Sunset Caldera Sailing Cruise
USD 144.67
Overview
Watch the sun sink into the Aegean Sea on a 5-hour sailing cruise from Vlychada Marina to the Santorini caldera. Drop anchor off picture-perfect Red Beach to swim and snorkel in the clear water, and enjoy drinks on deck as you spot rock formations and the Akrotiri lighthouse. At the volcanic caldera, swim in natural hot springs and explore brilliant beaches, then enjoy a fresh BBQ dinner by the shore. Make a final swimming stop at Mesa Pigadia beach before returning to shore.
What to Expect
Departure from Vlychada Marine. We sail through Red Beach, where we make a stop for swimming and/or snorkeling. Then, we sail along White beach and spot the big rock called The Indian (or Mavro Vouno). Passing by Light House (in Akrotiri), we move towards the Volcano. We swim at the Hot Springs, at the Volcano healing hot waters and explore the volcanic beaches and areas of Palea and Nea Kameni, which will amaze you because of their spectacular black, red and white colours. Then, we move to have a view of the other side of the volcano, where while anchored, we enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch or dinner, prepared and served by the crew. Meanwhile, you can swim in the Volcano’s crystal clear blue waters. Afterwards, we sail along Aspronisi island and arrive at Mesa Pigadia beach for swimming, snorkeling or just sunbathing on the deck. Finally, we return to Vlychada Marine.
Included:Transfer from/to hotel, seafood BBQ lunch on board, white local wine, Greek beer, soft drinks, use of snorkeling equipment.

It's real sailing on a monohull - not motoring around on a catamaran

This is perfect if you want to get some real sailing in and swim in the different waters of the Caldera. The two-man crew was friendly and entertaining. They made us a delicious dinner of prawns, spaghetti, salad, potatoes, and bread. We had a fabulous...More

So before I booked I did my research to make sure to pick a company with smaller groups (less than 12 people) not only was this a good small group option but it's one of the only companies that ACTUALLY sails. All the other tourist...More
