Fun class learning how to make various mezes. Recipes are a starting point. Knowing HOW things should taste is the goal.

Very easy to make our reservation from the US. We didn't need to pay any type of deposit before the class. We arrived for our reservation and the cooking studio was beautiful and very clean. Ten people put on aprons and we began a wonderful cooking journey. I have nut allergies and the chef was very flexible and cognizant of my issue. The chef was very casual and helped all 10 of us to feel comfortable with all the ingredients and what each was to do. All cooks got a chance to participate in the entire meal. We made stuffed grape leaves (not sure of the Greek name). Next was the delicious cheese pie. (That morning at our hotel I had a piece of pie and spit it in my napkin...not this, what we made was Delicious.) All of us Chefs had a chance to cut up veggies and shred cheese for a wonderful, fresh Greek Salad. We made a delicious pasta dish with a veal and tomato sauce covered in a bechamel sauce. Fairly easy to make but so flavorful. Most important...dessert! A phillo filled dough with nuts, cinnamon and sugar. I made mine separate because of my allergy. Then we ate our accomplishments with local wines. What a wonderful way to end several hours of hard work! Oh, and we met some great travelers too!

Our CookinAthens experience was part of a multigenerational vacation to Greece and one of the highlights of our stay in Athens. Marilena and her assistants were fun to work with and we all dug right in and started cooking, regardless of the level of our kitchen skills. They made everything fun and easy. We made so much food, enjoyed a feast of authentic Greek dishes together afterwards and it was all delicious! Not only do we have great memories of our family adventures in Greek cooking, Marilena emailed us a recipe booklet with all the great food we cooked together - and many more recipes to try at home to remember our time in Greece! When we first arrived, we weren't sure about the location. The building doesn't look like a cooking studio and the entrance area is not what you would expect. However, once you get up to the studio, you'll find a bright and comfortable place to cook. Enjoy!

One of the best cooking classes we've taken. Great with a tween and no need to be a chef. Each dish was explained very well during preparing. We made many dishes: eggplant, kebabs, stuffed grape leaves, tzatziki, and different savory and sweet baklava "cigars". It was just tje right amount of time working on each dish and the chef included great tips. Highly recommend!

CookinAthens was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Greece! Marilena was amazing. Our group was small - my husband and I and our 12 year old grandson - and she was encouraging and fun and made the whole experience quite extraordinary. She definitely worked hard ahead of time shopping for very fresh ingredients and prepping some of the food. There were no wasted moments. We got to do so much of the work to prepare the meal, which we enjoyed so very much, and having the recipes now that we are back in Canada is phenomenal. I would highly recommend Marilena and the company! When we go back to Greece, I will definitely do this again.

The hosts were amazing and so sweet, I brought my niece and nephew with me and we had fun while also learning about Greek cuisines, a wide variety of food and all were delicious, I highly recommend this place, THANK YOU!

We had a really good time, we requested to learn how to make tadziki and moussaka. Marilena thought us how to create both in the authentic greeck way as well as 4 more dishes of which 1 dough appetizer with cheese, a greek salad, a cheese filled long horned pepper and the other which was baklava. Even though we were the only 2 peoplebooking on our day in december, Marilena didn t cancel or ask to move our cooking class which we really appreciated and she also adjusted the tadziki receipy untill it was a bit softer taste which i teally liked. Marilina is also super friendly and is a great cook as we really enjoyed eating the food as our self cooked lunch.

Really enjoyed making and eating delicious greek mezze. Genuinely confident that we can recreate dolamdes, favs bean humus, baclava and more back home. Thank you for patient instruction and lovely cooking surroundings!

We had such a wonderful evening taking a cooking class with Marilena. The food was delicious and we now have a Greek cookbook and all of the techniques we learned. It came with a Greek cheese tasting and phyllo dough making lesson. We oftentimes take cooking classes when we travel and we always enjoy them and learn something that will help us remember a trip. This time the biggest take away may have been authentic Greek salad (for which we are now looking for real Greek feta and not Americanized Greek feta) but we learned lots of other things too and had a fantastic evening.

Delicious recipes! We are excited to go home to impress our friends and families with what we learned. The chefs were great teachers and were willing adapt to everyone's preferences.

I am of Greek decent and have been to Athens often. I have always wanted to take a cooking class when visiting as I cook a lot of Greek food at home. My friend was traveling with me and we had, literally, the most incredible experience with Marilena and Artemis as well as the two other students in the class - who we are now actually friends with. I learned so many tips and tricks to apply to my own cooking and (as I am working on improving my Greek language skills) Marilena and Artemis gave me a lot of opportunity (and patience) to practice that as well (completely applicable to the class and still including everyone). Definitely experience the shopping and market tour with Artemis before class - that is a must. I cannot rave enough about this experience - it was really such a special afternoon. it was a very fun and unique cooking class. we all enjoyed to cook and later eat all the food and drink all the wine. we had an absolute blast cooking there and its the perfect group activaty when in athens!! :) Marilena and her teams, where very nice and always very helpful with great tips.

Loved the class and the food was absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend:) Marilena did an excellent job of letting us have a hands on experience while introducing us to some excellent methods and delicious food.

Learnt so much and was an amazing experience. Highly recommend to all!!! The food was delicious and even got to take some left over back to our accommodation!

Great experience. Marilena and her staff are very professional. It was funny and productive at the same time. I have enjoyed it so much, and it was much above my expectations. I definitely want to repeat the experience and I can only suggest it to everybody. Do not hesitate. It's absolutely worthy
