Amsterdam Countryside Bike Tour Including Cheese Tasting and Clog Demonstration
From USD 37.03
Overview
Cover more of Amsterdam's countryside in far less time on a stress-free bike tour that includes bike and helmet rental. Unlike exploring by coach, a bike tour grants you access to areas inaccessible by traditional tour vehicle. Plus, if the weather gets rainy, you can stay dry with a rain poncho given out by your guide.
What to Expect
Meet for this Amsterdam bike tour in central Amsterdam. Get set up with a bike and helmet for the ride through the countryside.
Start by biking through the city, along canals, and over bridges. Along your route, your guide tells you interesting facts about the area’s history and culture. As you make your way into the countryside, catch sight of houseboats and locals fishing.
One of your stops is at a farmhouse. Try cheese that’s made there, and watch a clog-making demonstration before stopping at the iconic De Riekermolen windmill for a photo op.
On your bike ride back to the city center, pass through some of Amsterdam’s parks including Vondelpark, Amsterdamse Bos, and Beatrixpark.
Your guided tour ends when you make it back to the city, and turn in your bike and helmet.

a blast!

I like to do a bike tour the day I arrive in a city - it helps the jet lag if I exhaust myself that first day. I did the Countryside tour with guide Aaron. He was entertaining and pleasant. The farm (cheese tasting and...More

Loved the scenery

Loved the ride! You have to be comfortable riding at a decent pace on city traffic to do this. Once you get out of the city the scenery is amazing. The cheese farmer is a creepy funny guy. So be prepared to be a bit...More

Very fun... even though I almost fell in the end

This was a great tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. A word of caution Amsterdam is the land of the bikes. Getting in and out of the city can cause a lot of anxiety for those who are novice bike riders. In hindsight I’m...More

No, nor do you see the around Amsterdam. The biking is hectic and doesn’t really allow for it.
