      Amazing experience
Our tour guide, David, was an amazing guide. Just did the suspension bridge as the wind was really blowing and the temperature was in the negative degrees.

      Tourists beware!
Shady organization. They use vendors to sell tickets and then refuse to refund them. I was sold tickets to the mini train tour and waited hours for the train. When it never showed up I went back to their office just for them to realize the tour was closed that day. They refused to give a refund. They prey on American tourists. Do not use them if you are a tourist!

      Train to Montreux
A fun trip on the train from Geneva to Montreux in the winter. Get off in Montreux, walk the lakefront promenade, stop at the statue dedicated to Freddy Mercury-Queen, continue on to the casino and tour the recording studio for Queen. Have luxurious lunch at the Grand Hotel Suisse overlooking the Lake. Return to Geneva viewing the Vineyards of Lavaux. Lovely way to spend a day outside of Geneva

      Incredible Mont Blanc experience!
I had the privilege of visiting Mont Blanc in June 2024 as part of an educational tour with my daughter and it was truly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The itinerary was well-structured, allowing us to explore breathtaking views from the Aiguille du Midi cable car and the scenic mountain train to Mer de Glace. Every moment was unforgettable—from the crisp mountain air to the stunning panoramic landscapes. The free time in Chamonix Village gave us a chance to have lunch at the Little Boxes Cafe while soaking in the charm of the area. Though the schedule was packed, it was well-paced, making the excursion both exciting and educational.

Amazing trip from Geneva to Chamonix
Guided Trip from Geneva to Chamonix Mont Blanc – An Unforgettable Experience If you’re in Geneva and looking for an unforgettable adventure, the guided trip to Chamonix Mont Blanc with Swiss Tours is an absolute must! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, well-organized, and breathtaking. The journey from Geneva to Chamonix was smooth, with stunning Alpine scenery along the way. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided great insights into the region’s history, geography, and culture. Once in Chamonix, the views of Mont Blanc—the highest peak in Western Europe—were absolutely mesmerizing. One of the highlights of the tour was the glacier train ride to Montenvers, which took us up to the famous Mer de Glace glacier. The scenery was spectacular, and the experience of stepping inside the glass box at the top of Mont Blanc was surreal! Standing there, surrounded by the breathtaking peaks, felt like being on top of the world. The tour was well-paced, allowing enough free time to explore Chamonix, enjoy local cuisine, and soak in the mountain atmosphere. Whether you’re an adventure enthusiast or simply love nature, this trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Geneva!

      Mini bus tour of Geneva.
A very knowledgeable English speaking guide which meant we learnt more than just researching ourselves. I do not think we saw all the places we expected to see - for example, the Russian Church or the flower clock, which was disappointing. Felt the tour was a little costly but being in a mini bus we were able to go more easily towards the Old Town. Also because the city is so small you can easily find your way by tram to many of the places. We were, however, pleased to have booked a tour before arriving.

      Disappointed
I thought this would be a magical day unfortunately the weather was bad so the train trip was cancelled also the cable car was cancelled until after noon because of bad winds so when we eventually went up we did not have as much time It was beautiful and breathtaking but thought we had far to much time in Chamonix and the guide just waffled on they should have a plan B for bad weather and the price of £197 was extortionate we were refunded £33 for train cancellation for two it would be much cheaper to arrange yourself, you can buy tickets online and arrange own travel , the coach going back was organised chaos Would not recommend at all for the price please arrange yourself honestly it’s not difficult I wish we had would have saved loads

Chamonix and Mont Blanc as beautiful as it gets. We visited in month of October and yet it was around 1-2 degrees on top. Short walk to the village after you reach location in coach and then with cable car you reach on top of the peak and the view from the cable car is simply breath taking. It was month of October and there was still enough ice to enjoy. We also saw lot of people Alpining (alps trekking), right from the Mont Blanc and many even para gliding from the cliff.

The ice cave however was closed and we could not enjoy visiting it, but train trip to ice cave was again worth taking.

To top that Chris our tour guide was really good cautioning and things that needs to be done first since there was lot of crowd.

Chamonix and Mont Blanc Day Trip from Geneva

    Geneva

Great day out ! Worth every penny! Your guide was great cheers Chris

Our review on the day trip from begining to end .

Chamonix and Mont Blanc Day Trip from Geneva
    (KTG104) - Chamonix GOLD

To start the day we arrived a little earlier (8:15) then suggested (8:30) as I wanted to make sure we were in the right place with the details they provided- (Geneva Bus Station
    1201 Geneva, Switzerland).
I found the address didn't show directly where it was so I have provided a pin drop below for exactly where our bus was !

    https://maps.app.goo.gl/kTR1bf46WvLURoTm8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

The bus was very comfortable and almost felt new, it had a glass roof which was cool and unexpected the bus company was SWISSTOURS there office is directly opposite the bus station (Swisstours/Keytours).

