- Bee_Chipstead0 contributionsStunning place and great tourExcellent trip, well organised great driver and brilliant guide. We visited 2 monasteries, both of which were beautiful and not too busy. The women's Monestry was particularly interesting as the nuns were happy to chat. It was a long day but definitely worth the journey to see such a special place. Personally I'd take a picnic as the lunch stop was not my kind of thing. It was an enormous place reminiscent of school lunches! I'd also prefer not to stop half way each way and go somewhere better for lunch where you could choose which restaurant to go to with the extra hour it would save... But others may disagree!Written 2 October 2024
- Wander441649052830 contributionsMust visit Vikos GorgeGreat trip! Must see! Tour guide was great and so was Niko the driver. I would highly recommend visiting Vikos and Zagorohoria for fantastic scenery.Written 30 August 2024
- neilsS1505ES0 contributionsStunning sceneryYvonna the guide was brilliant, so engaging and knowledgeable, I learnt things about the whole area I didn’t know . She made sure we knew what to expect when there and how it worked and the time and place to meet back. The scenery is worth the trip on its own, unbelievable views, you get a chance for a photo stop. The trip is very long, it’s an 10-11 hour day so be prepared, take drinks and some snacks. You make 3 stops, two at the same service station, my tip is fill up on things on the way out because imo the lunch stop isn’t great, we just had a beer and used our supplies, it’s just a big canteen. For me, the only thing I would change is I would knock 10mins off each stop especially if they are not crowded, just so people can be back a bit earlier.Written 28 August 2024
- 590hughj0 contributionsAvoid LefkasAvoid Lefkas Island, they have built so many holiday accomodations without improving the services, there is no water every second day. If you must go there take a chemical toilet !Written 22 August 2024
- Roving5830410 contributionsExcellent ExperienceWe were collected from the bus stop in Agios Nikitas and experienced a luxurious mini bus journey to Vasiliki . The tour guide was extremely friendly and informative. A short water taxi brought us to Agiofili beach. The sea was so clear ,absolutely stunning .Lunch was in a beautiful restaurant in Vasiliki ,a good choice of food and very tasty.Time to wander around the shops and harbour or a little more beach before being transported to the olive oil factory. Here we had an interesting tour of the factory which was very informative and then an opportunity to buy some of the products. All in all we enjoyed an excellent experience with an amazing tour guide . I would highly recommend this tour.Written 16 August 2024
- VickandRich0 contributionsAmazing trip but don’t bother with the restaurant food on the way backBeautiful and stunning scenery and the monasteries are unbelievable. Long journey 2.5 hours roughly from Parga but worth it. Host was amazing from the tour company, so friendly and informative. Only tip and I wish I had followed it is don’t bother with the restaurant food on the way back. You get herded into a huge restaurant with coaches of people and it’s fast, so you don’t have much time to make up your mind, and to be honest the food is over expensive, sweaty stodgy canteen food. Save your money for the many lovely restaurants in Parga where some care goes into what they serve. I paid 26 euros for the driest grisly souvlaki and a tiny bit of salad. The coffee stop on the morning is lovely you can pick up beautiful filo and spinach pie/cakes and sandwiches there if you are hungry. A great day out though other than this. Enjoy!Written 29 June 2024
- MattNortonYorks0 contributionsDisappointingWe went on this trip today. We never stopped as per the itinerary. Never stopped at Port Katsiki at all and was given now reason why. Weather was perfect, so couldn’t have been that. The information was scant, not clear and not loud enough due to so many people chatting. We even got back 35 minutes early. Pros: Bar and food, clean and toilets were clean. Very steady and plenty of room. Cons: Not stopping as planned, rushed at Egremni, islands and points of interest not well explained, long time just sitting on a boat looking at where you could stop. We had hoped to get on three beaches and visit Fiscardo, but we only did some of that. Skipped Porto Katsiki. If you like sitting on a boat just looking for a few hours, it’s good. But disappointing if you want to explore.Written 12 June 2024
- trotter990 contributionsExcellent and well organised tripExcellent, well organised tour with perfect time keeping. Excellent tour guide and driver. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to spend the day with. The tour itself provides the opportunity to see amazing views and scenery and it’s hard to believe what you are seeing. In our opinion it is well worth taking this trip, you also get plenty of breaks for drinks etc but be mindful that it is a full day which is tiring.Written 5 June 2024
- Bogmirtle0 contributionsExcellent trip and activityFantastic to spend a few hours at the Acheron River. Our guide provided lots of interesting information during the minibus trip and got us all in the mood for out great little adventure. The river did not disappoint. - P1BRX0 contributions'Magical' is a justified title.Absolutely breath-taking. The scenery is hard to believe. It looks incredible in pictures, but this does nothing to prepare you for the sheer scale and size of the rock formations. Then, trying to work out how the Monasteries and Nunneries were built on them, several hundreds of years ago, leaves your mind agog. It is sometimes a bit of a trek to actually go inside some of them, but it is definitely worth it. The exhibitions answer some of your questions about the landscape and the building. It can get a little busy with tour buses, so I'd suggest staying nearby and planning early/late visits. The opening times and day for each monastery vary, so plan carefully if you intend to see them all.Written 29 October 2023
- K3024LFstever0 contributionsUnbelievable MeteoraThis tour was a real highlight of our holiday. Even though the day was overcast Meteora, its geology and location is just amazing. A relatively long day but well worth it!Written 28 September 2023
- 980tinab0 contributionsTrip to MeteoraGreat to see and I enjoyed going into the monasteries. Glad I went when the weather wasn’t so hot. Coach was cramped. A long time travelling for a couple of quick photo stops and 45 minutes in 2 monasteries. The lunch stop was awful, 40 mins in a terrible place with overpriced food. No option to go elsewhere. I’d take my own if I went again. Tour guide knowledgeable and a lovely driver.Written 26 September 2023
- PhilippaB1010 contributionsDay trip from Parga August 2023We really enjoyed the trip. It’s a long day, but totally worth it. Our tour leader Yvonna was really informative and friendly and we had a great coach driver in Nikos. Comfort/ refreshment stops were just right, and the recommended restaurant visit for lunch was really good ( fab food) too. We visited two very different monasteries and had ample free time at both. There were also a number of stops for us to take pictures and enjoy the vistas, allowing us to see all of the remaining monasteries. Everything about this trip was good; timings, balance of activities and food/ refreshment stops, information and guidance…good value for money! Would definitely recommend.Written 22 August 2023
- Sherpa8233450 contributionsMagical and worse to doIt was magical place and the trip was super organized. It was long day trip but absolutely it worse to do. We started at 8AM and then start to pick peoples from the meeting points then the trip started officially from around 8:15AM then we visited alot of beautiful places in Meteora and then had a wonderful lunch and then we back around 6PM. Was amazing day and a memorable experienceWritten 22 August 2023
- m0nkeynutz0 contributionsStunning.Long day, but you don't notice it. The scenery on the way there and back, keeps your attention. The monasteries will have you thinking how did they manage that all those years ago, and why did the monks even consider it. Coffee/toilet break on way there and back. Visit two of the six monasteries. Three stop off points to view/photograph the monasteries, and take in the views. Then after all that, lunch where you're invited into the kitchen to make your choice of the days offerings. Yvonne gave out very interesting information on the area, there and back. Also ideas for other trips either by coach or hire car. The bus driver Nikos is very capable and safe. I would highly recommend this trip.Written 16 August 2023
