Feast your eyes on the rock-built monasteries of Meteora on this full-day rail trip from Athens. Ride a train through inland Greece to Kalambaka, and on arrival, enjoy a panoramic drive to see all six UNESCO-listed retreats. Uncover their history, stop for photos, and choose to visit one or two of the monasteries atop their rock pinnacles. Includes rail fares, deluxe air-conditioned minivan transport around the sites, plus an upgrade option to first-class train travel.
What to Expect
Catch the train from Athens Train Station at 8:20M to Kalabaka and admire the beautiful Greek landscapes during your trip. Arriving in Kalabaka at 1:30PM our VIP Limo Mini Bus will be waiting you at the Kalabaka Train Station with our highly educated Tour Guide to begin your customized Special Panoramic Midday Meteora Tour. Take an amazing 3.5 hours Meteora tour, see all 6 monasteries and visit inside one or two of them. Your Tour Guide will give you full attention and care as the group will be small. Plenty of photo opportunity stops and many secrets places that only locals know will make your tour a life time experience. At the end will be transferred back to Kalabaka to catch the train back for Athens. The train departs at 5:32pm and you will arrive in Athens at 10:30pm.

Fantastic trip, well worth the train journey!

Amazing Tour - Worth the travel time

I will recommend this tour to all who visit Greece. If you are doing a day trip be prepared for a train journey of more than 10 hours and then a lot of climbing. For a more relaxed pace there are other options as well....More

Excellent all around....

I recognized that it would take 5 hours on the train each way so reserved a two day trip from Athens. This allowed me to do both the sunset tour and the morning tour without being too rushed. And I must say that Meteora Thrones...More

They are really good and only 7 are ctulyeft from tourists.. its a very good experience... I will strongly recommend you simply for the view... momastries are like church and there will be monks and peacefulness