We left sharply at 8:36! However the bus wasn't full. I'm assuming due to the time of year it was a little quieter.

Once we got going Chris (The Guide) introduced himself and Niall (the driver). He explained how the day would go and what we would see and do on the trip. Which was brilliant as it gave a clear picture of the day .

We then traveled for around 1h20 minutes with some greats views to chamonix bus park, where we left the bus and walked towards the cable car station. Chris then explained that because we had really good weather he would allow us more time at the top to get the most out of it.

We had from 10:00 till 14:00 to travel from the bottom to the top and back down which was plenty of time to see everything and even get some lunch in with an amazing view! (Check out the photos ).

Once 14:00 came we rejoined as a group and walked over to the train station where we all including Chris heading up the mountain and he showed us all around the ice caves and then waited for us to make sure we all got back to the bottom on the train.

At 17:00 we got on the bus at the train station where we headed back over to the chamonix bus station to pick up a few others who had booked different activities.

At this point we had already spoken to Chris about getting a bus direct to the airport he said this was not a problem at all and took us off the bus and placed us on a different one where we rode it all the way to Geneva then the airport which was perfect timing for our evening flight !

We honestly couldn't have been more happy with the day we had and the service we were provided with!

Thank you very much Chris !! And Swiss tours/key tours

Hope to see you again soon

I booked the Chamonix Mont Blanc 8h30 excursion from Geneva for 3 adults and 2 children with high expectations, but the experience was extremely disappointing, deeply upsetting and poorly managed.

The excursion was marketed and priced as a full trip, including access to the top of Mont Blanc, which was a key highlight and a primary reason for booking this tour. Expecting to experience the full excursion as advertised, the excursion did not deliver the experience I paid for, as the top half of the trip was closed due to weather conditions. While I understand that weather can impact activities, the service I paid for—advertised as a full excursion including the complete experience—was not provided.

What made the situation even worse was the rude, unacceptable and unprofessional behavior of our tour guide, Anthony.

When Anthony informed the group that the top half of the excursion was closed, he offered a train ride as compensation. However, this was not a suitable alternative for what I had paid for. I politely asked him how I would be compensated given that I had paid in full, and his response was aggressive, unprofessional, and humiliating. He loudly stated that he "wasn’t a magician," which was witnessed by other group members and the public. This interaction left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable.

Upon returning to Geneva, myself and other group members followed Anthony’s advice and approached the company office to discuss the issue, this was met with rudeness and dismissal. We were told to leave and claimed the office was closed, yet more customers were being served while we were turned away.
This added unnecessary stress to an already disappointing day, especially since it was Christmas Eve—a day that should have been special and memorable for positive reasons rather than negative ones.

Overall, this excursion felt like a waste of money and time. This trip was supposed to be a special experience for my family, but it turned into a stressful and disappointing ordeal. Given the lack of professionalism, poor customer service and failure to deliver the advertised experience was incredibly sad and disheartening. I cannot recommend this company!

Rating: 1/5 – A sad and disappointing experience. Avoid this company if you value professionalism and good service.

Good morning, and thank you very much for sharing your feedback. We truly appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points regarding your experience. Firstly, we would like to emphasize that our tour does not advertise a trip to the top of Mont Blanc, as it is not accessible by the cable car. However, we do offer the cable car ride to Aiguille du Midi, which provides breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. We always strive to offer an exceptional experience, but please note that this is a high-altitude mountain tour, and conditions can change quickly due to weather. As mentioned in the tour description, we cannot predict weather conditions, such as strong winds, that might affect the operation of the cable car. Unfortunately, these kinds of factors are outside of our control, and we do our best to inform guests beforehand that certain activities might be impacted by such conditions. We understand that it can be disappointing if an activity is not available as expected, but we try to ensure that the experience remains memorable despite any unforeseen changes. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused, and we hope you understand that safety is our top priority. We always aim to provide an accurate and enjoyable experience, and we appreciate your understanding of the challenges that can come with mountain tours. Thank you again for your review, and have a good new year's eve.

Please do not book with Keytours if you don’t want to risk being ripped off. We paid approximately £378 for two tickets to be taken by coach from Geneva to the Mont Blanc cable car and ice train in Chamonix. There are two stages for the cable car. Having gone through the barrier at the bottom and swiped our tickets we were told due to bad weather that we could only do the first (small) stage. We asked Keytours for a partial refund as we had missed the main part of the cable car trip. They refused point blank as we had already partly used our ticket (even though we only found out the situation as we were about to step foot on the cable car). Once they have your money there is no customer service. So I would advise anyone to simply get a bus to Chamonix and then pay €73 for the cable car direct with Mont Blanc and €37 for the ice cave train. At least if they have bad weather you have a chance of getting a refund.

