About
After skip-the-ticket office line to the Acropolis, learn about highlights such as the Theater of Dionysus from your guide. Next, see the many sights of the Agora, including Hephaestus Temple, the Church of the 12 Apostles, the Temple of Apollo Patroos, the Altar of Zeus, and more. Because this is a small-group tour, you can ask plenty of questions, and you even have time on your own to snap photos. Please note admission to the attractions is not included in the tour price, and needs to be paid in cash to your guide. Please be aware that even with our skip-the-ticket-line service, there might be some waiting time required for security checks. This is because visitor numbers can fluctuate unpredictably at the sites throughout the day. The typical waiting time falls within 0 to 10 or 30 minutes, though on rare occasions, it might be longer.

Perfect - suited 4 teenagers so a success!
We are so glad to have booked onto this tour. We had 2 days in Athens - 2 families with 4 teenagers between us. We arrived 15 mins before a departure at 9am (good to start early) enough time to grab a quick breakfast and coffee. Like the ear piece and radio system as it’s quite easy to lose your guide and you can always hear them. Our guide (Lalita?) was pleasant and knowledgeable. Just the right amount of information and time before everyone expired. The time went by quickly. Bring plenty of water, hats and wear decent shoes as the ground is uneven and slippery coupled with hundreds and hundreds of people. We saw two people fall. That said there was a person with a broken leg on crutches who managed to get to the top! There is a drinking tap at the last point of the tour which she helpfully pointed out. I saw some guides with photographs of what the sites would have originally looked like and would have found that helpful. We abandoned the kids afterwards and visited to museum which was worth doing - we queued (10 min wait) and paid on entry.

    Disappointing
Tour spent too much time on the base of the Acropolis talking about history that went on and on without any substance. Early morning tour start and by the time we actually started up to the top to see the Acropolis an hour after the tour started, the lines were long and 1000’s of other people were pushing thru to get to the top. Was disappointed as it was not crowded when we started to tour and ended up to be overwhelming crowds when we finally moved up.

The best way to see the monument- avoiding the crowds and the heat!
We went on the tour July 13, and Athens weather was swealtering! So glad that we got up early to be there first thing! It was a treat to see the monuments before it became crowded with lots of people (and before it became unbearably hot!). Our guide Niobe was also fantastic and made the history of the place come alive and made the visit even more worthwhile! Meeting the crowds as we made our way down the hill convinced us even more that it was really worth being up early for the tour! /Anna and Henrik

    Tasty Way to Explore Athens
This tour is a tasty combo of food, history, and Athens neighborhoods. Our guide Vicky was engaging, friendly, and knowledgeable. This is a great way to get a better understanding of the food, culture, and neighborhoods of Athens.

    First time in Greece
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour of The Acropolis. I knew I could have just bought my own tickets and toured by ourselves, but very happy With my purchase. The tour guide was very helpful in navigating the very crowded area, pointing out all the history through good stories along the way up to the top. Also helped to know good places in the shade to sit and grab water along the way. Definitely worth the $$ for a first time visitor to Greece.

    You’ll love this experience
Excellent way to spend an evening, learning to cook Greek foods. Instructor was fun and the food turned out great. We shared the class with two Australians who were a hoot. We had fun and it was good value for the money spent.

    A Must-See when in Athens
Must see when in Athens, but make your visit early in the morning. It gets very hot. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the area. We also toured the museum with her, which I highly recommend.

    Excellent tour of the Acropolis
It was a very hot, very windy day but our guide, Marina, had such enthusiasm and knowledge for the ancient Greek history that it was all made worthwhile. I cannot recommend enough both the tour and our guide!

    10/10 with Dimitris
We had a fantastic tour with Dimitris. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He kept the pace of the tour at the right speed and the time flew by. The meeting point was easy to find and well organised. The headsets worked well.

    Fun experience
Fun experience and Katerina and Orestis were very nice!!! We loved the spinach pie, Greek salad, potatoes, and zucchini meatballs. The main reason we are not giving 5 stars is because there were way too many people in the class ( 24), the room was soo uncomfortably hot, and the servers gave the same portions of food for large parties as the parties of smaller groups at the tables. Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed the chefs and the delicious food we cooked.

We were very lucky to have found Faye Georgiou for a private tour of the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. The 4 hours with Faye was a master class offered in the most entertaining and enjoyable way. Following a cruise we found ourselves with only half a day and an evening in Athens. We clearly made the most of our time thanks to Faye. Faye has impeccable credentials and has a true passion for her work. She made us feel special and could not be more helpful. We will definitely return to Athens and engage Faye for additional sightseeing.

This was an excellent guided tour. Operators were at the meeting place with ample time to check everyone in. The listening devices (whispers) allow for everyone to listen to the tour guide with ease and without needing to crowd. Our tour guide, Katia Koul was excellent, bringing the ruins to life with the narration in excellent English and hear wealth of knowledge. The pace of the tour is a comfortable one, with time to ask questions without getting too distracted. I recommend doing the Agora also, for a full view of this important spot in history.

This was a great tour. The guide made it come alive. Magda Kareli was her name. She had enormous passion and very deep knowledge of the link between the mythology and the culture. She connected all the dots. She related directly to every one of our 16 very different participants. She was really hands-on and shepherded us through the crowds into the right places. I have walked the same ground without a guide. It’s like walking around in the dark. Magda really turned on the lights! I’m so glad I went with them. It was a great value.

Awesome walking tour experience. Our tour guide Alexandria was so knowledgeable sharing Greece history with us, was very interesting. The walk was a good pace too. Would recommend a early morning tour as it gets hot in the afternoon.

My sister and I had the most wonderful experience on the acropolis and museum walking tour with Artemis Olympidou. We learnt SO much, it would have been an entirely different experience going on our own. I would say it’s a necessity going with a tour guide. Artemis was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Greek culture and history, and made the tour so much fun. 100% recommend!

The Acropolis is the most famous but not well preserved. Plus you cannot get up close. The better preserved similar temple is in the Ancient Agora within walking distance of the Acropolis in the Ancient Agora complex where you get really close to the structure and it is remarkably well preserved.
