Days Adventures aboard their powered catermeran to the beautiful coast line of Lagos Portugal is the way to go. 2 1/2 hour cruise to the specatular caves and back. If the water corporates, you will stop for a quick dip in the ocean. Recognize that these beautiful and spectacular sea caves have become a very popular attraction and will be visited by multiple boats or various sizes and people kayaking while you are there. I don’t know if it was the time of day (17.30) but the staff member couldn’t get us out and back quick enough - we ended up with less than 40 minutes of an 75 minute trip. There was very little to no commentary on what we were looking at - fortunately we’d done this trip before - just a quick zoom along and back back to base! Had an absolutely amazing time with Ricardo, Katrina and Luis today on a kayak tour. We booked for the late trip and although it looked like rain and being the only two that turned up, we were up for the adventure. As we left the marina, the sun came out and we were blessed with the fact that not many people had taken a trip out. Ricardo was fantastic, explaining everything we could see, answering our questions and making the experience magical. We can’t recommend the trip enough and whilst there are many companies to choose from, we strongly suggest you book with these guys, you won’t get a better experience. Obrigado 😍

The company was very well-organized before and during the tour. They always made us feel safe. The captain of the boat that took us to the caves did a great job maneuvering it in some pretty tight spots. They split the people on the boat into a few groups to make it easier and safer for the 3 or 4 guides to lead us kayaking to the caves. The caves themselves were absolutely beautiful!
The one and only complaint I had was that at one point while we were all kayaking from one cave to the next, one of the employees who stayed on the boat was playing with the boat anchor while pretending it was a phallic object as he danced to a song that he was blasting loudly. I suppose that would probably make 5th grade boys giggle a whole lot, but it's incredibly immature and very much not appreciated when there are mix of all different ages and genders that found it terribly inappropriate and extremely disrespectful.

Great views, really quite enjoyable. No prior kayaking experience needed, it's quite easy and a lot of fun. The staff was there for us but we didn't feel they went the *extra* mile, felt a bit like a routine for them. And even though we were in an English language group, there were a lot of Spanish tourists so the guide for some reason switched to Spanish as the main language and only from time to time added comments in English. Not a big deal and didn't prevent us from having a great time. The nature and the views were worth it!

It was definitely worth it!
All staff were very friendly and in a good mood. The tour itself was exciting and the caves and beaches we visited were very beautiful. At the end of the tour, the guide (Nuno) impressed everyone by diving through an underwater cave and coming out again on the other side to then climb up a cliff and do a backward somersault into the water. After that everyone had the chance to swim, jump off the boat and enjoy good music. Rating 6 out of 5, can recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something. I would like to emphasize that the guide Nuno animated everyone throughout the tour and spread good mood, thank you Nuno ;)

My family and I had a great time kayaking along the coast getting to navigate through numerous caves and grottos. We are what you call beginner kayakers and with he water being a bit rough that day I had some concerns about tipping over. However, the kayaks are so sturdy that we never once felt like we were going to tip. Our tour guide did a great job of navigating us amongst all of the boat traffic and telling us stories about each location we visited. After we finished kayaking we all returned to the boat to enjoy beverages and jumping into the water off the top of the boat. The music and tour guides really added to a fun atmosphere.

Hands down the best thing we did in Lagos. No better way to see the cliffs than from the water, especially from a kayak small enough to get into the caves. They kept the boat as a whole to a great size (around 15-20 people) that felt like a proper amount for the size of the bigger boat. They break out that group into smaller groups when you get into kayaks, approx 5 double kayaks so 10 people with one guide. We loved our guide. When we got back to the bigger boat we were able to jump off the top (it had a 2nd “level” where you could look at the views) into the ocean with incredible views.

We are really happy to have chosen Days of Adventure for our kayak trip. It was such a cool experience! Kudos to the entire crew! They are so fun! We had a bit of everything ( party on a boat, kayaking, jumping and swimming in the ocean and we also saw dolphins). Go ahead and book them, they are worth it!
Advice for fellow travelers. If you want to make the most of your kayak trip, photography wise, be prepared and buy ahead a impermeable phone case. They also sell them on the boat ( around 10 euros) but i guess you can buy them way cheaper elsewhere.

This tour/day was my favourite of our 2 week Portugal and Spain vacation. We did a morning boat/kayak tour from Lagos and the staff was very friends and the views were spectacular. We spent a lot of time on the water and when in caves and grottos and I took amazing pictures. I had bought the waterproof phone/camera holder that they sold for 10 euros at the check in desk and it worked very well. After we were back on the boat after kayaking we were able to buy a beer and jump off the boat into the Atlantic. The water is quite cold still but very refeshing on a hot day!

We completed this trip as a family of 4. Our children are 15 and 13. We were taken by boat to an area then got into kayaks to explore the caves and bays. It was quite hard work to keep up with other members of group as everyone else had 2 adults in their kayaks. So by the time we rejoined the group the talk regarding the bay or cave was over and it was time to move on. I didn’t really mind this as I was happy to look at views.
The boat was there to meet us at end of kayaking which was nice we didn’t have to kayak back again. There was a chance to swim which was nice. The crew were very helpful when one of my children felt sick. The team also contacted me prior to trip to move the booking date as bad weather was predicted which was appreciated rather than just cancelling the booking on the day.

It is easy to find the booth for the company you booked with, they are all on the promenade lined up before the bridge. There was a mini marathon going on the day i was there. we boarded by the outdoor restaurants on the marina side.

They paired up couples in doubles kayaks. I was alone, i had the only single kayak in the water. I think for the crew, the group is better managed that way. There a few other boast and tours in the grottoes at the same time. we had to take turns.
