        Just don’t go
The worst tourist guide I’ve ever seen in my life. She does not talks looking to people, she does not like people around her( seated near her), she does not bring you back to the hotel( they pick you up inside the hotel drop you of one block away). She is not abble to climb monument stairs to explain like the others guides did at the same place. Just don’t go. Awfull.

Not at all what expected. Just a very very touristy event no real local entertainment. Not at all what expected. Just a v
This is a very very touristy type excursion. We visited the parking lot of the acropolis for 10 minutes then took a bus ride through town to the venue. They did have some dancers in costume for a few minutes, but most of the show is bringing tourists up out of the audience to try to dance, and everybody gets to laugh at them. The venue was 85% empty. The food was OK. It was a pleasant evening, but not what expected

        Not to be missed!
Joy was a pleasant and knowledgeable guide. I appreciated her skills at keeping to the schedule so we could make the most of our time at the site. The Delphi is not to be missed. I learned so much more about Greek history, like the ancient ancient Greeks before Zeus, I had no idea. The drive to and fro was fine. Saw some beautiful countryside, away from the city. Drove by Thebes! That was a nice surprise. Had a nice stop on the way up & back. Well worth the money!

Excellent guides and marvelous views. Stops were timed just right. Took this tour in April but was starting to get crowded. Top notch. Would go again.

        Big disappointment, twice!
I booked two day tours with this company. Sadly, both were very disappointing due to the guides. One guide hardly said anything knowledgeable that we already didn’t know (example: explained marathons) and clearly didn’t want to be there. Her delivery and anything she said to us just made it seem like she hated the job. We walked up to the acropolis and every few steps she would warn about the slippery steps. So most of the tour was warning about the steps. Another person on the tour said they would not be recommending this company—so it was not just me and my friends who were disappointed. The other guide on the next day tour had a lot more to say and was knowledgeable, but his delivery was so dry and monotonous that it could put me to sleep. Not engaging at all. I found the other tour guides from other companies at the sites and museums more engaging, from what I could overhear from them—crazy sad! I honestly wanted to love these tours because the company came recommended, but as someone eager to learn, they both fell way short. Total waste of money, I wish I could have a refund.

Do not recommend this tour through Viator
Waited around a lot, tour guide was disorganized and we did not see all the stops promised. Tour guide said it was “because the police are around”. Do not recommend this tour through Viator

Add the food, it’s worth it!
Tour was great, very informative. Make sure to eat before as you won’t be eating until 2 but you do get to stop and buy a snack. Also, adding the food option is definitely worth it. The view and food are 👌🏼

        Forever on the bus!
The bus ride is way too long! You spend 3 times more time on the bus than at the site. When you get there the village is very cute and the ruins are interesting but not worth the time it takes to get there. For me it is a big no, don’t go!

        Lovely experience
Sofia was amazing! She presented us with all the details, both from the journey and from Delphi and the museum - detail by detail. She is very kind and nice, attentive to details, and knows how to keep your attention on what she is describing. The whole trip was amazing! We also ate well! Kindly recommend!!

        Fair. Probably would not recommend.
Delphi itself was fine. The batteries in my whisperer box were weak and the guide kept cutting in and out. I had to stand next to him to hear. He had extra batteries but not enough for all the folks who needed them (probably a third or more of the group) and he commented that the company had given him only used batteries. Guide got his feathers ruffled when a family broke from the group-not sure if they were doing their own thing or what but he did not handle it well, reprimanding them publicly. We practically ran through the. Museum. Nowhere near enough time. Was crowded and I wondered if it would be better to leave earlier-maybe 6:30 am to get there before too busy. The stop on the way back was a colossal waste of time and a fairly hard sell from the shop owner.

        OK Could be better
People from tour very nice. However, instructions not always clear. The tour guide English could be better. Worst part was the headphones were TERRIBLE. Too much static so could not understand what was said. So it was a waste. People complained and it made guide stressed. Museum had a lot of other tours so it was very crowded. Best part...got to see oracle of delphi site. Took pics so will go back and read more about it!

        Disappointed
Dominique, our tour guide, was extremely articulate in providing us with much history. We enjoyed the trip through the countryside from Athens. We were disappointed though because despite it being an English day trip we had one French couple in our group, so every time Dominique explained an attraction to us she then had to repeat the whole spiel in French. This made us run out of time and unfortunately we did not get to see the amphitheatre, which is what we were most interested in.

        Great day seeing Delphi
Our guide was great. Can’t remember her name as it was 15 characters long. Beautiful setting, relaxed ride on the bus with guide occasionally telling us stuff. If I had to do it over I would not have opted for the lunch in a hotel and would have found our own place to eat with a more authentic Greek lunch.

