Learning about the art of cooking the portuguese divine pastry "OVOS MOLES", a tradition with 500 years old created inside the convents in the 16th century. This pastry is very rich, there are dozens of recipes from north to south of Portugal like pastel de nata (custard tart), pudim abade de priscos, ovos moles de aveiro, or toucinho do céu. It´s a hands-on class. The participants choose 2 recipes they want to learn from a selected list.  The Program: Cooking 2 recipes and in the end the Tasting.The pastries cooked are served with Porto whine or Ginja liquor, coffee and tea. The Workshop takes place in "Casa dos Ovos Moles", a pastry shop specialized in conventual pastry, popularly known as "ovos moles" and famous for its recipes - pastel de nata, pão de ló ovar, ovos moles de aveiro, pudim abade de priscos,...dozens of divine delights. It can be schedule Monday to Friday (17.00/19.00h) and Saturday to Sunday (10.00/12.00h).

This was an excellent class, and we enjoyed seeing the intricate steps to produce a pastel de nata, as well as the pillows of Sintra. Ours turned out great and we certainly would have had a tougher time trying to make them once we returned home without the class. Very enjoyable

We made pastel de nata and one other pastry, both were delicious. Chef was very entertaining and played guitar for us. Staff was very knowledgeable about history of the pastries and clearly passionate. It was a very enjoyable way to spend an evening.
