So much fun with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Alex was brilliant. It was great to visit some port houses we may have otherwise not have found. Certainly worth doing this tour.

Alex was a fantastic guide and host for our varied but small group of 10. Knowledgeable, informative and humorous, I got an interesting insight into some of the touristic and not so touristic aspects of Porto presented with care and entertainment over 3 hours that went quickly. All questions answered, and a good list of recommendations followed. Highly Recommended.

A fun, engaging way to learn more about Porto, Gaia and of course PORT. Our guide, Alex, was really personable, knowledgeable and fun.

Great tour. Alec was fun, engaging and really knowledgeable. He was very clear on when we would be spending a little time on the history of Port and when we would be moving on to the tasting. My husband and I came away feeling like we understood a LOT more about Port wines because of Alec. His passion for the wine and his country is palpable. If you have the time, I recommend this very enjoyable tour.

Each tour was “pay what you wish” at the end. Each tour lasted three hours. One covered older history and one covered more modern history. Because it is out of season, each tour was small: 5 and 10 visitors respectively. It was quite easy to hear the guides and to ask questions. Both tours were offered in English. The tour guides were excellent: Joao and Pedro. Each is well-informed and personable. Each ensured we saw many places we otherwise would have missed. Each offers a break during the tour for a snack and a bathroom stop. I am so glad we did these at 10:45 and 15:30. I recommend you do as well. The company is very organized. Sign up online and then look for a red umbrella at the meeting point.
