If you like wine, local history/culture, great views, and friendly company do yourself a favour and take a trip to Saint Anna winery! Manolis is such a friendly, charismatic guy and his story is a great one to hear.
The tour began with a simple yet incredibly thoughtful touch - he brought everyone in the group (a couple dozen people!) some water in the baking heat, then took the time to shake everybody's hand & ask their names before breaking the ice to the full group with tales of local history. This really set the tone for the experience in my opinion and even though it was only a small detail, it gave you great insight into Manolis' passion for his work.
The wines are exquisite, the food pairings are very well considered, and the pours are generous. Each glass is also accompanied with knowledge about the production & ingredients, and the notes/flavours you can perceive with each smell/taste.
We also arranged a round trip taxi service with someone from the winery on the day of our tour (from our hotel to the winery & back) for a modest & honest fee which we really appreciated. I would suggest not driving yourself to this experience, if you intend to sample the wines properly 😎🍷
You should take cash too, in case you would like to make a purchase as the signal can be a little spotty due to the rural location of the winery.
We look forward to visiting again the next time we make it to Naxos; Manolis has great plans for his winery and we can't wait to see them unfold 😃

This was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, Emmanuel, the owner, and his lovely family made us feel incredibly welcome.
What stood out most was Emmanuel’s genuine passion for winemaking. It’s clear that he loves what he does, and this enthusiasm shines through in every aspect of the tour. He took the time to share his knowledge and the story behind each wine, making the experience both educational and personal. The wines themselves were outstanding—each one more delicious than the last 😋
The thoughtful pairing of snacks with the wine added an extra layer of enjoyment. Each bite complemented the flavors of the wine perfectly, enhancing the tasting experience. It’s evident that a lot of care and attention goes into every detail at Saint Anna’s!
I would highly recommend this experience!

Not only the wine itself was spectacular, but also Emmanuel was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the winemaking process. He eloquently shared his love for the craft and guided us through the creation and tasting of each wine. He also provided beautiful boards of locally produced snacks. He led us through a beautiful vineyard tour and proudly showed us the expertly maintained 9th century church on property. Our 9 person group would recommend to any and every adult group!

The wineyard with a beautiful view, nice garden and a fantastic historical church. The tour itself includes a short tour in the garden, the owner tells his own and wineyard's history and then most importantly provides wines and snacks (from his own garden) for the degustation. All wines have interesting flavours and specific tastes that could only be found on this island.
Dessert wine is one the biggest surprises - the perfect balance of sweetness, acidity and taste.
Taxi from the town to the wineyard costs about 20 eur one way. Thus, I recommend to contact the owner and he will organize the transportation.
Definetly, must visit place for every wine lover!

Amid Naxos' rugged embrace, Saint Anna's vines interlace. Family's hands and science's grace intertwine, crafting wines divine. A beagle whispers, history's trace, in each sip, a timeless space.
Book this and you will get a brief glimpse into harvesting love's fruits from the earth with reverence, honoring history and tradition, intertwining past and present in a bountiful embrace. While incorporating some modern tools, Emmanual melds tradition and technology for refined wines. What they don’t mention is that you are also getting a free extra Virgin olive oil tour and tasting.

Wow!! If I could give more than five stars I would do this. We have arranged a transfer from our hotel and are picked up by the father of Emmanuel. What a very lovely man who was telling us multiple stories during the car trip to the winery. We didn’t start yet but already feel this beautiful experience. After arriving there are a few other people arriving before Emmanuel is joining us. He tell us everything about the grapes, the herb garden and the olive trees. He shows us the equipment and talks about the processes to create the wines. During the little walk and the tasting we feel his enthusiasm and love the way he is telling his story. The wines are very delicious and we enjoy the little snacks with it. After more than two hours it is time to say goodbye. His father and his mother bring us back to our hotel. The car trip is giving us a little extra for our experience because we love the way his parents are so proud and talks to us if we are all friends together.

My wife and I, with two of our friends, visited during our stay on Naxos. We had a blast! We all love wine, and we often go wine tasting at various vineyards (mostly in the US), and this was great because it was unique. It is so very clear that he absolutely loves what he does; this is his passion. And it is so impressive what he is able to accomplish nearly all on his own! His wine was good, the farm was fun, the food was tasty, and the family history was quite the cherry on top. We had such a good time listening to all he had to say, asking him plenty of questions, and tasting his wines. And of course we bought some wine and olives and olive oil to take home, too!
If you are on Naxos, and you even somewhat like wine, I would definitely recommend visiting this winery and doing the tour/tasting combo! All four of us agreed that it was worth every penny, and one of the highlights of our time on the island.

Would highly recommend this as a must do when visiting Naxos. The host is very funny, charismatic and extremely passionate about wine and the business that he has built from scratch is extraordinary. Obviously the wine is excellent. Great value for money and we bought some bottles to take home.

We had an amazing time at Saint Anna Winery. The views were gorgeous as it shows a different side of Naxos than the city or the coast. The wine and olive oil were incredible, you could tell how fresh and with how much care they make them (all by hand). The host was extremely nice, spoke well and had great knowledge and respect for the history. Such a beautiful and fulfilling but quiet place, would recommend to all wine lovers.

I would recommend everyone who visits Naxos to go here. Emmanouel is very professional and passionate about is wines. He has extensive knowledge about wine which made the experience special. You also get a very nice charcuterie board which enhanced the wine tasting.
It felt personal and he took very good care of us all and made us feel welcome. I would rate this 6 out of 5 stars if I could.
And of course - his wines are truly amazing! Amazing flavor and the taste tells you that Emmanouel knows what he’s doing.

Hi. You say near transportation - is this on bus route from Chora to Chalki? If so, which stop do I request? Thanks.
Written 16 July 2022
I am afraid the only option is to go there by the taxi. You can contact the owner of the place he might pick you up. I haven't heard about any buses going there
Written 17 July 2022
Is there any transportation arranged from popular pickup points or hotels? Unfortunately renting a car or taxi would cost the same price as the tour.
Written 25 April 2022
As far as I am aware there is no transport associated with this. We asked and there was none available. Taxis will do transfers here and back. Not sure of the price
