Meet your guide at the foot of the A’DAM Lookout in North Amsterdam. Board a comfortable bus along with your guide and your group of at most 45 people and begin the 20-minute drive to Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum created from real 18th and 19th century Dutch buildings.
Upon arrival, tour the village with your guide to learn about the area’s history and culture. Visit the Wooden Shoe Workshop, the Clog Museum, and a cheese farm with samples of traditional Dutch cheese, and then set off on your own. The working windmills and historical barns and homes ensure that you have plenty to see.
Rejoin your group for the drive back to Amsterdam, where your guide will give you a premium ticket to the A’DAM Lookout, an observation deck with panoramic views of the city. See Amsterdam’s historic center, UNESCO-listed canals, and Dutch polders before visiting an interactive exhibition about Amsterdam’s history and culture.
The tour concludes at the A’DAM lookout in Amsterdam North at 3 p.m.
