Zip along the UNESCO-listed Ribeira neighborhood during a small-group guided Segway tour in Porto. Select a morning or afternoon tour and glide along cobblestone paths lined with historic monuments and attractions such as Ponte de Dom Luis I, Porto Cathedral, São Bento Station, and the lively Bolhão Market. With your local guide, enjoy a comprehensive tour where you will appreciate architecture and uncover Roman legend all on a sleek electric Segway.
What to Expect
After you meet your guide in central Porto, listen to safety and operational briefing about your easy-to-operate, self-balancing electric Segway. Then strap on a helmet and begin your Porto Segway tour.

As you glide through Porto to the downtown district of Ribeira, a UNESCO-listed historic center, cruise by Baroque churches and Moorish tiled buildings. Stop at the stunning 12th century Porto Cathedral. Admire this architectural champion of Romanesque design and learn how Porto experienced a surge of growth during its construction.

Next, take a break at the double decker iron bridge Ponte de Dom Luis I which spans the Douro River. Snag some great photos and hear how this bridge was engineered by Gustav Eiffel’s apprentice. Nearby in Liberdade Square, observe the monument to King Peter IV, a monarch closely cherished in Porto. Then, continue to one of the globe’s most impressive train stations São Bento Station and marvel at its elegant design.

Then, head to the illustrious Café Majestic, a famous Belle Epoque-era café known widely for its ornate interior. Peer in and see its extravagant mirrors, dazzling chandeliers, and angelic sculptures. Afterwards, twist along streets and scale small slopes to discover the spirited Bolhão Market. Enjoy aromatic smells of baked bread, fresh fish, and colorful produce. From here, soar by the majestic Clérigos Tower as you wind into the picturesque district of Miragaia. Snap your final Segway selfies here as the three hour mark approaches. Finally, coast back to the center of Porto near Cube Square and say farewell to your guide.

Great to cover so much ground!

Porto, like Lisbon is extremely hilly and tough to cover by foot. The segway was excellent and the guide Fatmir was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. 10/10.