Dear customers, First of all we want to apologize for what happened. From Keytours it is warned that weather conditions may cause closures of some activities such as the cable car or the mountain train. Regarding the refund, it also depends on the cable car company, since if the ticket is used they tell us that it can no longer be refunded. Do not hesitate to contact us at info@keytours.ch in case you need it. Thank you

I would not use this tour company. We booked a half day trip to Chamonix from Geneva. The bus ride there was great, as was the Mer de Glace. The tour guide(Antoine) in the morning told us since we are only doing a half day tour to return to the Bus stop at 12:30 for the return bus to Geneva. The bus operator kept scanning our ticket and arguing with us that our return ticket is not until 6:15. He made us feel like second class passengers begging to get on the bus in front of everyone. He refused to call the back office until we insisted, and then he begrudgingly let us on the bus. The two of us couldn’t even sit next to each other because there were no more seats available together. Although we enjoyed the bus ride to get there, along with Antoine, the return bus operator ruined our experience. Do not book with this disorganized company unless you want to be made to feel like a second class passenger in front of everyone else on the bus.

Good morning, thank you for your review. We are sorry you feel disapointed just because you didnt' sit together. There is no seat number so you can be seated apart. We hope you enjoyed the train and the glacier as Chamonix as it's one of the most beautiful mountains in Europe. Best regards

My son and I took the Key Tour's day tour to Chamonix from Geneva. Chamonix is beautiful and well worth the trip but the tour was a total waste of a LOT of money. There were about 50+ people so they split us into two buses. We were on a bus with no tour guide. No instructions were given and when we arrived in Chamonix the tour guide did not introduce himself or provide any instruction. I did not even know who he was. I asked the driver where we should go to get our tickets and he waved me in the direction of the gondola ticket office. After wandering around we happened upon the tour guide and the group. I only knew it was our group because I recognized people from the bus. After a long and very disorganized check-in process, we enjoyed the mountain top without the guide providing any information. When we later met the "guide" to move on to the train (I still don't know his name - blonde shoulder length hair) he sped walked us through town with no awareness of the trail of people he was leaving in the dust. At one point he stopped to show us a mural of (and I quote) "a bunch of people who are important to the town's history, but I can't tell you who they are or anything about them." It was a very hot day and he showed no awareness of his guests and how many could not keep up with his speed walking. We had booked the late bus home (6:30 rather than 5:00) but he could not tell us where to meet the bus or even if it ran that day. Overall, I loved the town and the mountains but have never been on a worse tour. Save the money, take the train or a Flix Bus and pay for the gondola, train. . . when you arrive.

    1. This isn’t a guided tour. Maybe I misunderstood but I thought I would at least see the guide between activities (they don’t go up the cable cars) and have some help getting from one to the other. I only saw the guide twice - before we boarded the cable car and at 5 pm when she counted us before departure. If you’re comfortable navigating on your own with a map and would like to pay extra for this company to book the ticket or multipass for you then you should book this ‘tour’.

    2. The lines for the glass box are very long and it’s unrealistic to meet at 12:30. I’d also say skip the mer de glace if you’re not ready to hike up several (seems like hundreds) flights of stairs in the blistering heat. Instead, you can take your time on the mountain and enjoy a picnic at the mid-way point (the first cable car stop) instead of rushing from one activity to the next.

    3. If you’d like to explore paragliding, book a tandem experience either before you get onto the cable car or in advance. I regretted not having the foresight or time to do it.

    4. The lunch wait times can be significant. There was one server for the entire restaurant when I went so it may be prudent to either set aside enough time for this (at least an hour/an hour and a half) or pack something.

    5. There’s an amusement park up the road from the train station. The roller coaster ride was especially fun although some kids got hurt at the end when it’s mandatory to slow down (they didn’t and collided)

We travelled from Annecy on a day trip to Chamonix. When we arrived found some city centre parking which was the first 30 mins free then 60 cents per half hour which added up during the day. Most shops didn't open until 10 am "McDonalds included". Having researched what to do for the day we decided to take the cable car to Mont Blanc, we decided to go to the local tourist office which was easy to find. This was a good idea as once we had spoken to the staff who were very helpful we were advised the most cost effective pass was the family day multi pass which would take us to the top of Mont Blanc as well as the Mer de Glace Train. This cost approx 230 euro's for a family of 4. Mont Blanc was excellent - amazing views. After lunch we went on the train to the glacier. The last train was at 17.00 hrs so we caught the 15:20 train, it takes around 25 mins to ascend. Great views, when we got to the top you have to catch another cable car to the Glacier, we were surprised to see a rope denying access. After a few minutes we saw a sgn saying last cable car at 15:30! We could not go down to the glacier, a major disappointment. This had not been highlighted anywhere. There were still people arriving experiencing the same issues. If we had know this we would have caught an earlier train.

Good morning, we don't run tours from Annecy so you must write to the wrong company.

I had an incredible time on this tour. The views were breathtaking and the tour provides excellent value for the price. Our tour guide was awesome at providing instruction, explaining history behind the places we visited and gave us an active and fun itinerary. I hope to be back soon to book this tour again.
