All the animals are rescues, which I think makes it a particularly nice place to support as they are giving all those wonderful animals a great new home. The lady who served us was very nice, friendly, welcoming and informative. I love cats and I was absolutely thrilled to find they have a Savannah Cat, Servals, Caracals, Lynx, Bobcats, Jungle and Wild Cats. As we walked around, we discovered a whole range of lovely animals. Tanukis, Skunks, Wallabies, Racoons and Red, Silver and White Foxes were among our favourites. All the animals looked happy and well cared for. There was also a spacious playground, soft play area and Jurassic area with animatronic Dinosaurs. Afterwards, we had a delicious toasted sandwich, panini and cakes in the cafe and purchased a souvenir from the gift shop. Thank you to everyone at Ark Wildlife Park for an amazing day out and the brilliant work that you do! Would highly recommend!Written 23 March 2025
- 23PUNTER0 contributionsRecommendedMy husband was given this trip as a Meet the Meercats gift . We had an amazing time, the keepers had such knowledge and were so helpful with any questions asked. We spent ages with the meercats , feeding and playing with them . The Ark does amazing work taking animals that would otherwis have been put down . Please support them with a visit .Written 22 March 2025
- N1830WOabigailh0 contributionsPerfect Arctic Fox ExperienceWe had an amazing experience with the arctic foxes. We got to make them some enrichment boxes with some meal worms in for the foxes to enjoy and placed them in the enclosure with them. They loved it and we loved watching them interact. One male - Jack, kept coming up to us - very used to humans. The lady who gave us the experience said he was so used to people as he recently had been diagnosed with epilepsy. The lady was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We then got to explore the rest of the wildlife park. Thank you for such a fabulous experience!Written 26 February 2025
- Y5020QYruthd0 contributionsHighly recommend a vistGreat experience all round from arriving to leaving I felt welcome and really enjoyed my encounter experience. Keeper on the day was polite professional, knowledgeable and above all showed a lovely, caring attitude towards all the animals, she clearly loves her role and is a credit to your team 😊 I met with a fabulous trio of Skunks, beautiful red foxes and stunning wild cats, being given the opportunity to feed and provide enrichment as well as interaction to suit each animal accordingly. Lunch was included and the lovely lady in the cafe made a lovely lunch and I recommend trying a delicious homemade cake. Everyone super lovely and friendly, I was on my own and didn't feel awkward in any way. The Ark is a lovely place and provide the very best to animals who just haven't been treat fairly or right in life, so many "kept as pets" then disgarded. All animals looked content and happy in their spaces and lots of thought gone into pen designs and enrichment, no ideally these animals wouldn't be here they should be living their lives naturally in the wild, but humans created their fate being thoughtless and selfish so I'm very grateful The Ark Wildlife Park exists for them.Written 20 February 2025
- joannabL7421LY0 contributionsGreat experience!I bought this experience for my husband's 60th birthday. We are both animal lovers and always like watching the Meerkats on zoo visits etc. so the experience was right up our street. We both had an amazing time. The Meerkats were super cute, friendly and it was a real hands-on experience. Chloe our guide was really lovely and it was fascinating learning all about Meerkats in general. We hand fed them, they climbed all over us and even used our heads as their viewing platform 😍. Following our Meerkat encounter we walked around the rest of the wildlife park to see the their other rescue animals. We would definitely recommend the Meerkat experience or even just visiting the wildlife park. We will definitely be going back in the summer for another 'meet the Meerkats' experience!Written 16 February 2025
- Rebecca A0 contributionsWorst wildlife park I've visitedOne of the worst wildlife parks I've visited. The enclosures was small poorly built and disgusting. Some animals was knee deep in mud . The path to walk on was unstable and slippery . Would not recommend and definitely not worth £13.50 entry .Written 31 December 2024

