    Great coffee House experience!
We had a walking tour of the Coffee Shops, however this tour was so much more - Clara our guide informed us about the history of Amsterdam and so many facts and stories. We really enjoyed our afternoon and learned so much. Thank you Clara.

Great tour around Amsterdam’s red light district
Fun experience in Amsterdam by a guide who has a good knowledge of the city and the Dutch people. Would definitely recommend even if you have been here before. There are many little fun facts that were new to me even after having seen Amsterdam many times.

We were ripped off on this tour that took our money for no tour.
Stood at the meeting place for over half an hour with no one arriving to take the tour, so called them, they offered us to have the tour the next day or our money back. but as we were flying out that night this was our last chance. The young people travelling in our group had been looking forward to this experience but it appears to be a scam as we asked for our money back yet they still took the money from our credit card which we asked them not to do, and contacted them after they had with them then not answering. Pick someone else not this tour! I note we are not the only people with exactly the same experience.

    Highly Unprofessional
The tour guide did not show up to the meeting location at the time of the tour. When I didn’t see anyone, I called the number listed for this company. I got a voicemail directing me to reach out via WhatsApp. I did that and was given a contact number for the guide. He never responded to me and I was left standing in the rain and cold for more than 20 minutes. I was told someone would contact me. They never did. I received no further contact from the WhatsApp number after that, even when I asked for a refund. I’ve never experienced something so unprofessional while traveling. I highly recommend travelers choose another tour company.

    Private VIP Tour
Both myself and my husband were traveling from Dubai and chose to do the VIP exclusive tour. We always prefer to do private luxury tours when we travel and I felt this one one of the few tours we took this Europe trip that was well worth the money. Our guide organized a private marijuana and red light district walking tour which gave us exclusive access to a few coffee shops. We had tickets arranged with the Anne Frank house, which are impossible to get unless you book months in advance and we booked this trip at the last minute. He also arranged for our travel to Giethoorn which included a tour around the village and a private boat cruise in the canals of Amsterdam. He tailored the entire tour to our specific needs. Highly recommended tour if you’re look to get away from the typical tourism in Amsterdam.

short bar crawl with friendly drag tour guide
Had a nice time on this tour, Manny the tour guide dressed in drag for the occasion and had lots of interesting bits of history about amsterdam and gay life. It could have had more stops perhaps but some of the bars we didn’t make it too were very crowded anyway.

Amazing way to spend your day
I booked the Amsterdam: Cultural Ganja Walking Tour of Coffee Shops and it was amazing!! I discovered so many things about Amsterdam and its history and we also stopped at a bar and coffeeshop which was perfect for the hot weather. Would definitely recommend for anyone new to Amsterdam or who is eager to learn something new!

I would suggest adjusting the tour so that it concentrates on the ‘coffee shop’ experience and culture. Whilst I found the conversations fun and the guide upbeat and ‘on the ball’, trying to cram in everything makes for a rather hurried experience.

Thanks for the suggesion! The website says that we are a tour for beginniers ( who are open to learning amsterdam and coffeeshops) , so if you want a more focused coffeeshop tour experience, then to go for the cannabis lovers tour we offer. If you felt hurried, then may I suggest having some space cake to slow you down! thanks for your opinion

I was the only one that show up (or had booked) the tour in a sunday in february, so I got something like a private tour. The guide (Felix or Filip, I don't remember) was very nice and friendly. Too shame that I didn't ask or suggest any places to go to, as he told me that I have the possibility to come up with own suggestions (as I was the only one), but that's entirely my own fault.
The only downside was also that as I were alone, it's always nice when there are other participants as they also comes up with questions and so on, that will add it's own flavour to the tour and gives the opportunity to meet new people.

We did the tour with luka and although he was a really really nice enthusiastic guy, it seemed that he doesn’t really know what this tour (we did the ganja tour) should be about. We started in a bar, where we sat around for a while, some people ordered a beer or something and we sat and waited. Then Luka told a few stories, which were quite funny, but the bar was too noisy to really understand everything. Then each one got exactly one bitterballen as a snack, and then we left. We feel like ordering and paying was the main thing to do there.
Then we went to a coffeeshop, which wasn’t special at all. We sat there for 20 minutes talking to some other people on the tour.
Then Luka showed us some places in the city and told us stories (that was nice!). Afterwards we went to another coffeeshop. But as we didn’t want to buy anything, it was quite boring there and - again we were sitting around. We went outside and stood there for like another 20 minutes with other people from the group while luke was inside. Not sure what the plan was there. Then we walked a few minutes just to finish the tour.
What we expected were maybe some more stories , especially about the coffee shops. He said they are all pretty much the same. We expected some fun parts (maybe a 5 minute workshop in rolling joints), but it was mostly sitting or standing around. We did many free walking tours around the world and even if it would have been free (it’s 29€ pp) I would only recommend this tour to people who are to shy to walk into a coffeeshop by themselves.

To each their own, we have been around for 9 years and have great ratings! We hope next time if your standing around, its most likely because you are enjoying how beautiful Amsterdam is in the daytime and listening to Luka as he gives his talks! Most people zone out if they visit the bar, for obvious reasons. Enjoy

I went to Amsterdam on my own and was a bit scared it would be boring. This tour was super fun ! The guide Eric was lovely and so fun. He really motivated us and I got along great with the other tourists in the group. I’ve never been to Amsterdam but walked around for three days before doing this tour. It’s weird to think of many things I missed while walking around! All in al I would describe this as a mix of a learning and fun tour.

We had a wonderful walking tour of central Amsterdam that included stops at two coffee shops after a brief stop at the royal palace and a visit to an Irish pub with an opportunity to sample local beers (at added cost). At the pub, our guide Jason explained the history of coffee shop culture in Amsterdam, focusing on the decriminalization of marijuana after growing problems with hard drugs in the 1970s. Jason was very engaging and knowledgeable. Our first coffee shop was one that did not include edibles, so we spent a lot of time there as some participants wanted to smoke. The second coffee shop did have edibles, and they were supposed to be the best in the city. En route to the second one, we also did a brief walk through of the city museum. If you book the 2-hour tour, not that it is basically the same as the 2.5-hour tour. The longer one includes snacks, which were served at the pub. As a result, the tour actually ran long, being closer to 3 hours than 2 hours. Jason was an excellent guide/host, and it was an excellent introduction that made us feel much more comfortable during our visit.

Our tour guide was amazing, very sorry can’t remember his name but he was from Manchester! Really gave us an insight to the cannabis culture, he took us to a coffee shop, bar, red Light District and a chocolate shop, really knowledgeable, pointing out different places, would definitely book a tour with this company again

An interesting in depth tour lasting about 3 hours.
Felix, who knows his subject, met us at the appointed time and took us to a local pub for an insight into the Dutch way of life. This was a pleasant hour over a drink (Not included). As the weather was appalling a stop in the dry was most welcome.
We then visited a coffee shop to try the local culture.
This was my first time, and not over impressed, but something we would not have done on our own and we all found the experience well worth it.
The cheese tasting was a little disappointing as we arrived late, not Felix's fault, as the shop was closing.
Thank you Felix for passing so much information and helping us experience the true Amsterdam.
