          Incredible day trip
Nasos from Chania Adventure was an excellent host. Knowledgeable, well-spoken, and offered us very interesting visits during the day trip. He suggested further places to visit for the following days of our trip and that was very useful.

          An exceptional experience
This was the best tour we’ve ever taken. Nicholas was our guide. He was exceptional - prompt, friendly, helpful and unbelievably well informed about all things Crete, especially the island’s vineyards and olive orchards. If you think Crete is only about the port and the beaches, you’re missing out on an incredible treat. The mountains are breathtakingly beautiful, the wine and olive oil tastings are delicious fun and lunch at Milia Mountain Retreat is a farm to table culinary masterpiece. Chania Adventures impresses at every turn, and again, we can’t say enough about our tour guide Nicholas. He made an exceptional adventure even better.

Fabulous day ! Nikolai was fabulous and gave us a great day at the beach and pictures at Balos. Lunch at the beach was outstanding . I did t want to leave the water the sand was amazing. Highly recommend! It’s a bit rocky up there and riding in the Landrover made for a comfortable ride. Definitely go with Chania Adentures !

Just good. Overpriced for what you get.
The views were amazing on the drive and views from above at Balos. Beautiful beach. My sunbed with umbrellas was in full sun and the views are obstructed by the cabanas which are directly in front of you. For $170(ish), I feel they should get the guests the cabanas which were only 50 euros. I paid extra while there to get one. The lunch was good but not great. There was a lot of talk in the car about local honey. An opportunity to taste that at the restaurant would have been a nice perk. Also the jeep is not "luxury." Just a basic jeep with 3 rows and 6 people jammed in. One couple didn't get to sit together bc one person is required to sit up front. Overall, the trip was good, but not excellent for the price paid.

          Unforgettable Trip!!
Nikolas Vasileiou is not only an incredible tour guide but also a wonderful person. He led us on a tour to Elafonisi Beach and the Milia Mountain Retreat, where his professionalism, passion, knowledge, sense of humor, and excellent driving skills truly stood out. Elafonisi Beach was stunning—one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever visited—and we were pleased to have reserved sunbeds and umbrellas waiting for us on site. Lunch at Milia Mountain was delicious, and Nick’s enthusiasm for the location, its food, and its history made the experience even more special. The views were simply breathtaking. We highly recommend Chania Adventures for anyone seeking an exceptional tour. Our experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Greece and made our honeymoon truly unforgettable!

Incredible day in the White Mountains with Demetri!
Had an absolutely stunning day in the White Mountains of Crete. Our adventure began with meeting Demetri, who was gracious and knowledgeable and really made us feel so very welcome to his country. Our entire day long tour was exactly as advertised and more! Not only did we get to see the “real Crete”, but Demtri’s perfect English (he lived in Michigan for a short time) and superb knowledge made the day exceptional. The outing, and Dimitri, truly exceeded our expectations. Don’t hesitate to book with Chania Adventures! You will be more than satisfied!

          Relaxing Beach Day
Our small group tour guide, Nickolas was friendly, shared entertaining stories and had a good sense of humor. By the end of the trip, Nickolas was our friend! The views of Balos Beach were amazing. We enjoyed lounging and walking Falassarna Beach. The turquoise color of the water was incredible. Lunch at the taverna was delicious.

          White Mountain Adventure
A wonderful day exploring the white mountains of beautiful Chania. Our group of four was expertly guided by Vissillis who shared many stories about Cretan history and traditions. The wine and olive oil tasting was delicious but the lunch at Milia Mountain Retreat consisting of dishes hand picked by Vissillis was exquisite. At the end of the meal, Raki with honey and cinnamon was divine.

Worthwhile adventure: Balos & Falassarna Beach Jeep Tour
This tour is a great way to experience the stunning landscapes while also enjoying some relaxing hours at a beautiful beach. We were picked up at our hotel in a Land Rover, and the ride itself was quite an adventure! Our friendly driver, who was also our guide, had a fun, fast-paced driving style, especially on the off-road sections, which made the trip even more exciting. At no point did it feel unsafe. The guide was extremely attentive, always trying to anticipate our every need. The included lunch at the beach restaurant was excellent and very generous in portion size. All in all, this is a highly recommended tour that is both fun and well worth the time!

We had an amazing time with Nikolas on our shore excursion. We had a short port day but got an early start with a 4x4 tour around the White Mountains and Samaria Gorge with a stop for a local snack. We had hoped to tour the olive oil facility but they were closed for an event. However, Nasos arranged a tasting for us in Chania and even brought my daughter a bottle of local olive oil. Nikolas was fantastic and kept all of us, including our 15 and 10 year old, entertained and engaged throughout the day. It was one of our favorite activities of our 10+ day trip in Italy and the Greek Isles, and we are already considering a return trip to Crete. It's a magical place.