- cristinarQ7319CI0 contributionsMeerkats are AwesomeThe Meerkat Experience was brilliant. They are inquisitive, adorable creatures; ate out of our hands, climbed on us like trees, and sat on us. You could tell the Zookeepers love them and their jobs. Thank you for a great experience.Written 22 October 2024
- 378kaiserk0 contributionsGreat place for a day outMe and my partner did the meerkat experience, they were very friendly! The staff were very friendly and great when it came to advice and asking questions. Had a great time looking around the park at all of the other animals aswell. - G3345MPlauras0 contributionsif you love foxes, it’s a must do!I had an incredible experience with the foxes! If you’re an animal lover, especially fond of foxes, this is an absolute must-visit. The zookeeper was exceptional—extremely knowledgeable, kind, and clearly passionate about the animals. All of the staff were equally lovely and went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. It’s evident that they truly care for the animals in their care.Written 14 October 2024

- FarAway457405850670 contributionsBest day ever !!Me and my partner did the meerkat encounter experience and it was honestly the best experience ever!!! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, despite a power cut which meant the reptile area was closed it was still super fun. It was really nice to see all the animals with so much room to explore in and so many toys , which I feel is rare to see in other animal parks. The animal keeper who did our encounter was so lovely and told us so many things about the meerkats and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend this place!!!Written 13 October 2024
- 464cathrineb0 contributionsAmazing staff and exceptional valueI booked the ultimate experience for my daughter on her 21st birthday. The journey up to the park was going very badly with the drive going from just over 4 hours to an expected almost six whilst en route! In a panic we called the park to explain and they were amazing, reassuring us that we could still attend despite arriving well past the booked time. On arrival the greeting was warm and friendly, the keeper that accompanied us on the 3 chosen experiences was knowledge, friendly and helped make my daughters special day one to remember. Thank you all so much for providing such exceptional service and ensuring my daughter had a magical experience with animals she truly loves. The look on her face was worth the long journey there and back. Would recommend a visit to this very worthwhile park that provides much needed care for rescued exotic animals.Written 1 October 2024

I visited the park with my family having seen it on the news during lockdown, I wasn't aware of it but having read the other reviews I thought we should have a nosey. What can I say, it's a lovely place to visit with a young family, they have a really well kept outdoor play area and if the weather is a bit pants there is a fantastic playbarn with lovely equipment for the kids. We took our own picnic and there are lovely picnic tables all round the site, we chose to sit around the lake where we could watch the lemurs popping to and from the island, and sunbathing on the bridge, so entertaining. It's not a huge place so would say perfect for a good few hours, we spent time to watch all the unusual animals there, some I have never heard of or seen before, they all have their own stories being a rescue sanctuary and some are very sad. If you don't want to take a picnic there is a little cafe serving home cooked food, that, from what I saw was really reasonably priced. If you're in the area on holiday I do really recommend visiting this place.

Had a wonderful trip with my two grandson's. They really enjoyed feeding the goats, seeing the foxes and the soft play area. The staff in the cafe were so helpful and went above board to make food for my dairy intolerant little one. Thank you The Ark we will be back

We last visited Ark in 2020 and what fantastic changes it has made! We love it when we go to places where the staff really care about the place and where money is put back into the business with such care. Lots of the animals are unusual and a real mixed bag as they are often rescues or animals seized from illegal trade/customs.
Since the last time we came they have introduced the Trash Panda indoor soft play area which our sensory ASD little boy absolutely loved, and another indoor play area with a large climbing frame and some fab ride on electric carts (which take contactless card) that go around a track. So, now, so even if the weather is a bit iffy then you have some lovely fun bits to do. Likewise there is shaded/covered areas in front of the cafe. Really liked the dinosaurs they have added in now too.
The tanuki will always be my fave!

Granted it was a terrible day -however we LOVE animals and this did not stop us. We’ve also been to a lot of farms/wildlife parks and zoos from the big to the small and family run.
There is a potentially exciting cat behind the counter but the lady on reception didn’t engage with my young son or tell us about it until we asked what it was.
We had to persuade same member of staff that the offer with Kids Pass to have two free children enter with two paying adults was correct. Just to compare two adult tickers are the same price as WHOLE family entering Wolds (they have Lions & Bears and here are mostly foxes!)
We were given a nice map that has. Child friendly offer of finding stamps to gain a prize. We saw not one place to stamp as we went around. After a staff member said that you « had to know what you were looking for » . Hmm. No pointed gained.
The Artic foxes are sweet but enclosures in general look sad -or are with difficult to see through glass.
I expected to spend 2/3 hours there based on price but we left after just over an hour.
All reviews on close inspection are of experiences …
My advice would be go to Lincolnshire Wildlife Park or Wolds!

