tivoli at Christmas is magical. The area is beautifully decorated with lights hanging from the trees, themed lighting on buildings and along walkways.
The Christmas market area has stalls selling all sorts of goods mixed with food and drink stalls. Fake snow on the roofs and on the branches of Christmas trees adds to the magic. Towards the rear of the gardens you find all the major rides.
Overall it is an excellent attraction in the heart of Copenhagen.

The gardens are beautiful and we had such a fun day, everyone is very friendly. Dropped a star because we decided last minute to go on a couple of rides, which cost approximately £13 each and were really short, not worth the money so buy a rides pass. Also drinks etc really expensive but that is to be expected. We went on Friday, which includes access to the evening concert but it didn’t start until after 10pm and we had been there from midday so did not last the night unfortunately.