        Good tour company
There are only a couple of ways to get to Corinth. Since we didn’t want to brave the highways in a rental car, we chose this tour company. The bus driver was an extremely good driver! The guide was very knowledgeable and kind. There are things that are out of the control of the driver and guide. The stop at the canal (which wasn’t breath-taking) was crowded with tourist buses so our time there was extended by 10 minutes. There was a large but crowded food/bathroom/store complex there. Guide told us this is the only place to get food all day. The bus went by the port of Corinth which is mostly underwater. We didn’t stop, but it was neat to see where Paul would have taken the boat. The archeological site at Corinth has a museum with (not kidding) one toilet for women and one for men. Since the bus didn’t have a toilet, we had to choose to either wait in line for a bathroom or use that time walking around the ruins. (Not a huge deal in April but I can imagine summer months being VERY crowded) Our guide took us around the ruins but also offered the option to go on our own. She knows a lot about Paul. There was no stop on the way back to Athens. We all have choices but it is good to be prepared for all the details. This is a good company. Decide whether the day is worth a bus trip. :)

I took this tour on a solo trip to Greece in May 2023.
Overall I really enjoyed the tour, but there were a few complaints:
The tour guide did not introduce herself or the driver and was not very friendly or personable.
There were mainly English speaking people on the tour, but she did the tour in French first.
She was knowledgeable, though, but had a monotonous voice and speaking French first was annoying.
The sites visited were great and Meteora was spectacular.
One word of warning about Meteora: when inside the monasteries wear a mask. They are very crowded and poorly ventilated. I didn’t wear a mask and tested possitive for Covid a few days later.
Another caution: Pay for the tourist class hotels. I paid for a first class and found out that several others on the tour paid for tourist class and stayed in the same hotels. It was several hundred dollars difference.
My travel agent contacted Viatour and they would not refund the difference or provide a reasonable explanation.
Overall the tour was enjoyable and worth the money.

The 4-day Classical Tour we took met all our expectations and lived up to the high reviews that were published. Our guide Demetra was truly excellent. She was clear, precise and very knowledgeable. She kept us entertained on the long bus rides by providing lengthy explanations about Greek history, archeology, mythology, and religion. We were impressed by how graciously yet professionally she handled our group. We were fortunate to be with a group of 12 people, who although complete strangers, turned out to be very compatible. Every stage of of the tour ran smoothly and the hotels were comfortable.

The negative part of the trip was the Amalia Hotels. Well, the CHAT Tours promised us the First Class Accommodation in a 4-star hotels. First of all, Amalia Hotels doesn't have a first class room, everyone get the same twin basic room with 2 beds (we travel as a couple). The hotels ware 3 stars at best, the rooms need to be updating with modern look, the furniture was very used and old, the breakfast and dinner buffet were average, it looks like a cantine, not a restaurant. Only Amalia Delphi has a nice view on mountains) Especially, for the price we paid.
Apart from it, the trip was enjoyable in a safe and air conditioned bus. Plus many stops on a road, so everyone can buy snacks, coffee, water or some souvenirs. Our bus driver Nicholas was great, he navigates safe and accurate, thank you very much for the drive! Excellent guide Joy has a vast knowledge of Ancient Greek history and mythology. She was fantastic! Very professional! Thank you! The views of Mycenae, Delphi, Meteora were spectacular, great places to visit. The museums in each city were excellent, amazing collection of marble sculptures.

Boyfriend and I chose this as an option to tick off many of the sites we wanted to see without breaking the bank. I was actually concerned because it seemed very cheap than other options it would be really rough with dodgy accomodation, reading reviews, etc.. but it far exceeded our expectations. The hotels were lovely and the buffet food was really nice even if a llittle bit "same same" after a few nights. We had a couple of misses, one night in Delphi the hot water had run out but this maybe just a one off and that hotel was one of the older ones. (Although the view in Delphi was amazing.. ) Bus was very new, Dimitra was excellent as a tour guide and everything was very well organised. It's easy to complain but honestly at this price it far exceeded our expectations. A lot of value included, accomodation, good food, entrance fees, lots of toll roads, Dimitra's wonderful guidance, and so on. Definitely don't regret going with this one.

Several reviews of tours in Greece have reported dangerous driving, uninterested guides and poor accommodation. The 4-day tour I took with Chat Tours had NO such problems. The guide was generous with her knowledge and enthusiastic about her country. Perhaps she over-talked, trying to tell the group too much. Places visited always interesting and time scheduled good. Of course, Greece is mountainous and if you want to see a lot, it entails some hours in a coach.

As someone who loves ancient Greek history, this was the trip of a lifetime. I traveled solo to Greece and it was a tour of 14 people including myself. My tour guide, Stathis, was extremely knowledgeable and made my trip. He explained the history of every site and also told mythological stories on the bus on the way to different destinations so we knew the history and mythology behind every site we went to. The entire time I felt very comfortable and he always gave us enough time at each site to walk around, take pictures and appreciate Greece's beauty. The restaurants we went to also had amazing food, and the hotels were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour!! (August, 2018)

Wow! This tour was amazing! We spent 4 days 3 nights seeing amazing sites, staying in great hotels, eating wonderful food, driving in a comfortable air conditioned bus (thank you Bobis for diving us around), Rose was a kind, on task, and very informative tour guide, and we enjoyed getting to know the our guests as well. We would not have been happier with this tour! Thank you again Bobis and Rose for taking all the worry and traveling issues on for us and leaving us with a stress free great trip!

The sites and accommodations were all first rate! The guide was extremely well informed and had a great sense of humor. My one criticism is this. Her explanations were too long and detailed for a person to take at one time while standing in the heat. Some time to walk around the sites would have been welcome. The day of Olympia we arrived back in town absolutely exhausted only to be told we were being dropped off in a little tourist town for one hour at 5:30. You could almost hear an audible sigh of " oh no" at this point. For this reason we skipped the final day of the tour and returned to Athens despite the financial loss.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. We were on the go a lot but it was worth it as we saw and learnt so much. The museums at all the sights were of a very high quality. I highly recommend this tour. The tour guide Dimitria was very professional, knowledgeable, engaging and friendly . She kept up her motivation and energy even though the tour had some long days. The bus driver was very competent and also very professional.