Honestly the staff are just so rude I took my
Two children on a week day not even a hello or a smile they just took my money. Non of the keepers seem to be able to crack a smile. Went to buy some food from the cafe had to wait for the woman to finish her conversation and then proceed to clear plates before she served me bare in mind we were the only ones in there at that time. She then told me my daughter was upsetting their serval cat with all the noise she was making because she started crying. Animals are fun to look at but the staff are rude and very unwelcoming

I absolutely love meerkats and this wildlife farm have lots of them! I loved my experience and got to meet a family of meerkats that were super friendly. The keeper was very knowledgeable and made the experience a happy and comfortable one. Would highly recommend this place as it’s a lovely relaxed wildlife park that you can spend a whole day at.

We had a lovely afternoon wandering around here looking at the history of all the animals couldn't believe the turtles were found wandering down the High Street. Saw the lovely fox cubs would have loved to take one home so cute. Fell in love with the little marmoset that came up close to say hello. Loved watching the savannahs cat while we sat and had a coffee my son enjoyed collecting the stamps something to keep his interest as he gets bored easily

I can't recommend this park highly enough. We have just visited while on holiday in the area. Although there are a number of wildlife parks in the area, we chose to visit this one because it is a sanctuary, and are very glad we did. The obvious care that is shown towards animals who need it is really something to behold. The enclosures are large, natural, and stimulating for the animals within them. Thank goodness there are places like Ark Wildlife Park to give animals from often very sad circumstances a new home and a new life. As a result, the animals all seem as happy and friendly as it is possible to be, and we got to see a number of breeds / animals we had simply never seen before. We were also really pleased to see how much care and thought has gone into Covid 19 arrangements, and it felt really safe, and while some centres seem to be simply shutting down the inside parts of their exhibitions, here there was a very clear, very safe one way system with one family allowed in certain areas at a time. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and can't recommend it highly enough.

Doing a grand job rescuing animals even though many failed to put in an appearance. Too many signs so one just misses things. Sign for ball play digger stating contactless payment needs to be lower down near the digger. Lost £2 and couldn't get refund. Took ages to get attention at front desk. Same worker that was unsympathetic about digger totally ignored me at the desk. Not enough toilets and no toilet paper. Stone path at monkey pen is dangerous as stones too big. Gate to dinosaur area hard to open. Both situations not good for disabled. Horrible stink of burning fat when we sat in play area. Steering wheel came off of the play area 'tractor'. Having said all that the 2 girls aged 12 and 9 enjoyed themselves but I wouldn't take a 15 year old. It really is for young children.

Thanks for the feedback and glad you appreciate the hard work our staff and volunteers do. We wont reply to all the points raised as think they all stem from the digger issue. To explain again, there is a sign stating the digger is contactless and also a card machine. You had put the coins in a random hole in the mechanism, where there is no coin return, sign or anything. The reason I may not have been very sympathetic (although polite and explained) was because we now have to call an engineer out to check there is no damage and the coins havent got caught somewhere, which we could do without during a cost of living crisis. I am not really sure what more we could of done to make it clear it was contactless and has never happened before.
As for waiting, nobody ignored you at all, having reviewed the CCTV you were taking pictures in our fab dino egg before coming to the counter and shouting over other people waiting that unless someone came and served you right now you were going to walk out with a toy without paying, we werent given a chance to come and serve you. There is a big sign at reception saying to please go to the cafe if no one there as we use it when busy in the cafe. I am sorry if you felt you were ignored but everybody was busy serving the queue and there was a sign to direct customers. Anyway, hoping this clears things up and glad you reviewed so we could explain again about the digger. Thanks for supporting the sanctuary.

Really great find and will definitely return. Sad that so many of the animals are there because someone fancied an exotic pet then didn't know how to look after it, however, good that Ark knows how to. The whole site is well set out and clearly the care of the animals is paramount. We had a really good visit and enjoyed learning things we didn't know about some of the animals. Everyone there was really helpful and the keepers were really knowledgeable. We visit Lincolnshire regularly and will go there a gain. Good value and a nice little cafe too.
