What to expect
  • After pickup from your central hotel in Lisbon, experience a memorable private tour of Arrábida Natural Park and Sesimbra. In your air-conditioned minivan, buckle your seatbelt and cross the 25th of April Bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril) which spans the famous Tagus River. While journeying to the coastal town of Cascais, let your guide know your interests so they can help tailor your tour. After about thirty minutes, adventure through Arrábida Natural Park to marvel at the abundance of trees and beautiful flora. This 108-acre park is one of 30 nationally protected regions and is home to the famous Convento de Nossa Senhora da Arráida, a former monastery built in the 16th century. As you continue through the park, enjoy a glimpse of the golden sands surrounding Albufeira Lagoon (Lagoa de Albufeira).   Arrive at Cabo Espichel and hop out to visit Santuário de Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel, a chapel and religious sanctuary that pilgrims visited since the early 18th century. Stroll with your guide to the nearby cliffs and capture breathtaking seascape views from atop. Next, drive to the southern side of the Setubul Peninsula and discover the calm fishing town of Sesimbra. On your own, head to the Moorish Castle standing high above the town. Then, break for lunch (own expense) in Sesimbra or in the nearby bay of Portinho da Arrábida. Feel free to ask your guide for recommendations. If you selected the upgrade for the 3-hour dolphin cruise, rendezvous with your guide and travel to your luxury catamaran. Cruise the serene waters listening to live onboard narration and keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins. Alternatively, relish time basking in the sun at Arrábida’s hidden beaches. Relax at the serene Praia dos Coelhos (Rabbits’ Beach) and Praia do Piloto (Pilot’s Beach) as waves lull you into a trance. This private tour from Lisbon lets you select one of two great options next. Visit the 8th century Palmela Castle and 16th century Setúbal Castle or enjoy a tasting of traditional food and wine at a local cellar. As the tour ends, drive back to Lisbon and gaze out the window at pleasant views until you have reached your hotel.

To get to know Portugal - one of the best tours
Sep. 2019
Me and my husband took this day trip. I have to tell you that this trip was one of the best we ever had. Our guide Tiado was very accommodating which created unforgettable experience for us. We accomplished so much during the day and even visited the winery and wine tasting which was not initially included in this trip. we took our time to stop by at every place planned for this trip and stopped to have a swim on one of the most gorgeous beaches in Portugal. Finally Tiado took us to the Christ the King monument with the most breathtaking view. Needless to say, after the trip, we were overwhelmed with the beauty of this country and warmth of the people we met. Tiado is one of them: warm, and knowledgeable and easy going! I highly recommend this tour - the places we visited are not overwhelmed with tourists. You will have a chance to see and experience this beautiful country just for you...Enjoy

Amazing and detailed tour
Aug. 2018 • Family
My husband and I took a private tour because we were with our 2-year-old and needed some flexibility. Raquel C. was our tour guide and I cannot recommend her enough. Her knowledge of Portugal's history as well as her knowledge of art history truly enriched our day. We came away with a greater understanding of the country and its lovely people. The private tours are not inexpensive and if we could have, we would have loved to see more of Portugal with Raquel as our guide. Definitely hope to do more tours with her the next time we visit!

Great way to learn while seeing more of Lisbon!
Jul. 2019 • Friends
My friend and I spent the day with Raquel as our private guide. She had so much knowledge and was able to answer all of our questions about the history of Portugal. She was really friendly and took the time to show us everything we wanted to see. While there was a general itinerary, we were able to choose how long we wanted to spend in each area. I would definitely recommend this trip! The only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is that the beach is not quite as idyllic as pictured above - but it was still a very nice beach and we enjoyed our time relaxing on it.

Best Day Tour!
May 2019 • Couples
If you want to be blown away by the beauty and majesty of the area around Lisbon, do this tour! My wife and I had this tour booked with another guide but he was ill so at the very last moment, Gloria stepped in to keep the company's commitment to us. We were impressed because that's not her usual role -- but maybe it should be! She was absolutely great. Gloria was able to show us a ton of very picturesque spots that had both my wife and me snapping pics left and right. We appreciated her knowledge personal stories about all the locations we visited. The day ended too quickly but left us with so many pleasant memories.

Thanks for a perfect day!
Mar. 2018 • Friends
I'm still buzzing. I leave this review with a big smile on my face!

As part of a hen do weekend we decided to book a day trip with "around lisbon tours" and it was the best thing we did. Gil and his team really went the extra mile to ensure that we (10 girls) have an unforgettable experience.

Our guides, Rui and Pedro, were very passionate about their country and jobs which was just a breath of fresh air. They shared a lot of knowledge with us!

Beside the wine tasting and dolphin watch tour (highlight of our whole weekend! It's so worth it - we saw approx. 30 of them and they were just really majestic and very playful), they showed us some wonderful beaches, view points and a breathtaking monastery.

Also "Sado Emotion" went above and beyond for our Dolphin tour on a speed boat. They even prepared quite a few surprises for our bride to be which was very kind and thoughtful. Overall it was a perfect day and we are so grateful to had a chance to experience this.

Thanks again for delivering a first class experience! I can highly recommend this tour and will use "around lisbon tours" again when we return later this year for a 2nd visit with the family.