Excellent tour that included Wine and Olive Oil tasting at a family run farm.
Trip included stunning views from little used unpaved mountain tracks with no crash road-side barriers - just an almost vertical drop. Stavros, the driver was extremely safe and full of information about the terrain and historical context of the area. Excellent Cretan lunch at a restaurant high in the mountains with ever changing views as the sun moved. Many thanks Stavros for a great adventure trip. Bob and Narumi

I went on this tour today with Nasos, he was amazing. As I am petrified of heights and the road that we take to get to our final destination was fairly high up and I was very scared. He was so comforting and caring. The views and amazing history that he shared really made the tour amazing. We stopped at the olive oil place where we saw the oldest tree that still produces olives. Here we ad time to have a nice coffee or tea and some photos before we went to a winery and had an amazing taste testing of 5 wines and the most incredible olive oil you will ever taste. Then we headed to Samaria Gorge where we had the best food ever an the views were unbelievable. If you are in Chania, you need to book this tour, it will change your life and is so breathtaking. Thank you again Nasos for an amazing day.

We went with Nasos, who is and excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the olives and the bees and Historical events around the places which we visited!

We were picked up at our hotel, then we went towards the White Mountains, we stopped at the hikers' refuge and had some Mountain Tea and traditional Cretan snacks!

We had a chance to interact with the friendly goats over there, do some drawings and take plenty of pictures!

Then we stopped at the Gorge to have a drink and admire the scenery, absolutely beautiful!

We then went to have a traditional Cretan meal at EleasTheas. The guide chose the food and the staff was extraordinarily friendly! I wish we took a picture of the food over there but we were just too impatient to eat it! We had meatball pasta, oven cooked rabbit with garlic and wine, Boureki (which was my personal favourite: zuchini, potato and feta baked pie with a hint of mint!). We also had a free range chicken and a Cretan Salad. And for desert we had some delicious homemade cakes ( moist brownie, coconut cakes and orange and honey pastry pie, all placed around scrumptious vanilla ice cream! As well as delicious grape rakii to pair with the sweets!

Carrying on, we went to taste Cretan Olive Oil and Wines at Anoskeli where we were astonished with the quality of the products and the hospitality of the staff as this was our first experience of the kind! Needless to say, we couldn't leave the place without buying some Olive Oil and Wine to bring home for our family to experience as well!

After this, we headed home, but not without the guide giving us plenty of suggestions for us to try and visit during our stay here in Crete.
        Very honest, pleasant and helpful!

We cannot wait to come back next year and try
the different tours they have to offer!

Very comfortable Jeep, Interesting trip to see more of inland Crete. We had a very nice restaurant lunch with wine in a lovely outdoor garden setting. We had several stops with olive oil tasting and wine tasting, with a nice platter of nibbles. We also had a stop at the lookout over Samara Gorge, which was fantastic. Would recommend.

I can not say enough about Chania Adventures! We had such a special day with Nasos - exploring the cave of St. John the Hermit, then on to the Olive tree of Vouves (awe-inspiring!), wine tasting at Anoskeli Vineyard (lovely!), then to Samaria National Park for an incredible lunch and views that were beyond anything we could have imagined! Nasos is a most impressive and knowledgeable tour guide but, most importantly, we felt like we were hanging out with an old friend! Thank you Nasos, for a very special day!!

This was the highlight of our time in Chania! Nasos was a fantastic and highly knowledgeable guide. He told us about everything from traditional Cretan food, wine, olive oil and even bees and honey production.
This was absolutely the kind of tour for people who don’t just want to see the island from a massive tour bus but what a more immersive and personalized adventure. The drive was gorgeous, lunch was amazing! I wish we could have had more time with Nasos. I am so grateful for this experience with my family, Nasos made it special and very fun.
        Thank you so much!!!

What a wonderful day we had yesterday with Nassos on our private hire jeep safari. He was not only extremely interesting giving lots of facts (but never dryly) about the island and its flora and fauna, but also very considerate of the needs and interests of each member of the family, which included my sons (13 & 8) and my mother in law. We went to 'hidden' places we wouldn't have found (St John the Hermit's Cave), the ancient olive tree at Vouves, olive oil and wine tasting at Anoskeli and the beautiful Milia Retreat - all pretty much punctuated with the most amazing food! In between we journeyed off road, 4x4, across majestic countryside seeing parts of the island we wouldn't otherwise have seen, punctuated with Nassos' commentary and conversation.
All of us remarked at the end of the trip that the day passed in a flash! Thank you so much Nassos!

We two were with another 2 couples in a very comfortable all terrain 4wd. If you want a great day out and to see lots including the magnificent 3000 (yes 3000 plus) year old Olive tree then this is the tour....ps Nic is also fun to be with and likes a laugh..

Stavros is the best guide! Pleasant, knowledgeable, and kind. He made the tour so much fun. His historical knowledge of Crete is exceptional - a great storyteller! The wine and olive oil tasting was great! The drive the rest of the way to the restaurant and the gorge was adventurous and fun! The views are spectacular! Fun for kids too. A must do!!!
